I've been wanting to post this for days now but I know you all already talked about the duct tape and I don't want to bring up boring topics. However I just have to get this out there and put to rest for myself. :please:

Is it possible the duct tape on the floor in the laundry room was something Travis used on his arm because he had been working out pretty hard for his trip to Cancun? What I mean is it's evident he was wearing it on the bed, you see where it was on his arm in the shower, and on the laundry floor could mean that he took the tape off on his bed and it got transfered downstairs when the bedding was put into wash.

I've heard of some guy's using pressure bandages and things on muscles that have been injured or just over worked so if anyone is on the same track as me could you tell me? And I can move on from this? Or is there another reason? I just feel they are connected...

:seeya: Thanks
bumping this up! great sleuthing! I am sure we will be hearing about this tape today from Arias

Thank you for stating that about he mitigation specialist. Yesterday was the first day I was able to see her on TV, and I was really bothered, kinda shocked, by her behavior. What in the world????

I have noticed her behavior since JA took the stand.. Very unprofessional almost to the point of being disrespectful...

I would expect that a mitigation specialist on this type of case would have a little more respect for her position than this woman does..

Yet, I heard Nurmi burp yesterday while he was speaking to the judge, so what do I know :dunno:

Good morning all - and Happy Valentines Day <3 :seeya:

OK, I wanted to share this with you guys after I left yesterday, but had a hard time getting online.

I was reading twitter and BK had said that there is a female juror that sits close to JA when she is on the stand. She said that the woman has not been making eye contact or even looking in JA's direction when JA is answering the questions. BK said that she had been taking notes when JA first took the stand, but SINCE THE RECORDED CALLS, she hasnt made a single note or looked JA in the face....

I think that is a GREAT sign. I have no idea what the demographics of the jury is or even of the woman she is speaking of, but since the call, she's lost everything. The jury is seeing that she is lying and was a "willing participant" (her words) in the things they did. She liked it, she liked being the one who turned TA into freaky things (whether he was a virgin or not), she turned him to things he'd never experienced before. Her demure act is not sticking with the jury!!!!

I feel positive in this. And JM hasnt even pointed out her lies yet. :please:

The worst thing Nurmi could have done is play that sex tape first and then try to revert back to Jodi being a shy, controlled, little taken advantage of angel.

imo

ROFL! I must say... I wasn't appalled at Nurmi's behavior as much as I was her mitigation specialist. I dont know what she was laughing about but it seemed VERY unprofessional, especially after the entire court room was instructed just a day or so ago about reactions in the court room. She was sure giddy about something. I seen a post somewhere (I forget where) wondering if she got caught 'sexting' I tried to find a screen shot of her but I couldnt. A couple of days aga it was mentioned that her and Willmott were smirking and rolling their eyes. Very unprofessional!

I have the same response to her, that day and on many others--she smirks most times Juan's objections get overruled, grinned all the way through Gus's disrespectful turn on the stand, etc. Unprofessional and childish. And she's a state employee?

Agreed 100%

You guys see this from Dr, D?

SEARCY: OK. Well, when this all first, when -- well, here is basically this. I said help or hurt. Here is the hurt part. When the night Travis died, I got a call from Jodi at 3:30 a.m. in the morning, crying hysterically that Travis was dead. When this happened, I asked her what happened, how she was, where she was.

Wow!! I hadn't seen or heard this. If this is true....WHY didnt Gus call the police? Wouldnt this make him an accessory if he knew and did nothing?? Why wouldnt he testify about it? He would have been the first person with contact with Jodi after the murder. OMG! Gave me chills!

I know, and agree 100%. Maybe I'm just suffering from Casey Anthony verdict PTSD, but I learned from that case that juries can fly in the face of what seems like plain vanilla common sense and logic, and hang their hats on what they choose to see and believe instead.
I'm with you there!!

Exactly! I know the judge has a clear shot of her from the bench.. she HAD to have seen them. Why why why would she allow that? They kept looking over at JM and snickering/whispering with every objection. Isn't that influential to the jury?

Since I missed the first couple of weeks of the trial, I have to continually ask annoying questions, I'm sorry, but if someone has the time to answer...

I was wondering about the tire slashing incident(s). Was this brought up during the Prosecutor's direct, and how did the Defense cross that, if they did. And has Jodi herself said anything or been asked anything about that? Thanks!

BBM

I get what you're saying, but, IMO, none of that has anything to do with whether or not Jodi used reasonable force to "protect" herself.

But we all now like the jury understand where defense is going with this. As we all want to lunge at that %&*

I can't recall if it was brought up, but she surely will say she did not do it as there were no witnesses to it. And if memory serves, there may not even be a witness to her entering through the dog door, it was assumed she did, however he often left the front door unlocked. So she will want to clear that up, that she came invited, walked in through the front door as always (and his roommates said he had an open door policy for Jodi) and lo and behold he had a girlfriend there with him which shocked her and caused her great emotional distress that he would do such a horrible cruel thing like pretend to have her come over then be there with another woman to humiliate her... So thats why she ran out, not because she squeezed through the dog door.

Supposed to be, as was Nurmi's snide remark yesterday, "You don't have to say sorry to HIM!) It will backfire, like everything else, IMO. Mr. Martinez cannot have said more than 20 words through 6 (7? I've lost track) days of direct!

I know that some folks don't read way back in the threads, and I don't blame them as fast as they move! But GS would LOVE for all of us to believe that he means the early morning hours of June 5, 2008. What he really means is she called him when Travis was FOUND, in the early morning hours of June 11. He is obfuscating the truth in a way that is calculated to get him some attention. I am positive that the prosecution is aware of when this phone call took place, that is why they ignored his phone call to them.

Happy Valentines Day! I am very devastated this morning, A wonderful gentleman I have worked with many years was killed in a motorcycle accident on his way to work this morning! Very sad day at work! Prob will not be on here much today but will check in. Have a good day!

I am deeply sorry.

If I'm a juror, I'm struck by JA's obvious glee in egging on TA by always giving him what she believes will keep him on her string, especially in the one, single recorded phone call to which we were treated.

Giggling, she told Travis that she liked being debased and feeling "so dirty." So he debased her and called her names.

Looks to me like she got what she asked for in the relationship, until she realized it wouldn't last.

Then she took what would never be hers so it would never be anyone else's, either.

If Juan convinces the jury that JA is lying and making all of this up and imo he will ..then I think they will give her the death penalty. Richly deserved imo.

see all i have to do is see the autopsy and crime scene photos. Nothing can justify overkilling and murdering someone like that....brutal and heinous and premeditated.....she needs 23 hours in her cell a day and one hour recreation while waiting for her name to come up.

One of the talking heads mentioned this and I thought it would be a great strategy for cross.

JM: Why did you stab TA the 1st time?
JA: ______
JM: Why did you stab TA the 2nd time?
JA: ______
JM: Why did you stab TA the 3rd time?
JA: ______
JM: Why did you stab TA the 4th time?
JM: Why did you stab TA the 5th time?

on & on until she had to explain every single stab wound she inflicted on him- the throat slitting, the gunshot.. I think it would be very effective!

I respect Mr. Martinez so much because he doesn't bother responding to childish BS. He's Travis' voice and he acts like it.

Hey guys. Bear with me as I ask silly questions. I haven't closely followed this trial. I've only recently started watching this everyday.

Did the Jury have questions for the Judge regarding the prosecution's case? What were they? Thanks!

Check the timeline thread. It has everything that has happened during the trial. Lots of good stuff there. (To whomever is taking care of the timeline.. you are doing a fantastic job!! Thank you!)
