I cannot believe how long they are dragging this out!

HINT TO JUDGE....Nurmi was just stalling some more and is trying to tell you how to run your court. Why dont you ask him where this is all heading and when will it stop and make him stay until 10 PM each day if he keeps this up.

I really think she likes being called the three hole wonder.

Nurmi certainly likes referring to her that way -- in public, at least.

Well that was just riveting testimony! I need a cigarette after all that.

I feel like screaming at my computer, "JODI, HE IS ALLOWED TO DISAGREE WITH YOU!"

He didn't know what to make of the email because she was basically trying to worm her way into his life "officially" by guilting him, martyring herself, et cetera, under the fake premise of wanting credit in his book.

OTG, I am at a loss for words......., but I'll recuperate..

darn just got back from my meeting and Court just ended.

Did I miss anything?? have we gotten any where near June 4th??

Something tells me we're going to be well into next week with no June 4th in sight until Thursday of next week!!!!!

Does anyone know... when they all approach the bench.. is Jodi or anyone else in the court room able to hear what they are saying and is whatever is discussed taken down by the court reporter or not? Just curious.

I heard that this judge uses a white noise machine at her desk to make sure that sidebar conversations can't be overheard by anyone in the courtroom. I don't know as far as whether it goes into the court record. I think that's at the judge's discretion but I don't know what she is doing in this case.

They won't get anywhere near the murder tomorrow. When, exactly, is the judge going to say enough is enough, Mr. Nurmi, move this along now.

Again, these jurors have lives they would like to get back to. What Nurmi is doing now is simply unfair to them and very well may have a negative effect in the long run. He should be careful.

Wow! She is so smart. She composes her e-mails.

I usually just type/write mine.

Yeah, I didn't realize that I'm actually a composer! :rocker:

Go to family court in your town and look for cases that have been going on for 5+ years - you'll find more of JA's ilk, the ones who haven't murdered yet.

YES. That is so true. There are many people out there like Jodi, they just haven't been in trouble with the law. Somehow they act in their own made for TV drama and avoid going over the line but create chaos and wreak havoc in people's lives as easily as they breathe.

Judge Perry would have. That man wasn't playing games with the juror's time/lives....turns out they didn't really deserve that respect from the judge but that's another story.

I am so angry. What Nurmi is doing is inexcusable. Yet another full day of testimony with maybe 20 minutes worth of valid, relevant information.

INAL so I'm making up my own 'rule' here - there SHOULD be a rule against a lawyer who, after the witness/defendant answers a question,
(hypothetical:

Lawyer asks: "What happened after you got to the house?"
Answer: "Well after we got to the house, I did a load of laundry and took the dog for a walk and noticed there was a message on my answering machine."
Lawyer should be FINED or put in time out if he THEN asks:
"So after you went to the house you did what?"
"Did you walk the dog?"
"Was laundry done?"
"Did you notice you had a message waiting?"

Nurmi re-asks EVERYTHING... it's just wrong. Especially considering how meaningless so much of this is - it is inexcusable (now JA is talking about cookie recipes and Napoleon and meeting someone who wasn't rude and knew Travis wasn't home, who went into Travis' office and Napoleon went TOO! Back to the cookie recipe high end recipe, dough refrigeration...)

Why are they using the term "interrogation" re Deanna? Oh right.

Back to the letter they've already gone over. This must be ticking the jury off, too. They have LIVES that Nurmi has completely dismissed for spending hours on very high-school type interactions that have NOTHING to do with self-defense or Travis being viciously killed.

Maybe Nurmi wants to lose. This is such an insult to everyone - including the defendant, the jury, the witnesses, the experts, the families, the citizens in the gallery, the state, the taxpayers...

Yet ANOTHER day of NOTHING.
(sorry - rant over).

Actually, ALL lawyers do this, and prosecutors do it as well. It's standard practice. It checks for witness credibility and also helps draw out memories as well. I remember a deposition I had where I was questioned for about 5 hours. After the deposition, I had to re read over the whole thing to make sure what I said was documented correctly. I realized that the lawyer had asked many questions about 3-5 times, without me even noticing! If I had been lying, I guess in theory I would have contradicted myself.

Let me guess, more sex was necessary to 're-heal' the relationship...

:woohoo:

You got it! All the arguing and fighting was just foreplay for Jodi.

I didn't want to end our friendship, just his life.

I find your Red Riding Hood picture hurtful .. I mean I thought we were officially dating and all.

:laughcry:
