IMO the Chi l'ha visto? programme about Liam contains some information that is not relevant. You get a feeling that they are trying to create drama. For example, his travel route doesn't seem odd to me. He was on vacation and had time to adapt.

If he was last heard from on May 9 (some sources say May 7) from Turin and someone bought a train ticket with his card on May 10 (though some sources say May 9), where did he spend the night? Instead of traveling to Nice, they could have checked Turin hostels/hotels first.

Agree. He must have spent the night somewhere and there are other camaras.

No, his travel route wasn't odd. Seems that he was saving money on airfares and this ~also~ determined his itinerary.

As for the murder that he would have been next to - this seems very local and the man is in custody so why would he or anyone else come after Liam because of this? And trace him via Athens to Torino? Not very likely IMHO.

I don't think he had a house in Isreal btw. Perhaps someone mistook his facebook status for a home address.

For security reasons (not immigration) you still need to show a valid ID when traveling by air within the Schengen Area. I use my national ID card instead of the passport.

Schengen Area - Wikipedia

Apparently under the EU guidelines, you would only need to present your ID once: either at the check-in, going through security or at the gate. This isn't my experience.

If Liam did stay in Athens where? I have a large network of friends there. Bizarre photos from Athens surely no 1 would be Acropolis. Greek food not a non descript street. selfie near acropolis would be tourist go to!. No mention of hotel.

Athens has the wow factor. Bur random non descript street don,t get!.

Athens is an Airport from hell so far away. Either pay between 38 and 55 euros to the centre by taxi or metro 10 euros but metro is full of syrian refugees pickpocketing. Or worse.

Sorely if someone came forward police would know who he was. Surely police know who he was sitting next to on the plane, if he was. They could i,d him.

A few hours on a plane is boring but you get to know who is sitting next to you!. Even if they don,t chat what they read or do.

Article from June 6: Liam Biran, scomparso da Torino/ Chi è la donna che ha risposto dal suo iPad?

"Hi Liam, I am your mother, we miss you so much, we haven't heard from you since May 7". The woman explained that in the last contact Liam had told her that he was about to take a flight to Turin.

In other articles it is said that he notified his relatives of his plans (May 7) three days before his disappearance (presumably May 10).

In the stations of Aosta his name does not appear among the travelers who have purchased tickets for France.

Liam's father came to Italy to find his son.

Are we talking about the flight from Athens to Turin (not sure if he didn't have a stop in Rome)? If he really spoke to his brother-in-law on May 9, then we know that he arrived to Turin. If not, we know that his credit card was there, as it was used the next day to buy a train ticket.

It sounds like he was about to take a flight on May 7, but other sources don't confirm that. I think it's more likely that he told his mother on May 7 that he was taking a flight to Turin in a few days. As I said, his credit card made it there, very likely he did as well. It would be interesting to know if he made any other purchases in Turin.

Yes flight from Athens!. Surely police know if he did or not !. CCTV. Cards can be stolen by anyone and his ipad had no charge all Athens hotels have internet, power.

My credit card has a PIN code. Won't work in a ticket machine without the PIN.

If he had booked the flight from Athens to Torino, but wasn't on it, surely this would be known by now. IMHO we can safely assume that he arrived in Torino.

Most ticket machines in europe just need you to wave card in frount no code. Same with supermarkets etc. Max to do that around £30. No chip and pin

Can just add cash to make up difference
