Ditto, either a total blackout or a lot of "I do not recall".

no doubt there will be some "explanation" - he hit her - blacked out - or choked her until he was half passed out - NOTHING at all she can say is going to justify this. Just wondering what on earth more she can come up with.

Who is the girl who today has hair pulled to one side and the other girl with long hair and blonde highlight? Sister of Travis?

There is no WAY this chick would have been hired to shoot a wedding ... that are probably an example of the kinds of lie she told in general life. God I hate her. I love the expressions on the faces of Travis' sisters .. one looks like she wants to pound Jodi's head into a wall and the other one has this half smile on her face knowing that everything out of her life is sinking her deeper and deeper..
More fodder for the rebuttal or cross ...

Juan - "Ms. Arias, can you please name the weddings and locations in which you were the hired photographer ?"

JA - "Um ... um ..... well I practiced at a make believe ceremony with my brother and sister"

Juan - "Ms. Arias, is it true that most of your testimony is make believe ?"

JA - "I believe so as I'm in my own world"

Yes, "he was reactive when I made exertions of independence."

You don't talk like that? :waitasec:

Thank you for asking!

Well, last evening I was engaged in protracted verbal communication with my legal husband (with whom I am in a committed relationship), whereupon he inquired if I intended to experience a prolonged sleep experience anytime soon. I made an earnest assertion of independence, even an exertion of independence (waving my arms), communicating explicitly that he was not the boss of me. He reacted by positioning himself prone between the sheets of our bed, with the lights out.

Whereupon I engaged for another 20 minutes in reading electronic communications on my computing device, followed by a thorough personal bathing experience involving flowing mid-level temperature water. Eventually, I did experience a prolonged sleep experience, but it was on my own terms, even though he was present and nearby. I was NOT intimidated. I was successful in breaking the cycle of domination. My self esteem is now intact. (He is such a sweet bully sometimes, sigh.)

So, here's a question. Does JA have access to a library, the internet, where she can read up on domestic violence, etc.? Because she sounds like she's parroting soundbites.

She would have been provided with the DV manual by her lawyers years ago - probably the one written by their DV expert.

I am confused. I thought her Infiniti was repoed which is what she took the BMW that TA pawned on her which she hauled and blew up. She went back to TA's house and loaded the Infiniti on? What did she say was TA's reaction was? Where did she leave the Infiniti?

I saw that and when they first turned it on the brother in law was there and had his head down and looked like he was crying. The brother and brother in law left the room shortly. I wish they would turn it off. It's like spying on someone when they aren't expecting it.

I think Sam is about ready to as well....I'm thinking ja must still be in the room as well due to their stares

Lunch time! Croc pot chili yum!! BBL!

I'm making chili today too! :seeya: Anyone invited.... Besides Casey A of course! LOL!

Also edited because I forgot to add the "invite for lunch" as my brain is fried from listening to Jodi.

In all fairness, everyone is smirking. I personally am getting a kick at watching Sam give her the "I'm calling bullchit" face. I think the judge is being fair.

I really identify with Sam. I have a very expressive face and have always wondered how I would sit through something like this. I roll eyes and smirk when I dont mean too! I would be an easy read on a jury.

I also love how they present a united front right there in that court room. I really want them to see justice!

I'm positive she will say something to the effect of "It all happened so fast. It was a blur."

Good Afternoon...
I missed Sky but TY TY to those for posting it up!

Add.. "he called me a 3-whole wonder" then it happened all so fast...

Shaking >> possibly Anger? then JA follows up with "had enough, tired of being bullied"
pfft

They finally turned it off and put the seal back.

I'm going to go make myself a sandwich for lunch. It will be exactly 2 Tbsp of peanut butter, usually I use JIF Crunchy, although sometimes I use smooth, because I like that too, and then strawberry jelly, some of my family members like grape jelly but I prefer strawberry, the kind that's got lots of whole strawberries in it, I prefer Smuckers, and I use 7 grain bread, not 9 grain, that's too difficult to get, although sometimes they have it at Trader Joe's, the one out in Rockville, not the one in Silver Spring, and then I cut it in triangles, not rectangle halves because my mom always cut them in triangles, I've been eating this type of sandwich since April 3, 1977, when we first ran out of grape jelly and I decided I liked strawberry better, and then sometimes when my dad was home he'd make with honey instead of jelly . . . .

Jodi has lunch

Rented the car?

Nurmi keeps taking her back to October of 2007.

Yeah, that's one reason why his questioning is so frustrating. He keeps going back, forward, into the future...makes me want to tear my hair out strand by strand!

Is anyone posting from the courtroom?

Are TA's sisters daggering JA right now?

Oh no! The seal is back...

I totally agree. Ironically just last week I was lambasting that the relationship she was describing could be in no way even a resemblance of an abusive one.

This week she's using every buzzword possible to highlight the hallmarks of an abusive relationship. The only thing she has yet to say is she FEARED him. She, probably unknowingly, continues to undermine what is probably the ultimate response and reason of victims.

I'm sure she has access to reading materials in jail. There is an over-representation of (real) abuse victims incarcerated. Further who's to say a family member or friend couldn't print out website info and mail it to her.

She's hitting the notes of abuse but without any of the emotional depth, relationship red flags or character traits of either party to make it believable to at least some of us who have actually walked that path. (I don't presume to speak for everyone though so apologies if I unintentionally offend.)

Yeah...she's still got to do the rental car and the entire trip yet. I wouldn't even be surprised if with the way Nurmi is going at the pace of a snail, she's taking his questions into next week. He is the most boring attorney I have ever heard!

I think he is deliberately dragging this out because he doesn't want a five-day break with jurors thinking about the murder. He wants them to be numb with boring minutae so they don't think much about her at all.

I do believe Jodi was shaking. I think Travis told her she was one sick ***** and to leave him alone.
