It's true that defense attorneys cannot turn away guilty clients. And yes, everyone is entitled to the strongest defense, but defense attorney's don;t have to break the ethical rules of conduct to put on a solid defense and they aren;t allowed to do so.




Totally agree. Breaking ethical rules is repugnant to me. Even ethics that have no written rules attached.

IF she is to be believed, it sounded as though both TA and JA may have been on their knees just prior to hell breaking loose.

Wonder if they were in prayer?
Kneeling position would certainly be a better position for TA to lunge at JA, rather than from the seated position.

Not sure why he would suddenly kneel down in the bathroom, nude and soaking wet to pray when Jodi claims he lunged at her because she dropped the camera. jmo

It's too bad they are doing this. I recently found 2 other members of my family watch the trials. They were complaining how TruTV doesn't have trial coverage like the old Court TV. It is all crap now. I guess we will all have to watch online. I don't understand why they are doing this. Surely they get the viewers. Everyone talks about it at their work.

rather than where my computer is, the trial coverage is much more complete watching live streaming on the internet, because no commercials or talking heads butting in just when something important is being said. I missed so much of many trials watching on In Session.:seeya:

Thanks for posting them. It make my thoughts of the sequence of what happened cleared in my head. I have always thought the picture of Travis sitting on the floor of the shower was taken after she shot him...she thought the shot would kill him, it didn't and Travis was able to get up and make his way to the sink and that's when she stabbed him in the back and she turned and went to the bedroom...he managed to turn around and make it bleeding down the hall going after her or trying to get to a phone....she saw him and then started stabbing him in the front....he went down and she slit his throat....I still have no idea why she put him in the shower. I am probably wrong....but......will we ever really know the truth?

She may have been working up nerve or she may simply have wanted to make sure that any trace of her DNA could be washed off, where he fell. Remember, she washed all the bedding after the murder.

gitana1, the CA jury is the same one the Prosecution chose. Not just the Defense. I have a lot of respect for the jury process.

The jury hearing the case against JA will deliberate and conclude on the evidence they are presented.

there's the process....then there is the people involved in the process. That is where issues come in to play. And we all know people on those juries don't always get it right.

I can't find the link at the moment but someone blew up that $699 check and it was noted as payment for airline fare. So Jodi didn't loan Travis money, she was reembursing him for travel expenses...I believe it to be true as I watched the Travis family when Jodi was testifying to these loans and they had quite a smirk on their face...they have seen those checks.

I never got the impression that JA was a golddigger (I know you did not say that) or that $$ was that important to her based on her former boyfriends' lifestyles when she was with them and she did not work at high paying jobs.

I think if she were after a man's money she would have picked somebody other than TA, without roommates. And if the $699 check was for reimbursement to TA and she was paying him for the car and he gave her a job cleaning house, well, where are the freebees that a golddigger would expect?

If I were a golddigger, I would expect the man to pay for all the above and kick the roommates out of the house and be college educated and have a non-MLM job where there is a dependable salary. (medical ins? retirement plan? in the event I got him to marry me) That is just me. :moo:

omgosh - just catching up with IS today and to hear Jodi talk about how Travis wanted to take pictures of her in her bikini. She sat there with such shame saying "no, I deleted those photos, because they showed cleavage". Oh the embarassment, the abuse (my words).

But yet, she has oral sex with him that same weekend at havasupie! Alrighty then - delete those nasty bikini photos.

I wanted to throw something at my TV it made me so mad!!

I don't believe the JA story that TA lunged at JA BECAUSE she dropped the camera. However, he may have lunged at her in an attempt to disarm her and she may have dropped the camera in the process. JMO.

I'm thinking that IF JA had threatened (truly or as a ruse) to commit suicide and got TA down into that seated position in the shower, he may have asked for them to pray as a ruse to get into a better position (kneeling) to take that lunging action to disarm her of the knife/gun. JMO.

What do you think David Westerfield is? It's always bothered me about the story of him rubbing his thumb on his nieces teeth when she slept one night. We all know what it was.

I believe D. Westerfield is a pedophile and a child murder, anything else I don't know. Remember how the screen was pushed out at one of his upstairs windows, maybe his bathroom. They believe he had been watching the children in his neighborhood constantly with his face or binoculars pushed up against the window.

If you followed that trial, I forget his attorney's name, but that guy was a piece of work, trying to throw the parents under the bus, he brought up so much inappropriate stuff and threw it out for the world to see. Of course that junk had nothing to do with anything. Westerfield was shaking through most of the trial, I guess in jail he could no longer drink as much has he had before his arrested. Westerfield got the DP:great:

That would be inconsistent with the drag photo and the volume of blood at the end of the hall where imo his throat was slashed.

She would not need to be dragging him TO the spot she slit his throat, she did drag him BACK to the shower.

Well, I'm thinking he was face down when his throat was slit at the end of the hallway. For the blood to drip backwards and down his back he must have been in a different position at some point in between for the wounds above his neck to bleed backwards and so profusely.

I am board certified neuroradiologist and have examined hundreds of gunshot wounds to the head and neck, mainly by CT scans. Cranial MRIs are generally not done in acute GSW to the head because of acuity and artifact generated by metal. Embedded metal in a brain would move precipitously in 1.5 T magnetic field.
The trajectory of the bullet was downward and slightly obklique from TA right to left. The bullet penetrated the right frontal bone, just above right brow, entered the anterior cranial fossa, and “probably” grazed or penetrated some the anterior right frontal lobe white matter. The bullet then exited out of the anterior cranial fossa somewhere to the left of midline – ie planum sphenoidale or left orbital roof then entered TA left infratemporal fossa.
There is also possibility that the fragment did not proceed in a straight direct A to B course. Course depends on muzzle velocity, kinetic energy of a 25 caliber projectile, bullet fragment spin and disintegration, bullet fragment interaction between the inner and outer table of skull. There may also have been some ricochet phenomenon operative although Horn’s report was not clear here.
The bullet fragment lodged near the left mandibular condyle. I am unclear if the left side of the upper nasopharynx near the torus tubarius was injured or not. There is insufficient detail in Horn’s report to identify with precision exactly where bullet exited out of the anterior cranial fossa.
Kinetic energy and fragment spin would traumatize TA right frontal lobe. But TA would still be very much conscious and still be completely mobile. The bullet fragment trajectory was far away from the right motor strip or the right internal capsule.

Diabolical Jodi is hell bent on murdering Travis and drives over 1000 miles to do it, had him in the must vulnerable position ever.....Please no posting pics but we know the one flat on his back with his eyes closed and most likely sleeping. Assuming that when she arrived she was not able to due to his being up, this was in my mind the perfect time.

But (IMO) she didn't want to leave a mess.....thinking all the cleanup would be easier in the bathroom with the tile floor etc...
