In her ninja version she sustained a hit on the head in which she lost time and did not see all what happened to TA. I am sure there is going to be a hit on the head in which she loses something, time, consciousness, memory. There is no way she is going to admit being mentally capable of causing that many wounds, that much damage. This would mean that she knew she made him suffer, thus death penalty.

I totally agree. Ironically just last week I was lambasting that the relationship she was describing could be in no way even a resemblance of an abusive one.

This week she's using every buzzword possible to highlight the hallmarks of an abusive relationship.

I'm sure she has access to reading materials in jail. There is an over-representation of (real) abuse victims incarcerated. Further who's to say a family member or friend couldn't print out website info and mail it to her.

She's hitting the notes of abuse but without any of the emotional depth, relationship red flags or character traits of either party to make it believable to at least some of us who have actually walked that path. (I don't presume to speak for everyone though so apologies if I unintentionally offend.)

mitigations specialist possible???????

I am confused. I thought her Infiniti was repoed which is what she took the BMW that TA pawned on her which she hauled and blew up. She went back to TA's house and loaded the Infiniti on? What did she say was TA's reaction was? Where did she leave the Infiniti?

She never said anything except, he pawned off the BMW on her and she drove it to U-Haul and then trashed it because it wasn't taken out of first gear. Yet she said the U-Haul guy gave her the keys.

I can't take my keys out of my car in first gear.. just sayin'

Thank you for asking!

Well, last evening I was engaged in protracted verbal communication with my legal husband (with whom I am in a committed relationship), whereupon he inquired if I intended to experience a prolonged sleep experience anytime soon. I made an earnest assertion of independence, even an exertion of independence (waving my arms), communicating explicitly that he was not the boss of me. He reacted by positioning himself prone between the sheets of our bed, with the lights out.

Whereupon I engaged for another 20 minutes in reading electronic communications on my computing device, followed by a thorough personal bathing experience involving flowing mid-level temperature water. Eventually, I did experience a prolonged sleep experience, but it was on my own terms, even though he was present and nearby. I was NOT intimidated. I was successful in breaking the cycle of domination. My self esteem is now intact. (He is such a sweet bully sometimes, sigh.)

<end>
This post is the funniest thing I've read all day.

HAHAHA....

I wonder if she is going to fake hysterical sobbing or if some of her excitement at what she did will seep out when she finally testifies to that day.

I do believe Jodi was shaking. I think Travis told her she was one sick ***** and to leave him alone.

probably again told her to f off and we know what that does to ms. "innocent" (NOT)---- if you can use f fest you can take the other....he may have even offered to pay for her one way trip to Anartica

They are off from Friday and will be back on Tuesday. Am I right?

Unless you've read a lot of self-help DV and psych books. ;)

Exactly.

When talking about the spats between herself and Travis, she said that's how it would "cycle".

Can anyone say "coached"?

Now, THIS could be a drinking game: JA's DV code words... (Of course I mean no disrespect to true victims - JA is not one. And I take the matter very seriously).

Her testimony should be taken with all the solemnity, respect and trustworthiness it deserves - which is zero).

ETA: I actually have read about DV extensively - from books, websites, scholarly papers, you name it - and I don't talk like this (I may write about it more formally or when talking with a specific person). JA just seems to be using terms dishonestly and that makes me mad).

She's not fearful .. she drove across states to see him. What a load. Her credibility is already shot anyway ... this is just a train wreck now.

In all fairness, everyone is smirking. I personally am getting a kick at watching Sam give her the "I'm calling bullchit" face. I think the judge is being fair.

I think all sides are exasperated/frustrated at this point.
Shaking heads + bitter laughter all around with increasing frequency is my prediction.

She has already shown the jury she'll say anything to destroy his name ... she is shot to pieces.

Sam gets a free pass. Her brother was brutally I mean brutally butchered to death. And remember Jodi killed Travis in 2008. It's now Feb. 2013. Jodi has managed to drag this process out for YEARS!!!

All the siblings are tired of this and just want it to be over and for Travis to get the justice he deserves.

What I am saying is that the judge can't address one (JA mom) and not the other (sam) There are a lot of posts on this.

JA sounds as though she had her camera connected to her at all times.

So ... if there was all of this abuse inflicted on JA by TA [yeah fricken right /snark] ... why aren't we seeing photographic, date stamped images of bruises, scratches, cuts, strangle marks, etc ... along with verbal collaboration by others who were told, contemporaneously, by JA about the abuse????

I really identify with Sam. I have a very expressive face and have always wondered how I would sit through something like this. I roll eyes and smirk when I dont mean too! I would be an easy read on a jury.

I also love how they present a united front right there in that court room. I really want them to see justice!

Me too! I think my facial muscles are hypertrophied (aka JACKED!) because I have a very expressive face, I don't even realize it.. But many people are eager to point it out to me, and I have seen in video.. My sister in our Catholic elementary school was SCOLDED by a nun teacher for rolling her eyes but she had no idea she did it. Lol.. We just don't hide our feelings very well. Not even a whack with a ruler can cure it! :silenced:

If I were on the jury, I'd be wondering when Nurmi and Jodi were going to get to the point. This testimony is more of the same, just worded differently. Why rehash what she already testified to?

I havent watch the trial everyday, just listened some on HLN in car.

Who is the girl who today has hair pulled to one side and the other girl with long hair and blonde highlight? Sister of Travis?

Yes, those are Travis' sisters..
don't be surprised if miss thang sports a side pony and wear 'white' if they ever get to the 'murder' day of testilying!

  • #997
Yeah, that's one reason why his questioning is so frustrating. He keeps going back, forward, into the future...makes me want to tear my hair out strand by strand!

He reminds me of the lawyer from Chicago - he is going to 'Razzle Dazzle 'em' with the Jodi circus until they are so confused they have no choice but to acquit.

It's so bad it's laughable!

I look forward to (if we EVER get there) the Juror questions for JA. They should be interesting.

I'm not on the jury and I'm wondering that. :floorlaugh:
