I used to think she stabbed him first but now I think:

1.Shot first, little to no blood, pic of him sitting in shower. She shot first because she could not risk him fighting back. She wants the upper hand. Control.
2.Gunshot did not totally incapacitate him. He is stabbed next and gets some defensive wounds. Both a gun and knife are used to make it seem 2 people attack him or she just wants to inflict damage because of her extreme anger.
3.Cuts his throat. She enjoys killing him and wants to inflict wounds. May have felt it would add to the idea of 2 killers. Or at least confuse the murder scene.

to me he looked drugged in the pics...I was looking at the autopsy report and what does it mean at the very bottom about specimens on hold? it has a (6) listed down there for the *
maybe there are reports that have not been seen yet? anyone know?

OMG!

TruTv going to 2 hrs 9-11 on March 4!! That's only 2 weeks away. Maybe HLN will pick up the trial? Otherwise, we'll miss Juan's cross.

When she first got the job at Ventana she lived in a tent, until she got staff housing. I do not know anyone that has lived in a tent- for any length of time- as an adult, or otherwise.

I just want to say that I think the summer staff at these resorts in Big Sur live in tents, tent cabins, yurts. There's not a lot of real estate out there and what's available is $$$$$$$. It's really remote and not easily accessible.

Also, many park official live in tents (at least in the summer).

It's GORGEOUS out in Big Sur and the campsites available (to the public) are booked well before summer.

OH god. ok, no i think she got him and he fell back? Why can they give us official crime scene photos lol

AFAIK he's still alive when he's sitting in the bottom of the shower, which is the last one of him alive. After that, the ceiling shot, then the one of her dragging him IIRC.

If he attacked her for dropping the camera, as the defense says, then why are there pictures inside the hallway. If it were dropped would it not have stayed in the bathroom?

Excellent point!

Lots of websites show the trial, with no commercials.

that is a good point, it would never have left the bathroom to take that photo

Didn't he say at the beginning that Casey and her Dad have made up?

How do you 'make up' with someone who sexually abused you as a child and threw your baby into a swamp and blamed it all on you?

With that in mind, how did it get there? Who the heck holds onto a camera the whole time they are murdering someone? How? Or being murdered? You've really got me wondering about that now. IIRC the strap was still in the box... so ..was that photo in the hall? Or maybe it was the bathroom?

Ugh...the way she says he was shot in the head (she does say he was sitting, then he was shot in the head) then she holds her head, very nervous, closes her eyes (reliving it) and sort of shakes her hands (get this visual out of my head) and says "and Travis was screaming"

19:20 on. If I did not know better, that is very convincing and her emotion, she is just fibbing about "who" did that...

The description of Travis holding his head screaming sounds very real, and that precipitated the panic to me. Screaming and not dying, she would not know what to do. Help him or keep going. She kept going.

Not sure who could listen to that part and not think he was doing just what she said...
She said he kept screaming, but not like a girl.. just "ahhhhhh" then he said "go get help"
she said he wasn't getting up he was just sitting there screaming the whole time

Omg.. poor man.

The question posed above is interesting. Most observers of this case will conclude that JA is a psychopath. But actually little historical characterological information has been forthcoming in the defense testimony or on talk shows. She “successfully” lived with a man for over 4 years!!!! That takes some skill in navigating conflict and negotiating compromises. Nobody to my knowledge has stated that JA was frequently caught in lies – ala Casey Anthony.
Most people simply say that she evoked a certain”creepiness” and that she had a “blank soulless stare”. A lot of former acquaintances say she was very “private” and rarely talked about herself or discussed any of her problems.
She obviously was highly skilled in creating an evocative sexy persona which would be attractive to males and a total “turn off” to females.

BUT to my knowledge she:
*Never broke the law
* never was arrested ie no DUIs no shoplifting etc
* was never fired from her food service jobs (???)
*paid her bills as best she could
*owned a car
*successfully held and used a credit card and a cell phone
*was never “jilted” or shunned by all her prior male suitors.

So it would seem- correct me if I am wrong here!!! – JA never demonstrated past behavior which would be characterized by a forensic psychologist as “psychopathy” or “sociopathy”!!!

You're wrong. Many politicians, CEO's and successful business people are psychopaths..

In addition to the lack of hemorrhage in the brain... my other thought is if her intention was to kill him as quickly and "cleanly" as possible.. why would she change from shooting to stabbing? Just 1 gunshot? Unless the gun jammed, IMO, a single gunshot wound to the head would be, not to sound crass, but what happens in like zombie movies for assurance, at the end of a quarrel.
If he was getting up or fighting too much after being shot in the head *first*, why didn't she shoot him in the head again or shoot him in the heart? Or shoot him anywhere else?
I personally believe he was shot last at this point.

MOO!

I believe he did tell her "go get help" Poor guy did not even realize what happened and who did it. Probably felt a burning sharpness but just extreme pain, bullet lodged in the left cheek.

Her behavior is so different during these parts compared to her description of what we know to be lies.

This will give me nightmares to know he was calling for help

I gave up on this puzzle some time ago. We don't usually see photos around the killing to confuse the issue. Glad we did, to put her there for sure, but the wounds were enough for me to decide it was not self defence. The rest is good sleuther material but it makes my head hurt!!

my head hurts too. i am so glad i have a boring "normal" life.
JODI killed him, she planned to kill him, she got caught --due to good police work-- and now she is is lying to save her skin; enough already.

Maybe he's trying to cause a mistrial and then get off of the case. :what:

No lawyer would ever do that. That would be serious malpractice.

I agree. If you think about, JA HAS to be relating what happened because at this point she doesn't know what evidence LE has; she would need this info to construct a story around it.

What she is saying is not pure fiction.

MOO!!!!!

IDk I've never sat in the shower so it was weird to me too but apparently many members here do sit in the shower to relax.

I think the one of his face is fear and knowing she was going to kill him. I think he had slumped down to the floor. The door is open in the last shower photo, and I think Travis jumped and was trying to get away and there are stab marks in the front.
I can see him backing up as she sliced at him, then she stabbed him in the heart. That is the blood on the sink, then she stabbed him in the back as he goes down the hall, and cuts his throat.

Jodi always left something behind as an excuse to return. I think she did act like she left and returned. Jodi doesn't give up or shut up. She is always talking, trying to control with her words. I can hear Jodi going off on Travis, telling him what she was going to do.

When I see the photo of Travis and his hands at his chest, I think of a man in torment, in prayer, asking for forgiveness. Something else she stole from him A very personal momnent that Jodi showed all the world. She sure doesn't leave anyone with much does she?
