I think he knew she was there and was allowing a few photos to be taken, however I think this is when she caught him off guard, he knelt, or looked down, or crouched for whatever reason. She pulled the gun out and shot.

And I believe he was screaming like she describes (and holding his head) making his way to his knees.

It just does not seem logical to me that he knew she was there and was he a willful participant, due to a few issues I can't get around. One, being her attire. It was the middle of June in Phoenix (often gets to triple digit temps) and her being in long track-pants and fully dressed would not have raised a flag to him? Two, he just does not seem to be portraying the imagine I have of man posing for a camera. Why so serious? Third, he had a call to be on soon and I can't help but think that he would not be playing around with JA taking photos when he has a call to prepare for.

Leads me to believe he was not a willing participant. Therefore, either a)he did not know she was there, taking photos; or, b)he was being told to wash off and make sure all of you is rinsed, at the end of a gun.

The ME is a court expert in these matters. His opinion that there was not significant bleeding around the entrance wound, and that the resultant incapacitation would be inconsistent with the other trauma, should be given more weight. At least that's what I think. Also, I look at that picture and immediately think neck wound. Retired paramedic, for what that's worth. I've seen lots of head and neck trauma in my day. :cat:

I believe he specifically stated the was hardly any bleeding in the skull cavity. Iirc.

I agree with you ... Is there any evidence he knew she was coming before she arrived because I am thinking she snuck in and held him captive now.

I thought she surprised him and they made love all day prior to the murder. jmo

I guess if I were here attorney the first thing I would say is

"sista, you talk too much"

How did she get this much blabbing out. Was this during her "act as my own attorney phase?"

Interviews with Flores were prior to her arrest and right afterwards in California and she had been read her rights. The interviews on TV I don't believe her attorneys were aware of them. I would think it would have been against their advice so it is possible she gave those interviews during the time she fired her attorneys. jmo

In this case wikipedia is accurate; there is no psychological diagnosis of psychopathy.
If this is not correct, I would love to read about it from a reputable source.

The Hare checklist is used in criminal justice and it should be noted that
Robert Hare himself has expressed grave concerns regarding the use of his checklist in criminal justice.
http://www.npr.org/2011/05/26/136619689/can-a-test-really-tell-whos-a-psychopath

The Hare checklist is a psychological diagnosis. If you don't believe it, then let's say it's a guide. So was Cleckley's. It's not in the DSM, but it is out there, especially in criminal profiling.

I am not quite sure about what point you are making. Are you arguing invalidity or what?

As for Wikipedia, we can agree to disagree because I am surely not seeing your view as authoritative.

NO that part I'll go back and transcribe in more detail (I sort of start at the she is at the shower about to do it)

SHE says to the Detective she calls Travis (maybe 2 or 3am) and says "hi, guess where I am?"

and she said, so Travis said "what? where?"
so I say "I'm in Arizona"
she smiles, giggles and says to the Detective "there is silence then"

WELL YOU THINK? So she admits to surprising him!

License plate: I think she used a stolen one while in Arizona. Then, put the correct one back on, in the dark (which is why it was upside down), in the desert, and tossed the stolen one onto the pile with the floor mats, bloody clothes, gun, knife, gas and kerosene cans.

Hair: Hair dyed before hitting Az. Since she thought the traffic cameras would pick her up, she could say "not me, I was blond (just ask the car rental guy) and that's clearly not the correct license plate for the car. See here's the plate# on the rental agreement.

The traffic camera comment leads me to believe that she put the plates on, upside down prior to leaving Cali. I think she was under the impression the cameras ran 24/4 and did not want to chance the plates being easily displayed for the camera.

If there was evidence that TA knew JA was coming, the DT would have had it printed on a banner.
So.... no.

Jodi says she mailed pamphlets about pedophilia to TA. I took it to mean pamphlets to help someone overcome this disorder. Do they even make them? It's against the law...and taboo...and sickening.

Question: what does BBM mean?

Also, o/t, I'm watching Nancy Grace and I've never watched her before (until the other night), and she is hilarious!!! I'm sure she's trying to be serious, but she is making me bust out laughing kind of regularly here. And the handcuff necklace?!?? Classic.

I believe D. Westerfield is a pedophile and a child murder, anything else I don't know. Remember how the screen was pushed out at one of his upstairs windows, maybe his bathroom. They believe he had been watching the children in his neighborhood constantly with his face or binoculars pushed up against the window.

If you followed that trial, I forget his attorney's name, but that guy was a piece of work, trying to throw the parents under the bus, he brought up so much inappropriate stuff and threw it out for the world to see. Of course that junk had nothing to do with anything. Westerfield was shaking through most of the trial, I guess in jail he could no longer drink as much has he had before his arrested. Westerfield got the DP:great:

I did follow that trial, it was a heartbreaker. I felt so sad for her parents being thrown under the bus in addition to their child being murdered.

And where did she get such reading material? I have never heard of them. For that I think the person goes to a Therapist. And my guess is they don't have "So Your Doctor Says You Are A Pedophile"

(like we used to hand out, So Your Doctor Says You Have High Blood Pressure)

She is so defensive and then almost a confrontational tone. She knows she was the assailant and I think, not sure, the Detective wants to dis the female assailant (maybe he already caught on the female is really Jodi) so he calls the female assailant aggressive which is really calling Jodi a name. And she shoots back very fast as if to say "who you calling aggressive? did you just call me a name??"

--------------------------------
(Detective: seems like from what you are telling me she was the aggressor? and he was the more passive)

Jodi:
I guess so. Ya I mean there was definitely aggression, as far as I mean I don't know what you define as aggression by, its like, I was, there was a sternness

Oh, wow. That is a bit of a slip, isn't it. "I was......there was sternnes." She does not like the term aggressor when she applies it to herself. I love it. She tells Flores, in her storyline later, that the woman wanted to kill her but she thinks she was not being aggressive, just stern. lol

The only way I would doubt the ME is if she or he had been bought in the past. I also think there is otherwise a miniscule chance of mistake, although it happens. No one else was there, the ME was, and I marvel at the hubris of those who think they know better. It's one thing to speculate, but it is another to decide. I hope the two don't get confused.

Are you saying they are only going to carry trial coverage for 2 hours per day? :what: Well that's not even worth the trouble with all the talking heads they put on every day. I guess when they start that 2 hour timeframe I will just delete the DVR of InSession. Saves more room for The Walking Dead and General Hospital.

No, if the trial is still going on March 4, it starts at 11:30 est

IS is only broadcasting from 9-11 starting March 4.

So, IS will not be carrying any of the trial. Still 2 weeks before the IS schedule changes. If the trial is not complete by then, maybe HLN will carry it.

If I'd seen those pics and the genders were reversed that's what I'd be thinking so why not ... Just because the perp is female and the victim male?

~bbm

Imo, because men and woman are way different, in general. I posted about the captive hypothetical a few days ago and did an informal "man poll" since then. 6 of 6 men interviewed said there's no way Jodi's holding them captive with a .25 caliber gun or knife or both without them putting up a fight and having the result to prove it. There would be no naked photo shoot. These men all are professional and are all older and in worse shape then Travis was. They were adamant.

Nothing is impossible, of course. But I strongly believe there's no way he was a hostage while in the shower.

BBM means "Bold By Me" and is used when you bold a phrase in someone's post when you are quoting them. :)

I love Nancy Grace too, she's a hoot, but I wish she would quit cutting her guests off in mid sentence when I want to finish hearing the point they are making. It's maddening to me, but still I love Nancy.

I have provided valid references that confirm psychopathy is NOT a psychological diagnosis.

The information is provided for those who are interested in knowing that 'psychopathy' does not have a clear definition in modern psychology and want to further research the psychological underpinnings of this case.
