Never before seen image of the kitchen shown in the second trailer for this Fuji TV documentary:
Yes, the voice-over near the end even says "More than 200 pictures from the crime scene." I wonder if they will really show them all.It seems like we’re going to see a very large amount of new photos of inside the house as it was found based on the last image. Have a zoom in and see:

True about Rei, and yet I noticed an image with a blurred stain on his bed, why? What was that?Safe to say, this documentary / these images fundamentally alter the accepted version of events and contradict things I was repeatedly assured. The main two off the top of my head:
*There WERE bloody footprints leading to the front door meaning this is now almost certainly the escape route.

*There seems to be NO blood in Rei’s room whatsoever. Not on the boy, not on the bed, not on the carpet. This makes clear, then, Rei was definitively the first victim imo.
You’re right, there does seem to be a stain there:True about Rei, and yet I noticed an image with a blurred stain on his bed, why? What was that?
Also, the police just recently confirmed the front door was locked. Did the assassin take the keys if he went out of the door?
I'm even more confused now.
At this point, I'm even questioning if the police didn't share report of noises that the neighboring mother and sister might have heard.
Basically so many things are uncertain again.
I don't understand.
EDIT: Also, the accepted version presented here is that Mikio was attacked at the bottom of the stairs and did not fall from them. The blood splat on the back of the PC seems to be one of the proofs of this.
It's the same thing I've always asked myself in regards to the Nagoya case (also mentioned in the documentary): the portrait of the suspect was un-blurred only recently. You’re right, there does seem to be a
stain there:

Let us ignore all the confusion for one minute, let us ignore everything that is thrown into doubt by these images contradicting not just the TMPD stance for 24 years but also the recent updates of just a few days ago — my first question is this. What the hell is the thinking behind holding on to these images all this time only to release them now? It’s not an attack, I just genuinely am bemused.
And, as I understand it, the 'suspect' mentioned in this documentary is an old lady who dealt with some foreign youths who'd get cough syrup from her pharmacy. If that's the extent of it, then that's worth precisely sweet zero. It's the same thing I've always asked myself in regards to the Nagoya case (also mentioned in the documentary): the portrait of the suspect was un-blurred only recently.
What is the point of this of making a sketch if you blur it? Who is gonna remember a face after 20+ years?
This seems to be the same pattern of the Nagoya sketch.
I'm as baffled as you.
Yes, exactly, the old lady provides basically nothing to the overall narration. And, as I understand it, the 'suspect' mentioned in this documentary is an old lady who dealt with some foreign youths who'd get cough syrup from her pharmacy. RSBM: I wondered about this blood pool. What you say makes the most sense. Certainly, stabbing or manual beating would likely mean blood flecks and it seems to be concentrated into one pool.Just re: the blood stain on Rei’s bed. It seems to me, though he was strangled, his face was also pushed down into his futon hard to stop him screaming and breathing. Hence the pooling of blood where his nose would have been pressed into it.
Are we all sure it's blood in Rei's bed? Is it possible if scared during the attack he wet himself or defecated during or after? Ugh I hate typing this, I'm a mom and that image makes me so sadI am out of Japan currently and returning today and haven’t had a chance to see it yet, but will once I’m back and have settled again.
It’s seeming that it’s posing a lot of contradictions from the comments here so far.

The stain seems to be where his face wasAre we all sure it's blood in Rei's bed? Is it possible if scared during the attack he wet himself or defecated during or after? Ugh I hate typing this, I'm a mom and that image makes me so sad![]()
Rei was found laying half off of his bed and the pooling of blood is where his face was laying, so yes sadly it will have been his blood. There are previous posts that show a police sketch of his dead body in the threads if you want to find it, but it’s not very easy to look at.Are we all sure it's blood in Rei's bed?
