Left home at 1:30 am? An already planned meetup? Phone records should show if he got a call or message or sent one before leaving.

I am more worried about his being near to the River Trent if he was in the area of the rowing club.

Just seeing some stuff that needs to be confirmed. Not good.

Not confirmed, but I think it would unlikely be anyone else given this was near where car was found.

So sad for his girlfriend and family.

An inquest to look into the circumstances surrounding the death of a Derby man who was found in the River Derwent has been postponed.

The body of Jack Dodder, from Chaddesden, was discovered in the river near Derby Rowing Club, on the edge of Darley Park, on Thursday, July 22.

A hearing into the death of the 22-year-old had been due to be held on Friday morning, July 30, at Derby Coroners' Court.

However, the hearing was postponed for unknown reasons the morning it was due to take place.

There is no indication at this time when it will be relisted.

Inquests are held when there is reasonable cause to suspect a person's death is due to anything other than natural causes, with a coroner investigating the circumstances behind their passing.
