Was there a decision among posters as to why Travis's voice was so slurred?

He didn't sound slurred to me. He sounded like he was extremely tired. Some people just have that kind of voice that can sound really odd when they are tired.

I think so too! I think she taped it to blackmail him. She obviously wasn't his "exclusive". To him, she was nothing but " of the planet". Jodi even admits to her own "drama" on the phone call. I think she wanted to use this to threaten him with if he tried to not see her anymore.

Does anyone have a link of just the part of the sex tape about TA saying Jodi sounded like a twelve year old girl? I tried to listen today but her giggling pretty much made me sick and I couldn't hear much of what TA said. Someone posted that it was taken out of context. I figured as much. Thanks.

I would do it for you but had to mute the sound during some parts of the tape.. If someone else has the stomach to listen again would be greatly appreciate marking the spot;
I would also like to hear the part where Travis tells JA that she was the only one he did this with..?? no reporting on it and believe it's important IMO since TA was apparently only into sex with JA due to JA's obsession with him..

JA said that she got in an argument with Travis while driving, because she wanted to move back to Cali and he hit her. Then, she called her mom and asked for money to move.

I have never been in an abusive relationship. Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but would anyone in this situation, with an abusive partner in close proximity who has already hit you and hurt you, in multiple occasions, would anybody dare make a phone call right then and there? And not just any phone call, but a phone call where you talk about the exact same thing that made him hit you in the first place.

I hope the jury is paying attention.

Not only would you not call right then and there you would wait until the abuser was safely out of the general vicinity.

One lovely feature of many DV websites is a quick escape feature for that reason.

I dunno though. One of my personal regrets is never confiding in my mother (or any other family member) the level of abuse I was experiencing. My mother really was my best friend. They knew my ex had a temper and was prone to rages but not much more beyond that. There was too much shame and embarrassment involved. Other people's experiences may well be different though.

I found it a bit odd that today Jodi testified she wasn't close to her mother yet it was her she reached out to.
