Should Jason have been curious enough to want to view the scene of the murder? Is that normal? Do families of murdered loved ones want to view the bloody scene because they're curious?
He didn't need to see it. IMO, he was the cause of it.

No way! I don't remember that. Wow.

Jason is being criticized because he wasn't curious enough to want to tour the bloody murder scene where his wife was found dead. I am merely asking if that is really a point that deserves criticism. From my perspective, that would be a horrifying experience. Anyone other than the person that discovered the murder should not be expected to be curious about viewing the bloody crime scene.
No mother of a 2-year-old would keep her purse on the kitchen floor unless she wanted a 2-year-old dig through it and find things such as pens to write on the walls. And, you're right, it could have been something CY played with.

Jason's priority was to comfort his daughter. It was late, he'd had a long day, his wife had been murdered, and anything the police needed could wait until the following day. Investigators knew this, but their priority was to confiscate the vehicles and contents, and pin Jason to a story. Investigators desperately wanted Jason's story so that they could focus on undermining that story. Their priority was not the child, and not the grieving husband. Jason was their suspect and they had no respect for anyone or anything. They wanted to force Jason to do what they wanted, and if he didn't do what they wanted, they intended to go to the media and make their complaints heard loud and clear.
Go back and read the genesis of that post. My point is as a father he had no desire to even see what his little girl had been exposed to. She was in the house for hours with her mother's dead body. Wouldn't you want to have a sense of that?

Wasn't that in the appeal document that was posted a few days ago?
He stated that he would be back for the game on Nov 4 if his father in law was attending ... he made this statement to Schaad before he left for his business trip. Michelle's father phoned after Jason left to say that he would not be attending the party. Therefore, Jason went ahead with his plans to pick up the dresser in Brevard for the new baby's room.

Who's purse??
That's another point --- Why mow the lawn that day if he knows he's about to commit a crime so heinous that he will never again want to step foot in the house? Surely he would know that he wouldn't be staying there again following the murder, so why bother cutting the grass at all? I think it's important to look at the actions of people not just after a crime but also before.

Well THIS mother does. As I said my children know better than to go in my purse!!!
Jason is presumed innocent. There is no reason for him to visit his wife's bloody murder scene. Police usually do everything they can to protect family members from being exposed to such horrific scenes. Furthermore, the child was two years old and it is unlikely that she remembers that night factually. I don't see any benefit for Jason to see what his daughter has forgotten.
What puzzles me is why he NEEDED her number written down.
Would it not be IN his phone contacts, already programmed?

I am really glad you pointed this out.....Once again it goes to plan or lack of planning, in this case.
If Jason expected MF to be the one to find MY , wouldn't he have at least made sure he had her phone number?
So, he waits until the very last minute to print the directions to his meeting, (the meeting that holds his entire reason for leaving town to begin with) and then he realizes he doesn't have MF"s phone number and writes it down at the same time?
Having MF's phone number was crucial to his plan, but he waits until last minute to realize he doesn't have a number to contact her at?
Really?????????
I never thought it made a difference if he arrived at his moms before or after Michelle was discovered. I just think he was taking his good old time, finding things to do until he got the call from Meredith. Too much of a coincidence...sending her over there.... He was waiting. He wanted as many people to see him as possible. And he was MORE than capable of getting all of that done because his adrenaline must have been pumping like crazy.
I initially thought it was too much of a coincidence too until I learned more about how he had told MF at least a week prior of his plans to buy her a purse added to the fact that he was in recent frequent contact with her as she acted as their mediator. Then to me it doesn't seem out of the ordinary. He was trying to win MF and LF over with this gift. I believe it was more about pleasing them than pleasing MY.
How soon after arriving back in Raleigh did JY get a lawyer? If I recall correctly they stopped briefly at Applebee's while his sister tried to contact her lawyer but they continued after she was unable to do so. That would seem to suggest that he did not yet have a lawyer when he arrived so I'm wondering if there was a delay before he had legal advice.
