Okay, somewhere in the interview tapes with Flores, Jodi says something about a mistake--I thought she was referring to Mimi not wanting to marry Travis or something? and killing TA so it didn't happen, you can see Jodi visibly react to that question "did you get caught?" on the split screen when the tapes were played in court, very interesting.
I think Travis caught Jodi in her stalking schemes, taping without informing and blackmailing, hacking, possibly stealing..and what ever Jodi had in her bag of sociopath tricks. I'm sure she doctored a few things on cellphone if she could get a hold of it. Jodi has probably been gas-lighting people since she was a teen.

This might be nothing, or a simple error already discussed/dismissed here, but I noticed on the media/timeline thread that an ABC News reporter live blogging JM's opening statement quoted JM as saying TA was alive at 1:32 PM on June 4 because photos show TA and JA nude, having sex.

We haven't seen any photos of them having sex, and I don't recall seeing any timestamp earlier than 1:42:53.

Could this have any bearing on why the first 15 minutes of the opening statement haven't been available? One YouTube user who posted the rest of the opening statement wrote of legal problems with the excised part.

The defense made a motion in July, 2011, relating to the nude photographs. Is that why some are being held back?

Again, the reporter's notation may have been in error and there may be nothing amiss.

I wonder if you're on to something. Why isn't the first 15 minutes available anywhere? So strange! What do you know of "legal problems" encountered?

And it seems when exhibits were entered there might have been 2 other pictures assigned numbers and/or somehow referred to (not shower pix), which were not shown. But I might have imagined this. If Beth K. does Tricia's show again, this would be a great Q for her.

I remember hearing that comment too, at the time I thought, "I guess there are other pictures I haven't seen," and just assumed they weren't released due to the pornographic content. It could be that Juan what Juan meant was that the series of photos depicts a couple engaged in a sexual rendezvous?

Yes- and Travis knew alot of people. Had UFC parties (btw~ GSP vz Diaz tonight :rocker , roommates in and out, LDS functions etc... nothing out of the ordinary to have a white car in the driveway.

If you look through the evidence photos, the one outside Travis's house shows a white car inside the police tape. So if she backed in her white car after taking off the front plate, a casual observer neighbor may not have noticed anything out of place.

IIRC, when arrested Jodi had another rental car, and her mother asked about the 9mm and the police tracked the rental down and found it strapped to the engine.

Yes, that's right. But I wonder if there were any photos taken of what she had piled in the car, etc., or - when the gun was finally located, a photo of that.

I just want to see the photos, that's all. If they exist.

I don't believe she parked in front of Travis' house, and I'm increasingly doubtful about the times JA claims she arrived and left Travis' house.

My theory on the license plates is she took the front off and I'm not sure if she took the back off and when she replaced it, erroneously placed it upside down. Or if she put it upside down so as not to be detected on stationary video cameras placed around Mesa.

She rented a car, died her hair, had gas cans so no need to fuel up in Arizona, turned off her cell phone, used the Utah trip as her alibi.

When she was being questioned by Det Flores, she specifically said something to the effect, not exact quote, 'You can look at all the surveillance videos and you won't see my license plate anywhere or me in a car.'

That's why I think she did the license plates purposely.

I thought a lot about DB last night. Her telling him she was going to AZ. Borrowing the gas cans from him. I think she had to get rid of that DVD player she she stole from her grandparents and she gave it to Darryl's son maybe as a gift? Maybe that is why she had to go back to his house was so she could take the remote? She sure wouldn't want to be caught with the remote later on. Maybe she borrowed money from him also? I believe he knows way more than he testified to and wouldn't offer up anything on Jodi because he felt they were friends. Wonder if he can be recalled on rebuttal? I know the judge completely dismissed Gus Searcy but I don't believe DB was dismissed.

The knife first scenario must put TA in a standing position. The ME report confirms the wounds to the chest came from a knife thrust that was horizontal and slightly upward. Thrusting a knife downward into the chest is NOT consistent with autopsy report. It is therefore unlikely that JA launched her assault while TA was in a sitting position – unlike the case that she shot him first.

A much larger and more physically able TA standing toe to toe with a knife bearing JA is problematic.

On its face TA in the standing position could have overwhelmed JA based on a mutual “fight or flight” reaction – especially since her initial onslaught depleted the element of surprise. Most of the TA chest wounds were shallow. Only one thrust entered the thorax and managed to cut the superior vena cava. It would take minutes and minutes before this sort of wound would have an effect on TA’s ability to maneuver and fight back. All the back wounds were superficial and non-life threatening.

Finally I personally cannot entirely understand why JA – after having butchered him, after his near lifeless body has yielded some 4 liters of blood that spilled out on the bathroom and bedroom floor, after taking note of her bloody and wounded hands and her bloody clothes – would think:

“OH GOSH!!!! Here I brought this little gun with me!! What should I do now?
Hmmmm. . . .let’s see; I will take this gun out of my ?pocket, it and put a round into TA’s head. That sounds like a neat thing to do!! “

"After all I don't want a loaded gun that I carried all the way from Yreka to Mesa to go to waste!!!"


[NOTE- One explanation that I heard that sort of makes sense to me is that JA deliberately wanted to confuse the crime scene. She evidently thought to herself - if I use 2 different weapons in this murder it will appear that TA murder was a group effort. This appearance and deduction would further throw the "scent" away from JA. This theory was bolstered by one of JA initial questions to Flores 6/2008 via telephone. She asked "were multiple people involved in the crime?". The Ninja Story suggests her belief that police thought the murder was a community effort also adds credibility to JA motive in using 2 different weapons]

Just looking at that video where she is sleeping with her head on his lap while he is telling his story to his friends---just that alone shows her weirdness, imo.

I mean, when people are all awake and sitting up and talking to each other, it is weird she is laying down with her head on his lap. It is not like they were all snuggling and watching a movie. It just seemed awkward and odd, imo.

And I believe this is the way Jodi acted most of the time. Strange and odd. She was bored stiff because the conversation wasn't about her. He told her she didn't care about anyone but herself in one of his text messages. If she was the center of attention then everything was hunky doorie but if not then she was spaced out somewhere in la la land. That's why she complained Travis didn't give her enough attention. What she really meant he acted normal and talked with everyone not just Jodi and she hated that he did.

That is why every one of his friends could tell she was soulless with no warmth coming from her eyes. But in so many situations the one in the middle of the relationship is the last to see what everyone else has seen for a long time.

Travis did finally recognize how dangerous she was and tried hard to break it off with her. She was having none of it. She would show him what happens when he dared to stand up to her and she did show him. Imo, Travis was through with JA. He would have never contacted her again and that is why she knew she had to show up unannounced on June 4th to end it her way.

All the photos of her hoo ha I was not trying to look at.....but someone on the FB page posted it and I thought they had photoshopped it. It just looked VERY weird and not......right. There was some THING hanging out which I have no idea what it could be. It's super gross.

I thought the same at first but recently this case seemed to have gone 'viral' for a lack of a better word. People I know that don't keep up with criminal cases have started asking about it in the last three weeks or so. Of course they knew if anyone knew about it I would.

It really has been the case to knock CA out of the number one spot.

Even CA didn't have her own show created just for her as Arias has on HLN. That is a first I think and the reason for it is they are having great ratings by carrying this trial and anything about Jodi Arias and the victim Travis Alexander.

'After Dark' was the top rated show on cable news at 10pm. So millions are very interested in this case. I can understand. It is one of the most compelling and also chilling murder cases to come along in recent history. Also so many agree that Arias is a psychopath and its rare to see one testify.

This case is one of the saddest, senseless, and gruesome. Yet it has been fascinating to watch the defendant testify. And what I have enjoyed the most is seeing the best Prosecutor I've ever seen in action as he brings justice.

IMO

It really has gone global thanks to cable and Internet. Many of us here are from outside the US and are equally invested in the hope that Travis and his family get justice and that JA never gets out (at the minimum!)

SmoothOperator, I agree with you about Jodi's sociopathy being on full display with Flores. When he eventually told her she wasn't acting like innocent people act, without missing a beat she morphed into an interested student seeking instruction. "Is it because I'm not crying?" Chilling.
