Also I’m surprised the parents of a missing child can just ask to not be identified and the police will respect it?

I think the LE would be unlikely to antagonize a mother of a missing child at such a tender time, but I am sure they are noticing her words and actions.

not the most articulate or grammatically correct of notes. Emphasis on We love Jayden as it is stated twice. I can certainly see the mother not wanting to appear on camera. It wouldn't be my decision, I would be screaming from the rooftops, but maybe she is camera shy or just a plain a nervous wreck.

But not wanting her name published? That strikes me as a bit odd. JMO. Not casting shade. Just puzzled.

ETA re the BBM who is we? We his family, We me and his siblings, We his father and I, We my boyfriend and I . . .? Curious about the other half of the we and if that person also wishes not to be identified.

I am not a fan of the very dark circles under Jayden's eyes. The little mouse has something going on......it's haunting me. IMO

I agree. Not to be negative, but he doesn't look well rested, or healthy. Maybe he is ill in this picture though.

I agree with everything you've said. I'm wondering the same thing, and, if today was his first day of school why would she wait to wake him? I personally can't imagine not checking on my children for that many hours.

I guess it would depend on if he was a naturally early riser. Some of my kids loved to sleep in others popped up with the sun. But when my kids had to go back from summer break the next day, I made sure they were up early to prepare to get back into a school year sleep schedule. I would begin one week prior, waking children at the time I would need them to wake for school, just to let their body clocks get reaccustomed to school morning routine. I just find the timing of his disappearance troubling. Makes me wonder if anything else was going on in his life.

Unless he has undisclosed special needs I can totally see not seeing your 10 year old kiddo past 9:30 if that is when he went to bed. But the rest of it just feels very - unusual to me.

She has an advocate, The Aware Foundation, but she's not communicating well with them. Maybe she's in shock. Idk

The first day of school for Breathitt County is today, Thursday August 7th. Jayden disappeared late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning - a day prior to the school starting.

Oh I don't have a good feeling about this one. This poor little guy. I really pray he got up and wandered off for some reason and he will be found before the sun sets today. My gut is telling me he's already gone and I have a feeling he was gone before he was reported missing. IMO

If he decided to run away, wouldn't he throw on some sweat pants and a hoodie or something, instead of kiddie pjs?

But apparently his pjs were not found at home? If he did actually leave his home in the middle of the night in his pajamas, that is very concerning. What was so urgent?

It niggles at me and makes it hard to believe, imo.

The only reason I can think is if he has a history of wandering and possibly is on the spectrum, but typically in that case it's mentioned in the missing report. We haven't heard anything like this so far and we are 36 hours in. We haven't heard much of anything, which I also think it odd. IMO

Interesting. My son used to sleepwalk when he was about 8 or 9. He would walk right into the living room at night, walk by me and hubby, like he was awake, but he was dead asleep, eyes open, wandering around. It was spooky.

We'd lead him back to bed and tuck him in. But it did worry me. He stopped after a year or two.

I parented a sleep walker and I still do not see this as possible. IMO. She was 3 when she started and will still do wild things in her sleep. Even walk. it is more rare now . She is 11 .
My exp was that ,she would be asleep but walking but more in a nodded out way. She would get stuck in a place sometimes like on a wall or furniture, and she talked . I could tell her to go back to bed and she would go.. it was wild. It was never quite. She ran into stuff. She would sit straight up in her sleep and ask a question then fall right out. No known issues at all. Perfect little kid.
