I'm surprised Gus is able to talk to the media about the case while the trial is still going on. Doesn't seem right to me.

Judge told him he would not be recalled and was free to talk to media. Great judge, huh?

Both sides had access to the phone records of Gus and Arias. There has to be a reason the DT didn't ask about this.

OMGosh, the number of motions they filed!! So many of them seemed totally frivolous. Many were before they even declared it a DP case, so no excuse there.
I really wish someone would compile a list of his motions to see them all in black and white. He tried everything known including getting fingerprints disallowed.

I'll try to compile the list you suggested. Have got the court records up, but it's a verrry long list! Interesting, and troubling. We know they even submitted a motion to get all of TA's "criminal" records. :furious:

OMG - Gus is on Greta and claims Jodi called him at 3 am on the 5th and told him Travis was dead...

Again? Thought there was quite a bit of discussion weeks ago about him either recalling the wrong date or totally fabricating this due to lack of phone records proving it? Also with all her attempts to cover up the fact she had ever gone to AZ, this is highly doubtful.

Just surprised he's still telling that same story.

I KNOW! (Monica from Friends again). He's very smart, handsome and FAIR. So refreshing to see a defense attorney not afraid to speak the truth. I get bummed out when I don't see him on HLN - he makes those awful commercials bearable.

Will Arias be surprised to get the DP? I still think she thinks she has everyone fooled.

It would not surprise me at all if it is true! Walmart can confirm the gas can was not returned and Tesoro could confirm there was nothing open at that SLC station in the early morning hour JA was there except gas pumps.

When it gets complicated is when the jury gets the instructions, because I know when I served on a couple of juries we spent a lot of time arguing over what the instructions meant. The instructions said something like( not verbatim) if you don't believe any part of the testimony then you must disregard all the testimony.

There are crime scene photos I saw on the HLN website that I did not see at the trial such as knives in the kitchen, open dishwasher, scene processing, etc.

So that's what the photo of the knives that NG showed was all about. Next time her program is repeated on HLN I will pay closer attention at the end.

Bombshell! The State Vs Jodi Arias FB page has photos of the 2 motions (Walmart & Tesoro related). It says JM turned over an email from Tesoro stating that after a records check, all 3 purchasers were for gas! Also execs from both companies were added to the witness list. So I assume DT wants to exclude these because it just came it but can't JM argue that she just lied about these things? Do any lawyers know?

It's evidence to rebut the defendant's testimony that she returned the gas can and didn't purchase gasoline for three gas cans in SLT, UTAH.

I'm sure when the state heard the defendant claim she returned the gas can, they inquired of Wal-Mart and Tesoro for business records.

It's the defense attorneys job to try and get evidence thrown out, otherwise the defendant could claim ineffective assistance of counsel.

BTW, I'm not an attorney but I am a chemist.

O/T -- Ethel, er, Vivian Vance -- I have a crush on him, too. He is just the cutest thing -- always with that cute smile that helps me calm down, especially after I heard JA go out there with one more of her crazies... He has quite a good resume, and I think he is smart and that his replies & opinions are definitely his own when he speaks on IS or HLN.
