I have a feeling this is a lot like the firefighters that we now know couldn't have been there...just another measure to try to keep people calm. If they can't get a fire truck in there, if they can't get surveyors in there, if they can't get accurate measurements...how are they going to run a power line?

The BBC live feed is reporting that many Japanese citizens are leaving Tokyo - heading south - to get further away from the radiation. Also talking to citizens that are saying they don't trust the information the government is giving them.
