I still believe it possible she had identical pink pj's and JY carried her into bathroom and cleaned her and put on another pair of pink pj's. Even though cleaned she most likely had trace blood on her that when chemically tested showed those trace amounts.
Also kids that age easily sleep 10- 12 hours a night. So again I am of the belief that JY did give her a dropper full of the extra strength Tylenol blast.
( JY even told hid mom that dropper would show his DNA, Even though it didn't for him to tell his mom that is evidence that he did at sometime give CY medicine using that dropper. ) So IMO CY was never wandering around for 10 hours. It could easily be she had only been awake a short time before MF arrived.

Grammy Jean, do you know if the dropper came with the bottle. because I don't think so.!!
So, JY may have used the dropper at another time with another medicine. therefore his prints.

Respectfully, this falls into the "could have" category. Anyone "could have" identical outfits in their wardrobe, but sticking with the facts as we know them, Shelly Schaad confirmed that CY was wearing that clothing that night. Everything was pink - t-shirt, pajamas and shirt. IF we want to consider that someone removed them and disposed of them, would they intentionally choose the same color undershirt too?

The way the blood was found at the cuffs of the legs indicates that she was stepping in the blood. This certainly seems as though they were washed as it would have been bright red and noticeable.

Re: She may not have wandered around --- we are still left with no explanation of how she got from the body to the bathroom when there is no trail of footprints yet the bathroom prints are very strong. That can't be ignored. It indicates strongly that she was indeed carried.

I do agree that my pj opinion is definitely in the "could have" category. Yet I feel that is no different than the theory that some hold that MF took her out of the house and washed pj's and brought her back to the house. That is very much also a "could have" Shelly did say that was the same pair of pj's but if CY was put into identical pj's then her testimony holds. Just like no one asked anyone at either trial could the pj's have been washed no one asked could CY have been changed into identical pj's. Hey if there is a trial 3 we could be giving attorney's some ideas :)
My 4 grand daughters have a ton of pink clothing, as I believe many little girls do. So I still believe my "could have" theory of identical pink pj's and shirt is reasonable.

There was unidentified DNA on the dropper. No, it was a generic dropper, not one that comes with the medicine.

There's no blood residue on or in the sink or drains. Phenylpthaleine can readily pick up even trace amounts of blood. There is no indication that anyone cleaned blood off themselves in that bathroom. Bathtub was checked too.

Could have easily been cleaned with baby wipes and dried with a towel that was then trashed.

Or they could have been washed right there in that house, just not by JY due to time constraints. I definitely think the Defense needs to make a bigger deal of the indication that the pajamas were washed -- what is the likelihood, show the jurors up close images of them, etc.

But what purpose would that serve? Why not just use the bathroom right there?

Also, there's no blood in C.'s room where the wipes would have been located.

The dropper was separate from the medication. Yet in the crime scene photo there was definitely a small amount of liquid present in that dropper.

And yes, JY could most certainly used the dropper at another time and he also could have used it that night.

Then his DNA should have been found on it, not someone else's.

When you have kids that age often have wipes in many rooms.

So are you now saying the unknown dna someone gave CY medicine that night?????

I don't know, it's very odd that unknown DNA was on the dropper. Not MY or JY's as one would expect.

Where she is parked doesn't matter. She was scared to walk to her car at night.....alone. If she were that afraid she should have been more concerned about leaving her friend, who was pregnant, and at home with a 2 year old alone. I'm not faulting her, I'm just saying she couldn't have been too afraid.

I totally agree and Michelle must not have been too afraid either. On the back of the house downstairs, the only window that had blinds was the bay window. The french doors and window over the sink have nothing.

But I'm trying to understand why JY wouldn't have simply used the bathroom sink/tub to clean her. He is pressed for time. He wouldn't be thinking about the bathroom drains and blood, would he? It doesn't make sense to me.

I think we should anticipate an expert analysis of the 911 call at the next trial. MF in her testimony insisted that CY talked about her daddy during the call. Let's have an expert analyze it and see what was said as well as the context in which she said it.

Because, whatever she said still does not fit the timeline of Jason being her mother's killer.

JMO

What a great idea....I hope they do. In fact, everyone may be surprised at what Cassidy really said. ;)

It would just be quicker be to use the wipes if they were right there

Why? If she wasn't acting as though she had been drugged and was "shockingly clean" what would be the point of transporting her to a hospital? Why would it occur to anyone that she may have been hurt when there was no evidence of it?

The prosecution presented a witness at the second trial to support the claim that the child witnessed the murder. That seems to completely contradict the assessment at the scene, where investigators saw no reason for her to be assessed by a professional for physical and psychological trauma. If she had been assessed by a professional, photographed, and processed for forensics, then there would no reason to rely on the observations of a daycare employee. In fact, we would also know whether the child had been cleaned at any time after the murder and before the discovery of the body.

I don't think anyone would make it to a Trial 4!! But, seriously, one of the biggest problems I have with the 911 call, before and now, is IF CY clearly said anything to implicate Jason, I would have a hard time thinking that some type of child agency would not be called to step in to have an emergency hearing. If LE heard those words and just gave CY back to JY, then they were playing a deadly game with CY's life. Many times they gave public statements that they felt CY had witnessed MY's murder, putting CY in danger, imo. They even called her The Silent Witness, something I just heard about, that was featured on Dateline.
So, out of all the reasons I question the 911 call and its contents, would be the decision to hand CY back to JY without, what would seem, caring about her safety.
Whether they thought Jason would harm her not, they would be turning the child over to a murderer.

Your post is very misleading. When did LE give "many public statements" regarding CY witnessing the murder? I wasn't aware search warrants were considered a public statement. Also it was dateline producers who called CY a silent witness, not LE. This was the media's wording.

My daughter keeps the baby wipes in the bathroom and even the 2.5 year old knows how to get one if he needs it. He also knows how to turn on the tap to brush his teeth.

I think for trial 3, we really need to hear from a crime scene reenactment expert. I want to hear how they believe things occurred and an explanation of why the evidence appears as it does. There are too many unanswered questions remaining.

This is just unbelievable. Did the defense make a huge deal about this during the trial?
