She will not go mental. She'll learn and adapt to the new rules and testify accordingly. She's a chameleon and will do what she needs to do for her own best interest. She's not scared or intimidated by where she is or what she's testifying to...JM knows this. I dont think he'll try to get any sort of reaction out of her; he will try to get to the facts.

Please don't crush my false hope!!! Thoughts of her flipping out are what get me by when she goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on.....

In the winter there are so many out of state plates, as well as Canadian, they almost outnumber the "zonie" plates.
Especially here in Mesa.

For sure. Usually Mesa or Scottsdale is our launching pad when we visit. I luv your State. One of my most fave places. We are avid golfers and have Family in Mesa.

We know from all of Jodi's ramblings on the stand that she does not like being told what to do. Not by the school, teachers, parents, jobs or her own attorney- you know, the one desperately fighting underhandedly TO SAVE HER LIFE. She also does not like to feel embarrassed (I'll come to this later).

Remember on the interrogation tape with detective Flores where she was worrying about the effect on her reputation!

WTH?

I would have been shaking and balling my eyes out as I confessed to every last thing I did, how I did it, when I did it, and why I did it. I would have been begging for mercy and forgiveness and explaining every last trauma inflicted upon me under the sun, throughout my entire life, to put some context to it.

Not Jodi- see the normal things that would embarrass me like sex tapes and going from boyfriend to boyfriend with no real life accomplishments don't even phase Jodi- she is used to being sexy and intriguing to strangers and beautiful, quiet and shy to those who know her.

The truth is nobody really knows her- not even her closest boyfriends because there is nothing to know. She is a parrot of human beings, human doings, and human emotions.

She is a psychopath/sociopath, I think most of us agree on this. She hates herself. She watches other people, with their real emotions, real feelings and can never understand why she doesn't. It pisses her off, but it also gives her a strange leg-up on us fallible humans. But she craves what we naturally have and that drives her BONKERS. Her internal stirrings are visceral- like when she describes how her nerves get tingly and she feels frayed. That is as close to an emotion as she gets. Can you imagine? She has cellular ideas of believing she is superior and feelings of anger and sometimes rage, when she can no longer control it, but for the most part her 'feelings', as long as she is getting her way, go un-phased. I think that is what Travis mistook for behaving like a 'Polyanna' and what TV talking heads mistake for being delusional.

I wish more than anything just once, maybe after she is convicted, she would just come clean. Explain it all to the world... how she has never felt what others feel and how she has always wondered why. How what bothers others has never bothered her and how that really is a conundrum to her. How Travis would still be alive had he only towed the line- her line. Whatever it is I wish she would, even if just for shock value- tell the whole darn truth. That the only real feelings she has are anger and rage.

I think she will be like the Craigslist killer if she is convicted and will commit suicide in jail soon after her sentence. She will finally follow through.

If only she had done it sooner....

Love this post!!

This woman wanted to defend herself without a lawyer! She's up there doing her thing and without question, she's calling the shots on what her thing is! She will adapt and defend herself quite well without "breaking down". The truth will be the facts - that's all.

Hopefully, the jury will be focused on facts as well.

she didn't flinch but you could see the obvious discomfort that she had being caught in a lie. Nurmi was well aware that she didn't forward it to whoever the guy was (at this point were losing track of all them men she juggled) Jodi/Nurmi purposefully tried to mislead the jury with her testimony that she forwarded the message to travis mistakenly. I think the jury caught on as well.

Or that Travis was, indeed, expecting her but did not want any of his friends to know that he was still seeing Jodi. So her told her to park down the street so in case a "nice" girl dropped by, there wouldn't be a strange car in the driveway.

I don't think the "nice" girls would be dropping by his house at @4am. She had no reason to fear being caught out there. She was in a rental car that no one had seen before. His roomates were most likely sleep because unlike Jodi they had real jobs to be at in the morning.

I don't know why, but I really really feel bad for Jodi's dad... That poor man. Watching him in court eyes filling up with tears and clenching his jaw... I can't even imagine.

IMO her family are her victims too. I think sometimes we forget that.

are they using the funds from the sale of ja's artwork to stay in phoenix for this trial?

BritsKate - My fear is that if even one of these jurors believes a shred of her testimony and he (JM) gets "tough" with her; they might find sympathies to her favour. I think that the defence is hoping for just this! Given the information you've shared about yourself, surely you know and understand that this woman will not be phased by anything JM does. She might fake that she is (again to gain favour with whatever single juror she might have already "touched") but this chick will not sweat, no matter what.

If this Jury does their job. Evaluates the Testimony/Facts she will get the DP. The Law calls for it and it fits. Emotions should never enter into deliberations. It is what it is. IMO

I think Juan will annihilate her. I do think he can box her in. Will she have an answer. Absolutely. I dont think she will feel intimidated. I think she will feel anger. It will be epic. And she wont even see it. That will be the beauty of it. IMO

Her lies flow so plentifully, we're now all confused. I think Nurmi is using her lies to confuse and befuddle.

You can bet they will have some insanely implausible "reason" JA had both knife and gun handy in the bathroom. There will be epic howels of indignation from Websleuths as well as tearing of hair and renting of garments.

So true. I have been to your State I would say maybe a dozen times. I have only met 2 people who were born Zony's. Very transient State.

:greetings: Now you have met a third! And I can't seem to get out of this state either :notgood:

And weeping and gnashing of the teeth too I am sure....

I don't think there is anything to prove it either way.

Hope everyone had a fabulous valentine's day that was free of melted chocolates and spiderman underwear :)

Haven't seen any of Gus on tv yet today but y'all's posts have kept me up to date! There's only one way I could see JA calling him hours after the murder and that would be so she could use him to dispose of the gun/knife. Highly unlikely but with their awkward relationship I can see them bonding through something sick and twisted like this. Remember the first day Gus appeared in court and she was staring at him with her creepy smile/smirk???? *insert mr. yuk face here*

I watched Gus on tv earlier today and the thing that gets me is this... Travis was murdered June 4, 2008. Today is Feb. 14, 2013. WHY wouldn't he have said something to SOMEONE before today about Jodi calling him on the night that Travis was killed? I will admit that I may not be the brightest light bulb in the box but *ding dong* it doesnt make any sense that something that important would be kept secret by Gus for all these years. When he was on the stand.. it was obvious that he was mad at Juan and his office for not calling him back. ok... did the defense make him mad by calling him back and then not allowing him to take the stand so he come forth with this new information? I just have a feeling that even if it is true... Juan will not call him back... Does it really make a difference if she called him or not? IF she did.. HE should have called someone. HE admits that he knew TA and JA were fighting and then she calls and says he's dead? I don't know... the whole thing stinks. He's sure getting the limelight he craves. Everyone has had him on their shows. If anything... it's proven one thing..... Travis' side is full of classy and good people. Jodi's side is full of nuts and bolts and crazies!

They should have the CEO of Carnival strapped down to the exit stairway as the passengers exit, and allow them to give their "thanks" to him as they exit.

Seriously though, most people understand that things like engine fires may happen on occasion, but its what they do afterwards that gets people upset. Surely there could have been something done to expedite their arrival to land.

I said this in my last post - I don't think the upside down plates were done until after AZ, but done out in the desert while burning clothes. JMO

Now, after thinking it through, I realize she was trying to avoid detection in AZ completely, so that's where she'd want the upside down plates. But at first, I was thinking she wouldn't want to be stopped in AZ for upside down plates. :waitasec: Which is it?

And weeping and gnashing of the teeth too I am sure....

I also went thru a confusing relatioship at ja's age. I cried allot for 7 years...never once thought of killing the man. He had many characteristics that the defence has claimed that TA had. Yet still no thoughts of killing..I jut wanted to escape the feeling i had of no self worth. I finally escaped and made a few more mistakes in relationships before i got it right.

And believe me more happened to me than a wooden kitchen spoon When i was a child.
Praying for justice for T A and lis loved ones

SO far almost 7 days of her testifying. The similar case that keeps getting thrown around here, that of Wendi Andriano, had her testifying for 9 days. At this rate it looks like Jodi will exceed Andriano's....since I sense that we have all next week AT LEAST for her to get to just before the murder and then MAYBE the week after we will GET to the murder....then maybe another week for what she did AFTER the murder.

I would like it if we could get a day of Juan cross-examining her for each day we have been subjected to the defense's questioning of her. Then again, I honestly don't think it would take several weeks for the prosecution to tear down her lies.

He is there. Just said on the news that he went on board and talked to everyone and apologized. But, everyone they have interviewed have been very up beat and only had good things to say about the crew. I think the news made much more of it than it was. Not the best, but bearable. jmo

BBM = Amen!!

I think that since she has owned up to taking his life the point he's trying to make is moot. The fact he's just now bringing it up seems to be a ploy to get more tv time IMO
