I think I am probably in the wrong thread, and apologize in advance, but I was just listening to the taped phone sex and to me it sounds like she used some type of audio software to splice together pieces of different conversations. I think this might be what Travis was talking about being scammed. she could have used something as simple as Audacity.

I do hope the techy geeks in the police department/attorneys office have searched for this in the recording.

I think that if she had an accomplice during the crime, it would not have been jodi who would have done the dragging as per the photo...especially with her injured, cut finger. She may have contacted someone after the crime who then became an accessory after the fact and maybe helped hide the crime jmo

Playing devils' advocate here but...we don't know that's Jodi's foot! In fact, I don't know where or how Flores said it was female. A stripe slack with a zipper is worn by both male/female while skiing. Which would then tie in (if applicable) a ski mask. So......? I'm just sayin'.....

I don't think she had an accomplice either but I'm not positive about that. We simply don't know.

And to the why wouldn't she have ratted him/her out by now question; well....maybe this person (who the encrypted magazine note was intended for) is going to throw this trial somehow. Maybe he/she is going to taint the jury somehow? I mean, who knows?! They already had a laptop stolen from a States' witness, so.......?

I don't know.
Having another person would really help explain a lot.
1) Overpowering Travis
2) Where the car was parked (she was dropped off)
3) Disposing of the weapons/clothes etc
4) Look out for roomies returning home
5) the "we drove" comment
6) double purchases at Walmart (even though it still doesn't make sense)

Who knows where Jodi's loyalties start or stop. Maybe the person she's covering for (IF she's covering for anyone....) is promising her that they will throw the trial somehow? Maybe that's why she's so cocky and confident no jury will find her guilty? Maybe she knows something we don't.

Jodi dances to her own drummer so for us to think like Jodi or assume like Jodi is like my goldfish trying to figure out calculus.

It is very common for those individuals who have psychopathic tendencies to speak in 3rd person (#5 "we drove). Ted Bundy spoke totally in 3rd person. "They did this..."

She manipulated Travis to position him in the shower for a photo shoot so he was vulnerable to be attack. The greatest edge Jodi had was her plan and the "element of surprise".

Most likely she parked "down the street or around the corner" so the room mates didn't see the car. She testified she went in the door off the garage. Most likely she was not noticed and could be very quiet. She was devious and sneaky.

Her rage and mission gave her the adrenaline necessary to complete her goal to kill and torture Travis.

I think it was HER fantasy and he was just talking about it (in the phone call) to indulge her. In the email, he was ALSO talking about it in a way that makes me think it was HER fantasy and she can damn well get some other guy to do it.

This is how it reads to me. Sounded like she accidentally on purpose let TA find out about another guy she had at the very least been talking to in a sexual manner to try to make him jealous.

I'm watching day5 of the trial, where Juan is with the female blood spatter expert.
Arias is writing away furiously, suggesting she has views on what the expert is saying. The thing is, she is describing the spatter as it happened, so how can Arias have so much to write if she was in her fugue state?
]

I've heard it suggested that perhaps JA has been told to write stuff down (perhaps her feeeeelings) whenever she finds herself getting angry and emotional so that the jury doesn't see her raging.

Oh I'm sure she was alone. Very easy to overpower anyone, when they don't expect it.. Especially with two deadly weapons

Plus, if she had had an accomplice, she would have turned on him before the handcuffs clinked shut.

You're probably correct! But, who smoked the cigarette? Why two meals bought several minutes apart at In/Out Burger?
Why use the term to Juan on cross exam: 'we drove' when questioned about her time in southern California?

I don't want to spend too much time on this but I do find a lot of things suspicious especially her confident attitude about being acquitted and....the recent stolen laptop. Ya know?

I've been watching some of the early trial testimony. I'm convinced that this defense obviously does not care about Travis' death, they think this is a circus or a party and they also don't really care about their defendant. Oh my goodness. The number of times the two defense women have laughed when a witness was being difficult with JM. It's ridiculous.I'm surprised that the Judge has not admonished them. When was the last time we saw Detective Flores or JM laughing like that? This is a death penalty trial, not a freakin circus.

Add to this how giggly and giddy Willmott was when she interviewed Samuels.

They are so weird...the whole bunch of them!

I cannot wait to see the smirks being wiped off their faces as the verdict is read.

The white part isn't part of the actual photo. I wondered that too :) Then I realized, most of the photos that we see out of court, are 'photos' of the actual photos themselves. That white area is just something laying on top of the photo while being photographed.. make sense? LOL!

The same photo in the link below shows it without the white object

Someone posted yesterday that In and Out provides two receipts for a meal, one when it is ordered/paid for and a second when your order is ready.

I think in the car rental business, when the Rep makes a notation that the car smells like smoke, they mean cigarette smoke. Otherwise they'd specify; cigar smoke. Pipe smoke. Marijuana smoke. Firewood smoke. Barbecue smoke and so on. I think smoke is just that, cigarette smoke.

I would like to know if Ms Arias was charged extra for that plus the missing mats plus, the gas tank on empty. For a frugal person, returning a rental car with no gas is a costly expenditure most people avoid. They charge a LOT more than the going rate and that's the incentive to fill it before you return it.

I'm fairly sure that a sleuther pointed out that the rental car had a smoke smell when Arias first rented it. I remember seeing a contract displaying "Smoke Smell" with the miles out but no mileage in or driven.

That is my understanding as well.

She sure would have turned on them when it became clear to her that the ninja story wasn't going to fly. No way she would have changed this to self defense and admit she was there, let alone that she killed Travis. Had there been an accomplice, she would have turned on them like a rabid dog long ago.

Hello everyone! I have been MIA for a few days, somehow got a nasty virus on the laptop and had to remove everything and reinstall. Long weekend.

Anyway, I will never get caught up, you guys have been moving right along. Can anyone give me a quick synopsis of where we are headed today in court, if there will even be televised court etc. I know on the last day of Samuels that they were to handle the situation regarding the powerpoint slides but I did not recall if that was today or was last week while the jury was off.

Thanks for the updates in advance!

Kelly

I hope we get to Juan's cross of Samuels today. (Won't hold my breath though.)

Apparently one of the lawyers had a death in the family, so the hearing on Friday was postponed. The hearing is now at 10:15 Arizona time today with the trial resuming afterwards. AFAIK.

Looking at the photos in photobucket--the sequence seems to be at ;

5:27--Travis first sees Jodie with weapon
5:28--He is told to face the wall--where the first knife attack begins--or he just realizes he is going to die (head being down with hands on the wall.
5:29--He has slumped to the floor of the shower-she snaps that "Look on his face" and makes the stab to the heart?

From the way he is crunched at the base of the shower--there is just no way he could have gotten up with "ease" to come after her. No one sits at the base of a very small shower in their normal routine--this picture was taken at the "demand" of Jodie.

His getting up to come after Jodie (as she states) would ADD even more time to the supposed 62 seconds.

You didn't miss a thing! The hearing was postponed due to an attorney family emergency. They will resume today at 10:15 AZ time with the hearing, followed by a continuation of Samuels' testimony.

Here are the shower photos in order:

Her confident attitude is probably due to her sociopathic personality and having made her way through life by getting away with telling lies (at least until now). another possibility Is that it is a facade. It might be some combination of the two.

I don't think she has a card up her sleeve.
