Jay Ott - found drowned in Brooklyn 2014, still a mystery

I became fascinated with this case when I lived in Brooklyn. I can't find anything on the internet saying that the investigation is ongoing or there have been any developments. Does anyone have any intel?

As reported, the NYPD said that surveillance footage showed that Ott was last spotted at 9:50 p.m. on March 22 in his apartment building — The McKibbin Lofts at 248 McKibbin Street. Beatrice Kim, who works at The Dock Group, had said there was additional footage that spotted him twice before dawn on March 23. A video camera filmed Ott leaving his building at 4:35 a.m., and another camera outside of a bodega about a mile away northwest of McKibbin Lofts filmed Ott walking by around 4:51 a.m., heading toward Manhattan.

Yes, but have there been any theories at all about what actually happened to him? Did he commit suicide by drowning himself? Did someone kill him? Any leads or thoughts whatsoever? What does his family think?

Foul play was not suspected. Alcohol, suicide, and medical reasons are frequent contributors in adult drownings. Among those who wind up drowning in the East River after having last been seen following sundown on the day they entered the water, I would guess those seem likely.
