Was presumed innocent. He's in prison serving a life sentence.

Jason may still be in prison, but his conviction has been overturned and he has been ordered a new trial. If this goes through, he will soon be joining Brad Cooper in jail in Raleigh, and there may be a bail hearing. Stay tuned.

The big bad LE. Were they supposed to hug him and tell them how sorry they were? He wouldn't even talk to them on the phone. Common sense tells you he avoided them at all cost. IMO.

They were pissed at him because he did not do their bidding and they decided they were going to take him down whether he did it or not.

You would think people would know that by now.

Still not my point.
This is his SIL, closest relative in terms of geography, babysitter, part time counselor....WHY is her number not in his phone?!?
Planned murder or not, her number should be in his phone, IMO.
I have everyones number and contact info in my phone, even people I have not talked to in a long time. Someone he likely talked to often would seem like it should be stored.
I know it is not really important to the case but it seems odd to me.
And I know I am being a PITA about it, just not gotten a clear answer for it yet :dunno:

I don't know the answer or if it came in at trial.
Maybe MF had a new cell phone or number, maybe Jason did, maybe they talked on the Young home phone, maybe MF was over there a lot .All we know is that he wrote down her phone number on his directions to his meeting, and that he called her on Nov. 2nd....the night he left and then of course the next day.
Why didn't he program her number into his cell after he called her from Cracker Barrel, I don't know.
It certainly would not look suspicious if he had his sister-in laws phone number, but, it looks less suspicious
that he didn't have it programmed in, imo, if she was to be part of the critical plan to find MY and rescue CY.

You would think people would know that by now.

It's not going to be easy, having all these retrials in NC, If they made a plea deal to Raven Abaroa when the jury came back with an 11-1 Guilty, maybe something along the same lines will be offered to JY and BC.

wasn't that in the appeal document that was posted a few days ago?

He stated that he would be back for the game on nov 4 if his father in law was attending ... He made this statement to schaad before he left for his business trip. Michelle's father phoned after jason left to say that he would not be attending the party. Therefore, jason went ahead with his plans to pick up the dresser in brevard for the new baby's room.

Wow!!! I never read this before! Thank you..

Should Jason have been curious enough to want to view the scene of the murder? Is that normal? Do families of murdered loved ones want to view the bloody scene because they're curious?

I have asked many husbands (friends) if they would have gone to the house. Every single one said h*ll yes!!

My own husband has said over and over "I can't believe he didn't go over there."

Are you're referring to a time when Michelle and Jason were not married and Michelle was pregnant? It seems to me that under those circumstances, all options are discussed ... or at least they certainly should be. If abortion was discussed, it's neither here nor there because Jason and Michelle decided to not only go forward with the pregnancy, but they also decided to get married - which was not necessary. Clearly they were committed to each other and to starting a family ... so who cares what sort of rumor someone is spreading about the time when they were not married and discussed whether they were ready to start a family.

Yeah they were comitted all right....is that why Michelle found panties in the condo? not hers of course!!

If Michelle had not been pregnant, IMO JY would NEVER had married her.

He didn't need to see it. IMO, he was the cause of it.

so true......he knew the bloodbath he left his daughter privy to. Oh, the daughter he cared so much about.

Jason is presumed innocent. There is no reason for him to visit his wife's bloody murder scene. Police usually do everything they can to protect family members from being exposed to such horrific scenes. Furthermore, the child was two years old and it is unlikely that she remembers that night factually. I don't see any benefit for Jason to see what his daughter has forgotten.

Forgotten??? Otto are you serious. This poor child internalized everything she was exposed to that night and morning. Thank God she has the Fishe's who will help her ( ie: therapy)as she grows up!! This poor, poor little girl who wanted a wiashcloth and bandaids for her Mommy's booboos.

Well THIS mother does. As I said my children know better than to go in my purse!!!

CY was only 2.5 and I also don't think MY would leave her purse on the floor, no matter how clean the floor was....Purses, pocketbooks don't go on a floor, especially if there is no carpet..not when there was a shelf or counter or even a chair or stool right there. It almost looks like the purse was put there in plain view, like look "no robbery"......

Have you seen the other photos from the crime scene where things have been re-arranged.......clothes in the laundry basket, remote controls, things in and near MY's closet upstairs on the floor and on the doorknob.....there are photos of things being moved, who did that?

And, if they did that, then MY's purse could have been moved as well!!!!!

Yes, his priority was his daughter.....he left her alone for hours with her Mother's dead body........

Strange how a child who was given enough drugs to sleep 9 hours did not pee the bed.

I have asked every attorney I know and every one of them said for him to listen to what his attorney said.

When this accident was first discussed, the rumor was that Jason deliberately caused Michelle to unfasten her seatbelt and then asked her to get something from the back seat. Then he went around the curve in the road, deliberately miscalculated the curve, carefully over corrected, and masterfully steered the vehicle down an embankment into the river. The rumor was that he did this to terminate the pregnancy. The fact is that Michelle and Jason then got pregnant again ... a few months later. It doesn't add up that Jason wanted to terminate a pregnancy and then immediately participate in another pregnancy.

According to the officer that attended the scene, the rumor is a rumor, and is not based in fact. It was an accident at a location in the road where there had been many accidents in the past.

Thanks Otto. I thought Michelle spoke to a friend about this? I understand what you are saying here, but I have to tell you that it was not the first time a man participate in getting his wife pregnant without wanting to. Didn't Michelle Young tell a friend or her mother that he didn't want another baby? There were issues around babies in this marriage as I remember.

Also, I am not sure LE would be immediately be suspicious of a husband if he was on a business trip, it would have taken them at least a few hours to put together JY's lies before they made that leap. MO

IMO, it is unfortunate she will have to live with them. That is, unless they keep their mouths shut.

Mike Peterson will have another trial in 2014.

Another witness testified JY pressured MY to abort. She refused. Same daughter he later handed over to avoid a depo & psych eval.

This is what I remember.

so true......he knew the bloodbath he left his daughter privy to. Oh, the daughter he cared so much about.

He did not leave her in a bloodbath.

And every single person on the stand, including the Fisher's, testified to how much he cared about his daughter. Please review the trial.

It sounds like you know some people that have the stomach to view a bloody crime scene. Not everyone does. Investigators typically prevent family members from viewing a bloody crime scene where a loved one was murdered.
