We've just been discussing it all. Japan is handing out iodine tablets to people within the vicinity of the plant. Our members on the West Coast here are saying that ioding tablets are being scoffed up rapidly. So, I just thought I would go look here. that's all.

Queen D......here is what I told my Daughter, if it makes YOU feel better, go get the stuff. Who knows what, if ANYTHING is going to head this way, just do what you need to do to feel better about the situation.

Guy on FOX showing how they use geiger counters and the wands. He just said that 61 people in Japan (mostly workers) have already been diagnosed with radiation sickness. And, if this whole thing blows - not good for the people.

I do not, let me repeat, do not believe that there are people on the ground fighting this at the site/plant. Sorry. I don't. It has been leaked, and I do believe it to be a leak, that there is no way to assess the damage for about 6 months, due to the radiation risk. If they could get people on the ground that close, they would be able to get photos, video, and readings from that area. If they can't do that for months, it says to me that there is no one on the ground.

As people, even when we know it means enormous risk to them, it makes us feel better to know that there are humans actually in control of the situation. They are trying to calm everyone down, and I don't believe it's working.

MSNBC announcing that some agency I can't pronounce has said that this might be upgraded to a 7 out of 7 on the scale. At the same time running a trailer that says the Japanese agencies are saying that all reactors are "safe and secure". Dear God, I just want a straight answer.

If you take precautions, you may be laughed at if nothing happens, then you can throw a feast and rejoice.

If, on the other hand, something wicked this way comes, you may not be encased, for all eternity, like the stone people in Pompeii.

I do believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, but that's only my opinion - to each their own.

May I add? This ain't the end of the world, maybe only a dress rehearsal?

From person I spoke with earlier (previously worked on "The Island") , it takes 6 months in the cooling pond for the rods to stop glowing blue... IN THE COOLING POND. Also, if boron is not added, they will continue to react.

Once again, no MSM source to document this so take it as you see fit...

SInce the 6.1 in E Honshu this morning (their early afternoon), there has been a 5,2 off the E coast of Honshu, and a 6.0 off the coast of Honshu.

Also, interestingly enough, a minor (3.0) quake off the coast of Puerto Rico and 4.8 in the New Britain Region, which is off New Guinea by some distance and almost due S of Japan...
