Exactly. As I said Dr. Horn had never been asked the question of which came first so it was irrelevant to Juan. It was only when the DT asked him in a deposition which one came first that he answered them.

Its already been concluded by the Judge the sequence does not matter. It does not remove the heinousness and cruelty of the acts.

IMO

Right. And I just think it's pretty preposterous to think a medical examiner is going to come to his scientific conclusions based on the state's theory or the state's sentencing anticipation.

IMO, if the ME was going to be a yes man for the state, it would have been better for him to conclude that the gunshot was first because that's what the detective had been saying all along, and that is actually easier to understand. He didn't come to that conclusion, however, because it is not what he believes from his examination.

I think the ME's conclusions are based solely on his scientific evaluation of Travis' body and wounds. I still happen to think the gunshot was first because that is the only way I can get my mind around it, but I do not take issue with the ME or think he had any agenda other than to testify truthfully about his scientifici conclusions.

i think jodie is trying to get it in the minds of the people that travis was into underage girls and i don't believe he was but he did say she sounded like one on the phone sex tape, so she is using that statement to blur the facts.

My Opinion: When Travis made the remark - that Jodi sounded like a 12 year old girl on the phone sex tape....I think Travis was letting Jodi know: He thought she was performing a very "immature/childish" fake orgamism; and she wasn't fooling him.

In no way was Travis indicating he was interested in underage girls, sexually. MOO

Thanks for this. I missed this part. Anyway, it's just my inquiring mind trying to sequence the events for myself. Obviously, means nothing in the big scheme of things. Justice for Travis is the goal.

Just wanted to say for clarification that what I meant is that the claim that TA was a pedo is preposterous and that he was a pedo into boys AND girls is absurdly preposterous. I think that the claims that are coming, about the murder are going to be over-the-top, mind-blowingly preposterous.
IMO

We are going to have to wade through the sea of lies. Whatever she said Travis did then I will believe that is what she did instead. She is infamous for flip floping their roles, imo.

ITA! Its going to be way over the top as all of her detailed lies have been thus far.

IMO

I was wondering whether the ME's report includes information that constrains the State to a stabbed-first theory. If not, I think the State went with it for DP and I think it could hurt them in the case as it stands now - dp is on the table no matter what and premeditation is with a gun.

And, actually, yes. I think if the ME can ethically support the State's case, he will. He was equivocal, and properly so, imo

His report says nothing about the sequence. It's just a factual report about the wounds and a conclusion about manner of death.

I think it was quite some time before anyone ever asked the ME directly about his conclusion. Flores believed that the ME had said the gunshot was first, but that was never part of any ME report -- it was Flores' misunderstanding, perhaps influenced by his own conclusion that the gunshot was first based on the ninja tale that Jodi told.

YW.:)

In fact I think Dr. Horn said in all his time as ME he had never been asked that question in his career before the DT asked him.

is this PPL legit? I mean... does anyone actually know anyone who pays for that? Also I wonder if Jodi had it...and if so... if they are footing the bill for this?

I have to admit I actually had PPL in the past BUT had no clue where it originated, etc. I actually know many people who had it. No, I am not Mormon.

It was cheap, $10 a month, and rates never went up (had it over a a 20 yr. period). It does not give you unlimited legal counsel. You called a number and told them what type of advice you were seeking...ie...real estate attorney, etc. An attorney would return your call within a certain amount of time. They then gave you legal advice on your question/subject. They might also write a letter or make phone calls for free.

You got a reduced rate on attorney representation in court or more involved cases...but had to use their attorney.

I used them to get a contractor to finish an in-ground swimming pool, to clear up several title problems on a home I bought (without a realtor), to write a letter to my now husband's ex-wife when she harrassed/threatened me and son (and it stopped her), and got a couple speeding tickets reduced, etc. This was all pre internet and they gave me advice on rental property laws, insurance advice, etc. I never paid one cent for any of these things.

They were great for small things. They always told me what they could do for free, and what the charges would be for larger things. They must have contracted with a very large law firm in the city in which I lived. It was like I had a good friend for an attorney who would give me legal advice or would write me letters, etc. for free.

I NEVER EVER considered calling them when I got a divorce (which cost me a truckload because my ex wouldn't settle). I wanted to pick my own attorney and wanted the best.

Ok...my secret is out...don't throw tomatoes...and please don't mail me any pamphlets you find at the mall!

IMO Travis was accurately describing what Jodi sounded like. He did not express a sexual interest in 12 year old girls, and in no way did he ever say anything about sodomizing a little girl -- as Jodi later interpreted his comment.

Wish they would make up their minds what Travis "liked". He was (according to the defense/JA) a non-preferential pedophile who favored boys and girls???

:waitasec:

Well, yes! And he doesn't keep any pics or anything to use at a later time!

:floorlaugh: and :banghead:

And here we are having hours of debate. That really surprises me though!

Regardless of my experience with some of the People (not the product!) I am happy to hear that it was of some benefit to you and $10 a mo. is not bad at all, even if you just got some sound legal advice now and then.

Just starting this, it's a half hour with Loni Coombs, it's a half hour but I don't have cable so it's interesting to watch an extended conversation about the case.

Somebody on here was proposing that JA would proclaim that she was a hero, selflessly sacrificing her body to keep TA from forcing himself on innocent children. I can totally see that psycho trying to pull off a story like that.

Not a single shred of 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 of any kind was ever found on his computer, right?

<original comment deleted, as referenced quote from troll/spammer was quickly deleted>

Travis mentioning that JA sounded like a 12 year old girl during phone sex is not indicative of a sexual attraction to children. I trust that the jury is not that stupid, despite what the DT attempts to portray.

Of course, we all know that.

I understand but his conclusions make the most logical sense to me. Imo no way would Travis have been ambulatory with a bullet going into the temporal lobe at a 1000 feet per second. He would have major trauma unable to have defensive wounds after then and make it down the hallway.

I do think he may have had air escaping from his lungs out through his windpipe and horrid slit throat and she thought he was still alive so she shot him in the head last to make sure he was dead before she had to get out of there.

IMO

Um. Not on here. Maybe on another forum but definitely, not here. Please link if I am mistaken.

That is what sociopaths do. They mimic others in order to appear/fake normalcy.

IMO
Their myspace pages are eerily nearly identical as well. I think Jodi also wanted to appear to Travis as intellectual, articulate, intelligent and sophisticated.

I read her blog though and am left with WTF?!?! :waitasec: Her writing obviously surpasses my critical thinking capabilities. ;)

Thanks. That's what I thought. Since the report was silent and the point of his testimony was dp qualification, I believe that was the reason he (somewhat equivocally) supported the stabbed first scenario. I think another expert could just as reasonably conclude that Travis was shot first. So, back to the original point, now that dp considerations are resolved, will it help the State to stick with stabbed first? I really don't think so. In fact, I think it's the major weakness in its case, if there is one.
