I am really sorry if my post came off to you as me being snarky or rude about your post! After rereading, I can see how it may have come off a bit harsh and I apologize! One of my pet peeves is people putting down other poster's theories or ideas in a rude way, then I inadvertently did it!

He was a very active member of the Mormon church so in my understanding just sex alone (not even kinky or funky sex) is enough black mail to completely tarnish his image and status within the church.. If he had confessed even masturbation to his bishop it could of prevented him from taking the sacrament/communion, possibly losing his temple recommend for a time until he went through the repentance process.

I don't think she was going to blackmail him with that tape. I think if she went to his bishop with it he would not even listen to it. Might listen to JA call TA into his office and ask questions. For the same reasons some couples like to video their sexcapades I think that TA was just vain enought to want to listen to their sex talk. IMO, nothing wrong with that except he was presenting himself as a virgin (he would joke about it and his brother even talked about TA being a virgin on a documentary.) His friends were too nosey about his chastity status and his relationship with JA so he had to lie to them about seeing JA. MOO

Hugs back. Thank You. It was a huge Journey and learning curve. Best dang 42 years I ever shared with somebody. My sibs were much older so she was my sib. From age 6. It's all good. Now. It broke me for a bit. We get up dust off,move on,cuz we have too. Plus I know my dearest friend was kicking my azz from the Heaven's LOL So much why we can identify with Travis's Family. So many of us have lost those we love to crime or illness. We still share the pain of loss. No matter the circumstance.

My understanding was the call was also recorded on May 10 and that the beginning of the conversation was cut out (re: his privacy & trip to cancun)

I was thinking the same thing. Which brought me to this: We here have differing opinions and conclusions after listening to the same things the jury is hearing. I think the sex tape may not have been understood by all jury members. I think the jury's mind may be wandering as [/B]Nurmi and JA drone on. Could this also be a problem for the PA as the jury may be tired of all this by the time he crosses her?

What makes you think the jury's mind is wandering? Anything been said by an observer in the courtroom?

I think Jodi mentioned Esther on Trial Day 15. Like I said before, it was January or February, probably 2007, when they were becoming "official", Jodi found some older emails on Travis's myspace or computer that showed he was talking to two other girls in late Nov/Dec - I think one was an Esther, maybe the other was Lisa. Remember Jodi said the emails with one of those girls were more sexual? (the married one maybe?) Will I find that section if I listen again? Groan.
