Someone here said that JA has told police that her gun was in her purse on a bureau not far from the bathroom. I'd have to try to find which video that might be, but as far as I know that's probably true. But I have no link or anything, so it could be a mistake![]()
Yes, I have. They are tiny -- like fit in the palm of your hand/easily in your clutch bag, tiny. If I hadn't I wouldn't have said it here.
It's tiny . Not much bigger than my hand and I have small hands
I posted pic of mine next a pack of smokes ..it is small Linda is right

I guess I'm just not following you then. I think you're saying that females can't or don't commit the same kinds of crimes that males do. While I would agree that it's not as common for females to commit kidnapping, rape and murder -- I don't think Jodi is the typical perpetrator, so that makes this case a little different. In most female-on-male murders, you do not see the level of violence we see in this case -- I've never seen it. I think Jodi is a different kind of killer than we're used to, and I do think she is capable of the worst atrocities, including rape and holding Travis hostage.
Why did you put rape in scare quotes? Do you not believe they were rape?
Zuri...sorry to hear of your loss...![]()
I can't keep up with you all, so I thought here was as good a place as any, to place my musical homage to Juan Martinez and hopefully the new theme song for the Juanettes. I only wish it came with musical accompaniment, so you could get the entire affect! With my apologies to Marvin Hamlisch, may I present, inspired by the song "One" from the musical "A Chorus Line":
"Juan"
Juan singular sensation
Every little step he takes.
Juans thrilling objection!
Every move that he makes.
Juans smile and suddenly nobody else will do;
You know you'll never be lonely with you know who.
One moment in his presence
And you can forget the rest.
For the guy is second best
To none,
Son.
Ooooh! Sigh! Give him your attention.
Do...I...really have to mention?
He's the Juan?
You've seen Juan you've seen them all.
The Juan and only.
A fast Juan.
It takes Juan to know Juan.
This is excellent!
Do you think it would be inappropriate for the Juanettes to slip into court (dressed fully in Juanette fanclub garb) mid-JA testimony and break out into chorus line kicks and song? I think it would be a welcome distraction. Count me in!
We will have to agree to disagree then...lol...because there is no "probably" about it. ANY gun can kill a person and an able bodied guy can die from a gunshot wound from a .25 just as much as a rifle. I can bet that you are probably the only one on this forum that would like to take the chance of fighting someone off with a .25 caliber. But, that's totally okay with me. :floorlaugh:
If someone here said that, I never saw it. That would be BIG NEWS. She said her registration was in her purse when she was describing the ninja version.

[QUOTE=Karmady;8835996]No. It's actually quite true that absent the circumstances I mentioned it PROBABLY won't kill you. And that's why I said an able-bodied guy would try to disarm a smaller woman bearing such a weapon rather than allow himself to be taken "hostage."
In any case, I'm assuming travis didn't know the "muzzle velocity" of a .25 either. So he would have made his decision based on the appearance of the gun. Which probably looked like a small water pistol.
You are very kind to say so. Sometimes what I read here gets me so upset, I can't sleep. Actually some of the comments have brought me to tears. I was 25 when they brought my 20 year old brother into the ER where I was working as a John Doe. He had sustained a GSW to the head in an attempted robbery. He was a rising junior at Duke, very smart, never in trouble. There was nothing I could do to save him. I tried. I had to call my parents.. We sat through 2 murder trials and a trial in federal court. The a**holes that killed my brother were convicted. We have never been the same.
Murder has affected how I parent. I am afraid of loss all the time. I have 2 cop trained shepherds. I don't own a gun. I have inner rage that has never gone away but sits in a very small space deep inside. I advocate for victims big time on the highest level. What every poster needs to remember is that every victim was a person that somebody loved. Thank you...

What do you have in mind? Maybe she had threatened him in the past?
For me, the slashing tires and insane jealousy would have been enough for me to make a remark like that, although semi-jokingly. And it seems Travis did not take the threat to his safety real seriously either. But I'd like to hear what you think might have been said or done to Travis, beyond the tire slashing.
That's quite the opposite of what I'm saying -- which has nothing to do with the intentions or motivations of the female, but rather of the male response. That said, perhaps we can take it up on another occasion because I do believe the topic has worn its welcome on this thread and that focus has been lost. And I mean that sincerely, with the intention of trying to clarify my point and open-mindedly listening to yours maybe in the middle of a weekday afternoon sometime lol![]()
