Jim Lichtenstein - Movie Deal?

I suspect that while Cindy "appears" an obvious choice for future deals.....you have to ask yourself......after all their antics and eratic interviews.....would they really be that marketable?

I mean honestly...by the time the trial ends don't you think the public will be OVER them???

My bet is on the grooming a certain defense attorney for his additional 15 minutes of fame. By staying very very close he can coach him to behave in a manner that will ensure that HIS story is highly marketable immediately following trial. I mean he will have to make the talk show rounds and isn't that what Jim does BEST?????

Movie and book??? WHat better way to entice investors than by showing the huge public interest right after the case.

We've heard from all the others. JB is the one I'm betting on. Oh.... and his little friends too. I'm sure he'll make sure they get to tag along.

Does this mean client/attorney confidentiality ends when the trial is over?
After all, wouldn't JB's story be mostly Casey's story?

this is certainly the most intriguing thread I've read in a long time.....so many things to contemplate here...

This is all extremely interesting! Thank you for sharing your research with us Kentjbkent!
Very revealing info about the visitors Inmate Anthony had on July 6, 2009 along with Atty Lyon!!
We can clearly see the connection now between Defense attorney(s), the Inmate, and MEDIA/Harper Collins Publishers, NBC, and a strong possibility of a connection with Soderbergh in the future, in the U.S..

Is there a direct link between Lichtenstein and Soderbergh?

What was Lichtenstein's role in the Erin Brockovich story/movie?

TIA

Baez is free to tell a story from HIS perspective. Regarding privilege.....you'd have to ask one of the verified attorneys.

I'm going to get slaughtered but IF we hadn't followed this case from the beginning until now I think we would watch a movie about it. We wouldn't know what the Anthonys are really like or that much about Casey.

Here would be a little girl that was found in the woods....her mother has been accused of the murder. Then you have the grandparents who have lost their granddaughter and whose daughter stands accused of the murder. It would cover the emotions that they go through and get to the place where they don't believe their daughter is guilty. It would be easy to bring her attorney into the picture. Would they portray Baez as he really is? This is a unique case with the grandparents placed in a difficult position between their granddaughter and daughter. If George and Cindy aren't shown for the way they really are but instead of just grandparents that love their granddaughter and daughter I think a movie would work. But for the movie to be true they would have to tell the way it really is.

That Jim isn't attending the hearings just to sit be Cindy. There is something going to happen down the line. If the story is written from someone elses perspective and someone just uses media info....the internet...newspapers...LE and places and things like that Jim wouldn't have to pay anyone anything. You can interview people and not pay them anything. It will just depend if they bought movie rights from George and Cindy I guess. OK, I've got my tough skin on...hit me!

Per JL's twitter - discovery will not be released until next week.

Where does Geraldo fit into all of this?

Backup plan?

GR has the inside line with JB and JL has the inside line with CA.

I am sure they are going to cover all bases when investing time and money in Anthony Futures. Everyone wants a piece of the action no matter how it breaks.

Is this all keeping GA in line and on-board as well?

Very interesting developments this evening....

Various media sources report this weekend that recent documents released to defense will be released to public in doc dump this week, possibly as early as Monday or Tuesday.

A few hours ago, Jim L posts that he was supposed to fly to Orlando this week for more discovery documents and video for Today Show but that release will not take place until next week.

Interestingly, Jim L does NOT tweet this through HIS twitter account, but instead it appears on the twitter account for Sarah Lundy of Orlando Sentinel

http://twitter.com/OSsarahlundy/news

TWO HOURS LATER, the Orlando Sentinel reports a Defense News Conference tomorrow morning at 9 am but will not reveal subject of conference.

Has defense ever given that much advance notice of a news conference? My memory is Baez usually gives a couple of hours notice?

Events related?

Who tipped Jim L off that the doc dump would be delayed until next week? He apparently felt confident enough originally that doc dump would be this week to make travel arrangements that have now been cancelled?

And why would he go to the expense to travel from Chicago to Orlando in order to only obtain documents? (should we tip him off on how to download them???)

What is coming down the pike

When all is said and done, KC settled into permanent digs, I won't be surprised to find GA kicked to a curb somewhere with a battered suitcase at his side.....

Agreed. There will be a lot of roadkill once this is over, as well as folks who thought they were on the payroll and get shut out. Who is playing who?

Oh I don't know about that Nums24! Baez is holding a press conference tomorrow, and usually he feels obliged to polka or something when a doc dump unfavorable to the defense is about to show up.

Please, please - :praying: I've been good, I've been very very good - could we have Cindy's deposition that we have all been waiting for?

Looks like the new death penalty, Oscar winning, attorney Finnell is looking for a new project to involve herself in... (wonder what contribution Lichtenstein is making to this project?)

"So basically McGuinness and Finnel are wanting staring roles in another movie, and this looked like an excellent opportunity to make that happen. So who is going to play JB? Carlos Mencia is comical enough for the role."

"DID I ACTUALLY HEAR BAEZ COMMENT (about new DP atty Fennel?)....
"....AND SHE IS THE ONLY ATTORNEY WHO HAS WON AN OSCAR???"
And yes, I am YELLING!
(onward on the money trail....) "

Yea, Kent, Baez DID say that about the other attorney being an acadamy award winner. Followed up with a comment on his cheesy/sleezy grin or something like that.
Mason quickly closed the presser after that.

Baez just can't help himself.

He did passionflower and from the small part of it that I watched, he seemed to be running the show at the bank of microphones.

They all want to make $$$$. None of them give a hoot about Caylee.
