Well, I think its pretty likely the defense wanted just the sex excerpts played because they could spin it as sexual coercion through domestic violence. The non-sex bits, imo, hurt her defense a lot more. No inference or suggestion of an abusive relationship.

What I don't get is why the defense still played the tape once they were told they had to play the whole tape? Unless for some reason they couldn't withdraw it?
