Looks like the new death penalty, Oscar winning, attorney Finnell is looking for a new project to involve herself in... (wonder what contribution Lichtenstein is making to this project?)

"So basically McGuinness and Finnel are wanting staring roles in another movie, and this looked like an excellent opportunity to make that happen. So who is going to play JB? Carlos Mencia is comical enough for the role."

"DID I ACTUALLY HEAR BAEZ COMMENT (about new DP atty Fennel?)....
"....AND SHE IS THE ONLY ATTORNEY WHO HAS WON AN OSCAR???"
And yes, I am YELLING!
(onward on the money trail....) "

Interesting that the documentary "Murder on a Sunday Morning" was directed by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade.

Jean-Xavier de Lestrade also directed the documentary "Death on the Staircase" which was about the death of Kathleen Peterson. Michael Peterson was found guilty of her murder and sits in prison today - he received LWOP.

Important to add that the lawyers did not receive the Oscar, the director did.

Even more interesting, de Lestrade has also worked with film editor Adam Lichtenstein....

Wonder if Adam Lichtenstein is related to Jim Lichtenstein? :waitasec:

Interesting article (although lengthy) for those interested in learning more about Jim Litchenstein and his various side businesses....(fyi...he has since sold this particular business)

Certainly there are questions of rights and ownership. Examples of video and signal theft persist today. Jim Lichtenstein, CEO and founder of Internet website AssignmentEditor.com, learned that lesson the hard way last June. Along with other services, AssignmentEditor.com acted as an agent of sorts for freelance photographers by helping to distribute and negotiate fees for stringer video. On June 10, 2001, registered website users got to preview exclusive video: a speedboat chase featuring a group of Cuban refugees desperately racing to reach U.S. soil before immigration officials could stop them. About 12 stations found the video so compelling that they took the footage off AssignmentEditor.com’s satellite feeds. Nine of those stations made no effort to pay for the footage. That led to this red-letter June 13 warning on Lichtenstein’s and other websites:

We have found nine stations that aired the "Cubans Race to Freedom" video without purchasing the license to do so. If those stations (and you know who you are) do not purchase the rights TODAY. We will post their call letters on our front page MONDAY. Then thousands of your peers and bosses in NY will know what you’ve done.

"I guess they thought that we wouldn’t find out," said Lichtenstein. "But we’re able to track the use of tape in the top 75 markets through video monitoring services."

I suspect that while Cindy "appears" an obvious choice for future deals.....you have to ask yourself......after all their antics and eratic interviews.....would they really be that marketable?

I mean honestly...by the time the trial ends don't you think the public will be OVER them???

My bet is on the grooming a certain defense attorney for his additional 15 minutes of fame. By staying very very close he can coach him to behave in a manner that will ensure that HIS story is highly marketable immediately following trial. I mean he will have to make the talk show rounds and isn't that what Jim does BEST?????

Movie and book??? WHat better way to entice investors than by showing the huge public interest right after the case.

We've heard from all the others. JB is the one I'm betting on. Oh.... and his little friends too. I'm sure he'll make sure they get to tag along.

If you read the TV News blogs after the A's last visits to GMA (or wherever it was they showed up), the GP is long over them already! But someone must be watching the interviews to get them invited back. In all honesty I never watch and don't know anyone who doesn't tune into all things that might be Caylee - hoping for her to be mentioned.

He did passionflower and from the small part of it that I watched, he seemed to be running the show at the bank of microphones.

They all want to make $$$$. None of them give a hoot about Caylee.

I truly wish I were smart enough to write and market a book about Caylee's short little life - so all the profits could go to

1 - TES and

2 - children in need of "whatever" to recover from an abusive family situation, after someone made the decision not to look the other way!

Thanks for continuing to dig about JL. I've had that article saved in my bookmarks for awhile now. That's what led me to the opinion that he sits in every hearing with the Anthony's to "protect his investment." He knows what it's like to have a hot story stolen.

Think about this...

Some are speculating as to why Dorothy Sims would agree to join the defense team under very limited conditions on a pro bono basis. She is apparently an "expert" at cross examining medical doctors in regards to mental health issues (although I have yet to find any credentials apart from a "yahoo" from R Hornsby)...

But would it make sense to agree to this minimal participation (without compensation) if part of the deal was later compensation for contributing to a book deal where you discuss your opinion on how and why the State was wrong? How much would that be worth?

AS I read it, her expertise is in exposing fraudulent medical testimony in civil suits. Don't think it'll help her much in this case. Once again Baez hired someone who won't threaten his "king of the case" status. Not impressed.

THis episode FIRST AIRED 12/12/2008. Ummmmmmmm the day AFTER Caylee was found??????

Your posting came to mind this morning when I saw this article that truly touched my heart. It's a heartwarming story of a little 6 year old girl murdered on Thanksgiving a year ago in Florida and how her loving family has chosen to remember her.

By clicking on either of the links in the above article, it takes to you the site shown below dedicated to her memory.
