Not the person you asked, obviously, but I could imagine that they're going to try and twist it to make it more credible that and how she snapped the night of the murder.
Poor Jodi, with no self-esteem and feeling like a doormat because Travis has been treating her wrong, raping her and cheating on her, and that night when he attacked her under the shower she snapped and the absolute overkill of her deed stems from all those months of abuse she had to suffer.
