Jailhouse Milestone for Casey

  • #21
----------
I hope she realizes she aint seen nothing yet!!! Jail is not prison.:floorlaugh:

What is the difference? I don't really know how day-to-day life differs between the two. Can someone explain with a bit of detail? I'd like to know. I imagine it differs in terms of inmates and activities available? But, if she is sent to death row, won't it be sort of similar to jail? Still isolated, not much in terms of prison jobs, schooling, or other programs, etc?

Unfortunately, I think she has adjusted well. I agree with whoever said that. I don't notice her looking particularly thin or withdrawn. She seems positively beaming when she comes into court - flirting, sheepish grins, twinkling eyes, like it's all a big party.
I'm sure she hates being confined and not being able to party, or be with men, or eat what she wants, take a nice shower when she wants, to see the sky or go to the beach, etc. But these types tend to adapt better than people who are not as evil. I'm not sure why. Like SP. I'm sure he would love to be free, but he has not seemed to wither on death row. Sociopathic types tend to adapt well and find enjoyment in working other inmates, prison guards, etc. I don't know.

La Vita Bella, ICA.

Nevertheless, this makes me so happy! I guess I'm cruel but the irony of her tattoo coupled with where she is now just makes my day.

853 days in lock up.

Caylee LIVED for approximatly, 1000 days.

When this goes to trial in May, Casey will have been in protective custody for approx 910 days, give or take a few days.
Add to that, the time she was in before, and, the time length of the trial, Casey will be batting right at those 1000 days, also.
As much as I hate the thought of a 2 month or more trial, how poetic would it be, that when all is said and done, the verdict comes in on little Caylee's birthday.....

To bad that someone didn't think enough of Caylee to make sure that she was always protected ~

Thank you, Purple Iris! You put it better than I could!

Casey has lived her life in jail like nothing ever happened to Caylee.
There is NO promise that they will put Casey in Gen. Population. I think the Death Penalty is MUCH MUCH more fitting for her.

She killed her OWN child so WHY would anyone want her to get LIP?

She does not care now and she not going to care even if they give her LIP.

For once her in her life I would love to see her sacred, for her to be defeated, knowing that Mommy & Daddy can't save her from getting the needle.

People have to remember that this is all about a innocent two year old girl.

Because life without parole means a monotonous life, day in, day out of the same exact thing until you die. It means dealing with the hierachy of the prisoners, being somebody's biO#$h just to survive, working in the prison someplace to earn $.50 a day....also probably getting beat up or worse because she will be branded a child killer.
The DP means solitary confinement with 1 hour a day outside, 3 meals, and endless appeals where she will probably die of old age anyway before she would ever be executed.
I prefer LWOP for her. Hell on earth.

I keep thinking of the Angry-in-Jail video where she says "I've been here a MONTH. I don't have access to the internet I can't do anything from where I'm at."

Multiply that by 28 and it's a little shy of 853 days.

snip:

Anthony has served 853 days in custody since her booking on October 14, 2008.

The jail's longest serving inmate was booked in May of 2006, logging 1,752 days.

Hardy har har. I think congratulations are in order. KC, in all seriousness, seems to have adapted well to her surroundings. MHO is LWOP would be a better punishment where she would be integrated with GPop instead of being put up in a solitary cell like a stay at a hotel. Has anybody seen "Beyond Scared Straight"???? The death penalty will only continue her "special inmate" status. She will still be kept away from the other prisoners.

All in all, she truly seems to be adapting to her new life.

so, is this her second milestone?

She's already been named the most notorious....

What keeps playing over and over and over in my head is that sound bite for "Beyond Scared Straight" where that man/woman prisoner says "I'LL FOLD YOU LIKE A PIECE OF PAPER" :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: My daughter laughs at me because I bust out laughing every time I hear it. I love thinking of KC with somebody like that.

The only thing I want is for Casey to suffer, suffer for the rest of her life. I want her to think about what she is NOT getting to do:

Hanging out with friends
Partying her rear off
Going shopping
Going to movies
etc.

I'm just afraid that they will end up putting her in solitary and I don't along with all of us here want that.

If she gets killed in prison, oh well. she's not special that she should get special treatment above everybody else because she's Casey Anthony.

If LWOP is going to make her life a living breathing Hell than I'm all for it.

Heck, let her share the same cell as Misty, then they can be roomies.

Was that absolutely the worst place and the women or whatever they were. One had a rectangle on her head - A RECTANGLE. I said to my son "is that a rectangle she has on her head and he said "I think so". I could barely eat my frozen yogurt. And the one in the field who looked like a giant from Night of the Living Dead.

What about the pretty one who comes out with a chart and starts crying and shows her bruises and says they come out you if you are somewhat pretty and I can't fight and the tears flowed. She was lying on her bed and this maniac came flying in to her cell and started pummeling her.

But I do not think she will go in general population - she would be hurt.

If she gets death, it is 23 hours a day in her cell.

If LWOP, I think they will put her with a special group of prisoners. They do it for pedophiles - I would think they do it for someone as high profile as KC. They know Cindy and George would sue immediately if she is hurt or killed. Just mo.

IF Casey gets LWOP, she will NOT be living in solitary. She will be put into General Population. I believe that new prisoners are held in a special location for a short period of time where they are given a nice little orientation where they will explain to Casey that she now belongs to THEM. She has NO freedom. NO privacy. She will follow THEIR rules. Once Casey is convicted for murder... she is a murderer... just like all the other murderers in the Florida Prison System.

Yes, I hope that Casey meets someone like that woman on "Beyond Scared Straight." She scared me and I was in the safety of my living room. :floorlaugh:

Seriously - they could have been in the latest horror film - that is how bad these women were. I have to check out Lowell.

Mila (last name?) said she would give up all visitation rights if she could be where KC is now rather than "prison". She said prison is completely different and not fun at all.

I couldn't get past the one that had a beard tatooed on her face

and yes, DP = solitare confinement 23 hours a day. LWOP = gen pop. In my opinion the prison system could care less about CA and GA possibly suing them. :floorlaugh: It's kind of like....buyer beware...you do the crime, you do the time and if that means getting killed once you get to big bad prison...oh well. Might should have thought that whole "killing your daughter" thing through, KC.

I just have a feeling that Casey is going to get the death penalty. That phone call Casey made to her mom, Lee and Kristina, if admissable, I think is going to put the jury over the edge whe it comes to just how cold and cruel Casey Anthony is. It's bad enough that she duct taped Caylee's little face and threw her out in those swamp-like woods like trash... but this sentence during this phone call is just.... deplorable.

"Oh. My. God. Calling you guys... a waste... a huge waste."

Then we have...

"All they care about is Caylee. All they want is Caylee back."

Needle... meet Casey Anthony.

IF Casey is put into G-Pop... I don't think she is going to be killed. Don't get me wrong, I know that people get murdered in prison, but it is FAR less common in women prisons. She'll get in fights and will find herself on the losing end of those fights a lot of the time. If she couldn't even move with Zenaida holding her down at Jay Blanchard Park... how is she going to protect herself against the brutes she is going to be up against?

Casey's best bet, if she is given LWOP, is to find a girlfriend... the biggest, burly, possibly bearded girlfriend she can find. She better just hope that this girlfriend doesn't have an angry ex-girlfriend. :floorlaugh:

Can't wait until Cindy gets her first picture of Casey and her new girlfriend from prison. Cindy can hang it on her wall.

I said to my son - what is that on her face - He said "a bearded tatoo". She wants to have a beard. Insane asylum. And that is where KC is going.

It's a new show on A&E called "Beyond Scared Straight." It takes troubled youth inside Prison walls to let them get a feel for what their lives are going to be like if they continue on the path they are taking.

It's very good. Very real and very scary.

ETA: One of the first episodes took a bunch of young girls inside a Woman's Prison and we are talking about the inmates seen in this episode. I will say that these women are at least using their time in prison to do some good by trying to talk to young people about what their life is going to be like if they ever make it behind those prison walls... they don't sugarcoat it for them at all. They give them the cold, harsh realities of what life is like in Prison. I really felt bad for the young girl who had to see her own mother in prison. I'm rooting for that young girl to turn her life around.

Sorry we went off topic there - wasn't that mother slime. She was just pathetic.

That's it - I am done with that subject albeit an interesting one.
