There are about 3 different ways to circumstantially prove that she had to have had 3 cans of gas -- it can also be proved that she lied about getting gas in Desert Center and Buckeye, and there is no way for her to explain where she used the extra cans before SLC.

However, it is convoluted and technical and hopefully the Tesoro rep will make it very easy to understand when he testifies that Jodi made 3 gas purchases that could not have fit in her tank and 2 extra cans.

Even if that somehow gets messed up - it's pretty easy to prove that she did not get gas in Buckeye and Desert Center, like she testified.

Part of that circumstantial evidence will be the testimony from the Walmart rep. Computer evidence for "no proof of return" regarding the 3rd can will augment the 3 gas purchases at Tesoro. It will become very difficult to explain away these combined pieces of evidence.

You need to have an incompetent Walmart clerk, her driving on fumes when arriving at Tesoro, gas cans rated at 5 gallons that can hold 6.1 gallons, and another backpedal regarding her statement that she didn't fill her cans to the brim. That's pushing it to say the least.

Of course, this all must be testified to in court.

Ok, I did the math again. Assuming that she had at least one gallon of gas left over at the station in Utah, she would have had 12.3 gallons after maxing out the rental car's tank capacity. That would leave 4 gallons per three 5 gallon gas cans (consistent with her claim that she didn't fill them to the brim because of the heat).

A way to really nail her down is the answer to this question -- could one of her 5 gallon tanks hold 6 gallons of gas?

If the Tesoro rep shows that all three purchases were gasoline, it will be obvious that there was a third gas can. The purchases were for 10.7 gallons, 9.5 gallons, and the third would have been for 5 gallons -- it's obvious that the 10.7 gallons was to fill up her car, 9.5 to fill up the two cans and 5 to fill up the third can (for which she tried to hide the purchase and receipt). Even if all of that gas could conceivably fit in her car and the two cans that should not have been empty -- common sense says there was a 3rd can.

One of the eeriest, creepiest things have I heard JA say was...(With her sweet little smile and quick perky head tilt)
Travis! hey, guess what? I'm coming to Arizona!
I figured, oh what the heck, it wasn't too far out of my way.

Maniacal monster!

Can't get that one out of my head..

Not sure - the other evidence photos show knives in Travis' house including 2 in the dishwasher that appear to be put through the wash cycle.

And the last photo appears out of place like it was used to cut cardboard or rope?
If that last shot had fibers from a rope or anything else on it, it would be in the reports. Plus, this looks like a steak knife to me. Nothing strong enough to almost behead Travis.

And who's hair is this?

It's short and curly?

Pubic hair??

maybe leg hair. This is a pic of the shower after travis was removed. I think he had some hair on his legs in the autopsy pics. I can't bare to look again but if you want check those pics out of his legs.

Re: TA's camera and camera bag on the day of the murder ...

Has there been any statement by TA's roommate, Zachary, as to if/when he spotted TA's camera bag in the upstairs area outside of TA's master bedroom and just next to a lovesac? TIA

* * *

6/4/08; ~11:30a Mesa AZ Per Det. Flores' report: TA's roommate Zachary left that house that morning to pick up his girlfriend, drop off his rental car and pick up his car from repair shop. He thought he left at 11:30a.

6/4/08; ~3p-~4p Mesa AZ Per Det. Flores' report: TA's roommate "Zachary returned home at about 1500 hours for about an hour before going back to Mandy's house at about 1600 hours."

Only from Arias - so..........no.

I still maintain that the tee shirt was made by Travis, to advertise his blog.

Travis Alexander's on the front

Being Better Blog on the back ~

The underware was iron on letters from the Dollar General. She staged this picture in july.

Another premediation charge  She even premeditated her alibi

Yep. She's screwed.

Ok, what is your peeps opinions on this?

There is a shaving brush in this photo but no razor.

My straight razor theory flows in again... :banghead:

I must say that the brush sure did stick out, I used to sit on the toilet lid and watch with amazement as my dearly loved and missed Dad would swirl the brush around in the cup and like an artist paint his face and then masterfully shave with that straight razor, moving his lips around and oh never mind. lol OK I do think that she used a knife to stab him but I have also thought that if he did have a straight razor that she used that to cut his throat. idk jmo

This looks like a knife that someone took a picture of for evidence. Travis stab wound would have to be from a knife with at least a 6 inch blade seems like someone was just taking a picture. the roomates have been in the house all week in and out. This knife wasn't just found laying around. It was most likely placed there by the tech trying to find similar knives that fit length and width of the wounds. There was no rope or cardboard. This is not the knife used to kill travis or cut any rope IMO

um, um, um...................to question the post, but not the poster of course .....

how does a knife appear from any other knife laid out by law enforcement in this photo as to being "out of place like it was used to cut cardboard or rope?" It's a knife, laid for a photo. How does that Jodi type jump to a knife laying on it's side was "out of place and used to cut cardboard or rope"? Where is that idea from......... oh........I get it! That idea is...........magical!?

It must be that this post is just joshing showing the absurdity of it all??

That is why I always thought gun first, too. Seems he would have had to be standing to get the heart wound. And using the gun last didn't make sense to me either.

That is why my theory now is she went at him with the knife in the shower. She got him a few places, including the hands. He stands up to push his way out, and that is when she plunges the knife through to the heart.

I think she shot him at the sink while he was leaning over, coughing. He didn't die fast enough from the knife wounds.

ETA - or she did plan on using the gun first, something just happened that made that plan not work. Shot at sink instead.

I always thought she did the shot hoping it might make police believe there were two attackers. Generally aren't most single assailant murders committed with a single weapon?

Yes, my dearly departed father used a bush, straight razor and a belt to sharpen it! - that's why I keep thinking of that.

A man with a razor brush = straight razor.

And yes of course, the "MySpace" photo of Travis displays him shaving with a "bic" but maybe he gradually got more comfortable to using a straight razor. :twocents:

I must say that the brush sure did stick out, I used to sit on the toilet lid and watch with amazement as my dearly loved and missed Dad would swirl the brush around in the cup and like an artist paint his face and then masterfully shave with that straight razor, moving his lips around and oh never mind. lol OK I do think that she used a knife to stab him but I have also thought that if he did have a straight razor that she used that to cut his throat. idk jmo

I honestly feel she thought he would be found that night or the next day when he was to leave with others for Cancun. I think she thought Mimi would find him that night to talk with him about leaving for Cancun the next day. It would have been horrendous for Mimi to have found his body when she was all alone. Maybe JA thought this was also a way to get back at Mimi.

Courts, he and Mimi were not planning to leave for Cancun until the day after he was *found*, not the day after he was *murdered*.

Who knows if Jodi knew that. I suspect she was snooping all his communications and probably knew what his plans were in great detail. But it could be she thought he was leaving the next day, as if I recall correctly, she asked him if she could stay at his house while he was gone.
