I'm glad you said this. A defense attorney is supposed to defend his client zealously. He is not the bad guy but it is always hard not to let the negative feelings spill his way. With evil psycho murderers he just has a harder job. And from what I understand once you take on a client it is very hard to quit no matter how much you despise them.

Totally agree.

I put criminal defense attorneys right up there with proctologists !!!

I saw a post on facebook yesterday from Jodi's friend Donavan where she said that the Bryan guy was a media chaser and not one of Jodi's friends/boyfriends. He's seemed shady from the start. I havent listened to anything he's had to say. Just another goof ball wanting his 15 minutes of fame.

Well, I'm sticking to my idea that he's gunning for a book deal and bucks over 15MOF... but that's just me.

My point was that I'd like for someone to find out just how seriously she's taking her Mormonism - guessing: not very if at all. I think it would be worthwhile to find out, especially if there are any Mormons on the jury. I'd like for her to be exposed for what I think she is - someone who could care less about Mormonism but used it as a tool.

She may be pretending still, and I'm curious about that. I'd really like JM to show the jury she has no convictions of any kind, Mormon or otherwise - except that which is beneficial and self-serving to her at any given time.

In fact, even if there are no Mormons on the jury, it's highly probably there are people of faith, devout people of faith... and proving JA treats religion as a toy, a facade, a temporary guise would be a good thing.

I haven't seen or heard anything about her practicing her religion. Just attending church/temple once a week doesn't cut it if she's having jailhouse sex, etc. I figured BC would simply be the one to be put on the spot - I mean - asked about it.

yeah and he goes on the very trip Travis is supposed to be on, knowing Travis is dead from some kind of reason he doesn't seem to care about, and never discusses it.

He tries calling the prosecutor but never tells what "evidence" he has...just plays a little cat and mouse game with them.

He claims on TV the phone records will bear out his story, knowing no one will call him or his phone records. And if someone gets a hold of them (which won't be by him producing them as he knows what's on and not on them) he will claim some kind of "mistake".

He makes it up as he goes along just like Jodi. Classic Narcissism and no wonder he's supporting her and had whatever trysts with her in his creepy travel trailer. Birds of a feather.

In my opinion.

If Gus didn't seem like such a media wh***, I'd wonder if JA had something on him (ie blackmail material). JMO

Don't know if this was already discussed but it appears to be the metal floor drain in the basin floor. Give the angle and size of shower the placement would be about right. Could also be a partial image of the cap from a shampoo tube. I have a few of those in my shower.

I'd really like someone to ask Bryan Carr (sp?) if he's ever a guest on the trilogy of trial entertainment shows (JVM, NG, Dr.D) to ask him how fervently she's practicing and adhering to her Mormon faith. (Eye roll)

One of the many injustices this person has done outside of what she did, horrifically, to Travis, is what she's done to the Mormon faith. I don't agree with or understand everything about the LDS community or practices - then again some things I think are great ideas (frequent, scheduled, group meetings, activities and outings is something everyone could benefit from imv - a healthy, wholesome social connectivity - I wish I'd had something like that when I was in my late teens/twenties... would have saved me a lot of grief and possibly saved me from more than a few truly wrong-headed - read: dumb, stupid - mistakes ).

But whether one agrees or disagrees with a particular religious denomination, Mormonism in this case (or is LDS more appropriate?), it is - dare I say - sacrilegious - the way this religion is being scandalized and cherry-picked for ratings which is just WRONG.

It's just bloody WRONG.

Can anyone tell me one thing about JA that is likeable, positive, good, empathetic, honorable? Anything?

I respectfully disagree. I don't watch TV so I don't know what exactly the shows are saying about Mormonism but I don't doubt they are scandalizing it for ratings. Scandalizing the Mormons is nothing new. But I don't believe at all that JA herself has done anything to make the Mormon religion look bad. She has described its practices accurately. If anyone would be able to make the Mormons look bad it would be Jason Derek Brown or Mark Hofmann if anybody cares to Wiki these criminals. Or the Mormon church's involvment in Prop 8 in California. (That one really did not do the church any favors IMO)

I am not willing to give JA any credit for scandalizing the church.

As far as Mormons vs LDS..it seems now days some Mormons do not like to be called "Mormon" but when I was Mormon it was ok to be called that. Probably personal preference. They have not changed the name of "The Mormon Tabernacle Choir", yet.:moo:

Every time I hear JA make judgmental comments about Travis, I reflexively interpret it as referring to her. (Jealous, obsessive, etc.) I think she does this a lot (reverse roles, emotions - oh wait, she has none - faults...).

I truly dislike this person, and that's being nice.

My brother and I have been talking about this too. Wouldn't burglary make his death fall under felony murder regardless of the details of how he died though? Isn't that why JM charged her both with 1st degree premeditated and 1st degree felony?

I'm a little fuzzy on the details of that. Maybe we should post it on the legal questions thread.

When that part of the tape came, she looked up and looked sad for a minute. Here her sister has been supporting her ridiculous claims and there she is stabbing her in the back like its nothing. Her sister looked hurt as well. To rehabilitate herself to the jury she had to disclose her sisters business. I believe she meant exactly what she said about her sister. Also, she talked about Travis making fun of her brother for being gay (I don't buy it) Jodi testified about a gay man warning a girlfriend that jodi was coming to confront her, she made a negative comment about his response and attributed it to him being gay..

How would Travis know about Jodi's brother's sexual orientation? Did Travis even meet her family? The only way travis would know about her brother is if she told him, and by the way she described the gay man I don't think it was nice. She talks badly about others.
