Very dismissive comment. More time to prepare (within reason) is always better, pro or not. If for no other reason (and I think there are lots of reasons), might be helpful to research statements made by Jodi Arias.

I would presume he will still use the weekend to prepare. She doesn't have to be done with her direct for him to be working at poking holes in her testimony.

Juan is more than ready. He has proven that time and time again. Jodi is just giving his investigator's more and more material to work on. Even we can see where she is headed with Travis in the shower and no weapon. Not sure it will work. jmo

The judge has to state no parole cause after 25 years here goes the parole hearings. I know, have to do with it with my brothers killer. His killer will prolly be paroled within the next 5 years. His sentence was life, but had the the little stickie on end with a max 25 years. :furious:

In AZ there is life WITH parole (25 yrs) and without. When my sisters killers were sentenced in 1990 there was no LWOP so they still enjoy that privilege. When one of them was released from death row 3 yrs ago, he was reverted to life WITH parole. Luckily this "mentally retarded" man was also convicted on conspiracy so has two life with parole sentences consecutive. That's the only thing keeping him in prison for life now.

Agree, she went to Mesa with an agenda & an arsenal. Armed with a gun/knife/ & recorded sex tape.

Played the sex tape for Travis & threatened to expose him by playing it for others (gf's, his Bishop, etc) if he didn't comply with her demands. She wanted something from him...marriage, a commitment, "official" gf status, money, any or all of the above. She handed him an ultimatum.

Poor Travis had no idea what he was up against when he refused her desperate demands. Instead of cooperating, Travis told her to get the eff out, leave for good this time & never come back. JA was furious, but also came prepared. He got in the shower, she pulled out the gun & knife....we know the rest. Sad.

JA's a lying, desperate sociopath who will say or do anything to get her way. I seriously doubt Travis knew she was coming or that he willingly let her in. Either the door was unlocked, she had a key or she used the doggie door. Travis was taken by surprise that night.

JA thought her careful planning would work. After all, she planned the perfect murder. She thought deleting the photos on the camera would be permanent & the washing machine would destroy any chance of recovery. JA is so clever, or so she thinks. If not for the camera....different outcome, perhaps.

She attempted to destroy the camera & that didn't work, came back to bite her in the a** Now she's attempting to destroy Travis & that won't work, either. I'm (impatiently) waiting to see JM bite her in the a** on cross.

That's my version.

They should be paying less attention to online comments and pay more attention to getting Gus under control. All his media interviews cannot be helping the company. He is basically talking about private information regarding people within his company. Isn't that some type of violation of company rules if he is in management? Did he consult with his attorney before heading out on this media blitz????? jmo

Oh, sure. Clearly, since the defense is battered victim/domestic violence. But still, after hearing Jodi's version of events, Juan may have less than 24 hours to prepare for his cross or to research anything she says. He's a pro. He'll make it work.

I agree with you. Juan has/had been taking notes during Jodi's testimony and he knew this would be their "defense" before the trial. I'm sure he's played in his mind over and over every question he wants to ask Jodi. We've all sat here and played with some questions to throw at her. I think he will focus on the fact that she is a proven, self serving liar still trying to get away with murder. I bet he has a book filled with every lie he's found in her testimony so far and I believe her will call her out on it. If yesterday's voir doire was a preview of what he has in store than I'm not worried at all. Did you see her face when he caught her in a lie? I believe he will start in chronological order of the events while working out the lies in her version of "self defense" He got this.
