Janet's case coming up on ABC Primetime Crime

They're going to air the special on "Who Killed Janet Abaroa" THIS WEDNESDAY (in two days) at 10pm EST on ABC: Primetime. Check your local listings!

Hey gang, we're back on the schedule!!

Please set your DVR’s as ABC’s Primetime Crime Special with host John Quiñones will air “What Happened to Janet Abaroa” on **Wednesday , September 2, 2009 at 10/9c. **Please note that this is barring any breaking news stories.

It will also be available on the ABC site on the 3rd. It would be fantastic if we could "Rock the Ratings" and get people to watch it, download it, DVR it and mostly talk about it.

This is suppose to be a whole new show with never before seen interviews and photos. The hard questions are suppose to be asked and answered by the people involved with this case. I wish I could give you more but that's all I know. Please spread the word and tune in yourselves. I hope Raven Abaroa will finally be asked real questions. I hope VP is doing well and has a chance to speak. I hope for so many things to be addressed, I hope for Janet Abaroa's sake this show won't let us down. I have faith though, and with faith you can move mountains.

If you have a MySpace account or a FaceBook account Janet Christiansen Abaroa has a memorial page on both. Hit them up and add them as friends. I know this is just one of many cold cases out there. This week is our chance to bring some major attention to one of them.

Feel free to take my post and share it around the other places that you hang out on the internet. Here are some links for you to use and share.

I panicked this morning when I suddenly remembered that this was supposed to air last week and thought I had missed it. I quickly came to the site to see if anyone had provided commentary.

Thank God for Ted Kennedy! I didn't miss it!

Hopefully there is no other catastrophe's.

I take consolation that if we had to wait, so did the bird.

So far it looks like it's going.

I have a friend that's in New York and works in the news business and she explained to me how they do these shows.

I remember when she got me the information on Nancy Grace show and it got preempted. Then when they finally showed the clip which was like what 11 seconds and Nancy Grace pronounced Abaroa wrong and I was frustrated.

I honestly must say a huge and massive thank you to a few people are really deserved that this case has received attention.

First of all to Websleuths for the forum to be able to post our thoughts and sleuth the case. Tricia and the mods, thank you so much.

Then to Steve Huff who first did the story. Also people like NCBanker, OriginalJerseyGirl, formerly known as Jersey Girl, Golfmom and PrayersforMaura all the people that originally invested so much time and effort into sleuthing this case.

I think that all the dedication of all the above has helped get this case some national attention.

Also Gerald Owen and the producers of NC Wanted. They put in so much time and dedication to getting the story of Janet's murder out there, it really helped get this case out there on a National Level where it belongs.

I really hope ABC does a good job with the show and I am going to say a prayer tonight that some good comes from this show.

I am looking forward to this show so much and just want to know who's going to be on and if Raven is going to be talking and if Tracey Cline was interviewed.

I think I'm on pins and needles this evening.

(ha yeah Raven, whatever I know what you are thinking...I hope you sleep as good as everyone else does, that cares about Justice for Janet!)

Bump!

Clip from the ABC PrimeTime Crime page:

And: In 2005, Janet Abaroa was found stabbed to death in North Carolina, her six-month son left unharmed in another room. Her husband Raven says when he arrived home he discovered her body and called 911. But four years later, there have been no arrests in the murder of Janet as her family and police continue to search for clues. John Quinones sits down for an exclusive interview with Janet’s sisters, who tell him why they think Raven killed her.

In addition to Janet’s sisters, Quinones interviews Vanessa Pond, Raven’s wife after Janet, who is now estranged from him. After Janet’s death, Raven moved to Utah with his son and met Vanessa, a beautiful single mother. Initially, when Vanessa learned that Raven’s first wife had been murdered, she was concerned but she tells ABC that he removed every doubt she had and they eventually married. However, as Quinones reports, her perspective would soon change on Raven as well.

My cable guide is listing Primetime Crime with the case of Jaycee Dugard for tonight.

I'm not sure if my listing is accurate, but wanted to give you all a head's up, just in case.

I am so happy this case is back in the news, and on Primetime. Janet and her baby were brutally murdered and justice has been a long time coming.
I hope her murderer...and he knows who he is, has his feathers ruffled tonight, bigtime!

Bumping for Justice!

OH MY GOD. This is so AMAZING.

To all the great people who took on the job of making sure Janet's case did not get filed away and forgotten thank you, from my heart and soul, thank you.

You are what Websleuths is about. You have shown all of us how to make a difference. You did the work and you did it with pure love in your hearts.

Some people do things when they think it will benefit them or get them attention. The Websleuths Members who worked on Janet's case and continue to do so, do so, without expecting anything for themselves.

I am proud of you all and so honored that you chose Websleuths to post on.

Tricia

Boyz I saw the same thing, but it's not canceled on Facebook and tearsforjanet.com and they I heard it's part got a small Dugard segment and the show is mostly about Janet's case.

Tricia, I agree so many wonderful people here that have kept this going and I have to say thank you and all the mods for allowing us this venue!:blowkiss:

The news I've heard is that they may open with Jaycee Dugard and then devote the rest of the show to Janet Abaroa. I really hope the Jaycee Dugard story (and my heart goes out to this woman in so many ways) brings more viewers and more attention to Janet and Raven Abaroa.

It's a step in the right direction anyway.

Tricia, your encouragement and support means a lot to me. Thank you so much for the announcement that you posted. WS does make a difference in this world and we are the gold standard in crime sleuthing here.

Getting some live feed back from a friend on FaceBook. She says it's a really good show so far.

I still have to wait a couple hours.

They are doing a great show on Janet. It's such a heartbreaking story.
