Officers are renewing the appeal for information to help trace 29-year-old Jamie Waugh missing from Larkhall.

Jamie was reported missing to police on Sunday, 6 February, 2021.

He left an address in Glen Ave, Larkhall with the intention of going to another friend's address around 4.00am on Sunday, 31 January, 2021. No-one has seen or heard from him since.

Jamie is described as being around 5ft 11 inches in height, brown receding hair with blue eyes. When last seen he was wearing a black t-shirt, navy blue zipper top, black Adidas shorts and grey trainers. He has a tattoo on his right arm with the letters JAMIE and a skull roses tattoo on his left arm.

Sergeant Audrey Peat of Hamilton Police Station said : “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Jamie, his family and friends are extremely worried about him. They are asking him to please get in touch with someone to let them know he is ok.

“Officers are continuing their enquiries in the local area with the assistance of specialist officers and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 1830 of 6 February 2021."

MOUNTAIN rescue teams are desperately searching for a Larkhall man who went missing over two weeks ago.

Jamie Waugh, 28, vanished from the Lanarkshire town on January 31 last month and has not been seen since.

He was last sighted on Glen Avenue while on his way to visit a pal.

Nobody has seen or heard from Jamie since he was reported missing on February 6 after concerns were raised for him.

A renewed appeal has been launched to trace a missing man who has not been seen since the end of January.

Jamie Waugh, 29, was last seen at around 4am on Sunday, January 31, 2021, when he left an address in Glen Avenue in Larkhall. He was reported missing to police a week later on Sunday, February 6.

His family has appealed for anyone who knows where Jamie might be to get in touch: “Jamie, please get in touch, we miss you and want you back. If anyone can help with information, no matter how small, please call the police.”

Inspector Tony Gallagher said: “Jamie’s disappearance has had a devastating impact on his family and we continue to provide them with support at this difficult time. Our enquiries to trace him remain ongoing.

“I am appealing to anyone who might know where Jamie is to get in touch. Although he was last seen in the early hours of the morning, someone driving to or from work might have seen him. Any detail might help us to find him.

“If you can help in anyway please call us on 101, quoting incident number 1830 of Sunday, 6 February 2021.”

Body recovered from water in Larkhall on August 1 and formally identified as Jamie.
