He could have just held it in his hand, placed it in blood and then made a print on the pillow case it sheets. He wouldn't have to actually be wearing the size 10 shoes.

Hey Minor.:)

Yes, but this is where the theories and facts contradict themselves yet again. It was supposed to be a strangulation, no blood.......so, why would he bring another pair of shoes
to leave behind smaller footprints, when there wasn't supposed to be a messy crime scene? Sometimes it sounds like he was carrying this little murder bag with everything he would need if something went wrong.

So in fact she saw the hose dripping. Why would she want to emphasize hearing it when she saw it?

No. She didn't see it. She heard it. She did see the gate was open and she closed it.

The people entrance to the garage is maybe 10-12 feet from the leaking hose. Why would Meredith even mention that she heard it? If she went to the rear garage door, and her eyes were open, she would see it.

Seeing something means it is seen and heard. Hearing something suggests that it wasn't seen.

I'm still wondering if the claim about "hearing" the water is supposed to support the theory that the perp spent some time with the hose.

Hey Otto, not trying to be too nitpicky, but isn't the faucet in the spot pointed out here-

You can see that the seal was not tight at the actual attach point there either, there is water marking on the brick.
(I think the hose goes into the bushes where you marked it, but doubles back to the faucet spot I marked.)

Why would he have a pair of shoes that didn't fit him?

< respectfully snipped>

MF says she never looked to see if it was a hose, she only heard the water...
And, she said the back yard gate was open when she got there.

Detective Galloway said the side yard gate was open. Are you sure MF said the back gate was open?

It was day and she spoke to Jason in the driveway. I believe he was with Carolyn S.

Thank you. MY was in NY. JY left the door unlocked. No big deal. It just doesn't support MY's leaving the door unlocked on that fateful night.

She was walking towards the garage door at the back of the house and, 10 feet in front of her, the hose was dripping. She heard the hose, but didn't see it.

But, she was not in the house when she heard it.. !!!!!
It was when she was approaching the house, trying the doors, etc.
Please listen to the testimony I posted, I specifically made an effort to find it, timestamp it and not just say it.....

I wonder if there has ever been a trial or trials where there has been so much controversy. I almost wish for the Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias threads when everyone was on the same side!

Alrighty then.
I could swear someone said here that she was in the kitchen when she heard the sound. That makes a difference.
For what it is worth, I also can "hear" the water being on if I am near the house outside, but it does not sound like "dribbling".
It's been raining all week but maybe tomorrow I will test out the hose with a sprayer nozzle and see if I can hear anything like she describes.

As too your second question, have you been on the Amanda Knox thread?
Or were you around for Zimmerman?
More than a few cases here with downright knockdown, drag out arguments. This right here is 6th grade debate class compared to those

That being said, there was zero doubt when it came to Arias.
I watched CA but I was not on WS for it so I could not say.

She says she heard the water but she didn't know if it was coming from a hose and she didn't look!

We found out later on they were all headed back to Raleigh, but I didn't know how the plans were made to go to Meredith's.....or that Jason had actually spoken with Meredith on the phone. I thought I knew this case pretty good, but now I am remembering the Casey Anthony trial was going on at the same time as this first trial, so I did miss a lot..

PY testified that MF told him it was a homicide case over the phone because she heard him shout "Homicide????".

Good thoughts. That would make sense since Shelly felt like they were being watched.

Of course he had been there before. It was his home. MOO.

If we're to believe it was locked when JY got there and then he got in with a key, do you think he would intentionally leave it unlocked knowing CY was in there alone?

This and Brad Cooper are the toughest cases I have followed, insult wise, lol.
Every other one was a walk in the park because I was on the "right side", I guess.
You wouldn't believe some of the stuff some of us have went through, everything
from having an agenda to knowing the family, etc.
With all due respect, other than pics and videos from the trial, I wouldn't know the Youngs
or Coopers if I tripped over them.

And, I am glad we were able to settle the hose debate........

How come this never came out before? It was always stated that JY never had questions , never asked what happened, never asked if CY was okay. But, its right there in MF's testimony, that is not true.
Why are things held back when they go in JY's favor?

It was loud and clear in the testimony. However, it goes against the prosecutions mantra that JY never talked to anyone and didn't even ask the cause of death.

Yea he has a little murder bag with extra shoes & scotch tape......

No doubt about it. He had to leave an unlocked door somewhere. No signs of forced entry remember? He left his daughter alone after killing her mother! How dedicated can he be? He had no problem wrenching her mother from her, IMO.

Sorry, quotes messed up.

Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing. As you drive up in the driveway, there is a gate to the backyard directly at the end of the drive.

And as you are looking at the house, to the left, there is fence and another gate. That gate was found to be open.
