Apart from what I stated above about sadism and rage, maybe she had the gun just in case the stabbing was not effective enough and he came after her. Then she could shoot him if she thought her life was in danger.

But I am of the opinion she planned to have both weapons- in her mind she would stab him repeatedly and then effect the coup de grace, execution style. She wanted him to suffer and then to be crushed like an insect. She was a goddess all right. I think that's the way her mind and fantasies work.

I have a theory as to why 2 weapons were used: She thought that maybe it would throw off the investigators by making it look like there were 2 killers.
It's even possible that in her pre-meditation, she considered using the Ninja story, if necessary and 2 weapons would seem support that story.

Whew... there are quite the 'tudes in here tonight. :D

I'm not claiming to be smarter than anyone else, just stating my opinion. Take it FWIW.. which granted, ain't much!

It just makes no sense to me that JA would think for a second she would be able to subdue TA with a knife. What does make sense is that the sequence of events was just as she told Det Flores.... shot first and the gun locked up. From there, she doesn't reveal what happens. But the closer her story remains to the truth, without implicating herself, of course, the more likely it matches with the evidence.

All that being said, just because it makes sense to me doesn't make it so.

I'm done on that debate. You're welcome. :D

She said the same thing in her 48 hrs. interview. I think there tends to be a little bit of truth in everything she says. :twocents:

Hey guys...As interested as I am in this case I do not have the courage to look at photos of the deceased (I've had to turn my eyes away). Please do not post any of those photos here on this forum. Faint-hearted girls like me would be traumatized for life. Thanks!

I stand by the fact that she relishes what she did. That she fakes the emotion. We will have to agree to disagree. She is not just sick and twisted, she is a psychopath, IMO.

Unless you mean she showed emotion at the fact that Travis was not dying quickly enough for her, but then I imagine an emotion like petulance, not a disturbance.

As I stated my original comment was about a piece a video and what I felt about her emotions and lies in it. I agree with the poster and expressed a MOO on top of it. I won't repeat what I typed again as I've already repeated it.

I don't wish to discuss whether or not Jodi is a psychopath either as I have already agreed throughout my time here that yes, she is. Sick, twisted and evil to boot.

MOO, JMO, etc.. :moo:

The dilemma for Travis was that nice marriage-material Mormon girls must be virgins. JA disqualified herself by being so sexually available to him.

Well she wasn't marriage material for a number of reasons .. I get that he wanted to MARRY a virgin, but since he was no longer one himself he had other options in regards to his sexual needs and he really did know that Jodi wanted more than just sex / friendship. Most guys won't continue sleeping with a woman once she displays these characteristics.

I would want to know how many times Travis invited Jodi to meet him vs how many times she just showed up.

I think she just showed up .. I don't think he would have called her much either - maybe only to give her a serve for her latest dramatic stunt for attention ..

JA has 4 straight days of sitting in maximum security considering her testimony, tweeking the lies. The defense team lost it's crescendo for the jury to consider for the 3 day weekend because of the sudden cancellation of court on Thursday. I wonder what that was to be.

I have been very unbiased on this.. But I cannot believe this has become the Jodi show.

I was remembering my cat Baby, who I lost two years ago. And I still cannot get over that.

How does she get over killing Travis, unbelievable.

Thanks for posting that Softail :) I watched it when it was broadcast but it's nice to get to go back and re-watch things she has said, especially after her loooooooooong time on the stand. Oh yeah, she is still going to be up there on Tuesday. :banghead:

I agree with you, there is some truth to her lies. Whether it be a few words or an entire story flipped so whatever said or done by another was by her instead.

I can't wait until Juan gets his opportunity to untwist her tails and have her stuttering and tripping over herself. The family has had to hold on for so long, putting up with her painful stories. It's time it gets fixed.

Yea, but all they would have to do is turn the picture upside down. The cameras take an actual shot of the back of the car. Besides, I can read upside down almost as well as right side up. Surely others can too.

Her comment about the intersection cameras is a clue to her thinking, so I'm just throwing out another theory.

Your clever observation about the 'upside-down' license plate being a moot tactic, considering that the majority of us can read upside-down (and yes, that does include me, btw); however, I did not see a reference to JA in your response and it is she that we are discussing and she is not clever.

The explanation I gave wasn't based on what I would do, I'm trying to think of what JA would do. Therefore, I would not put it past her to put the plate upside down in the hopes of the camera not being able to pick up on it.

I am feeling that this endless droning of Jodi with her story of how Travis used and her and degraded her, blah, blah, blah is not going to work in her favor. Rather than looking like a battered woman, she is simply looking like a woman who was scorned and out for revenge. The sheer savagery of how she killed him shows a lot of hostility and anger, not a woman who was fearful or at the mercy of an angry man.

While I am getting tired of her endless and incessant yammering, I do feel that she is just digging herself in deeper and deeper and giving to prosecution even more to work with.

So go ahead and keep talking Jodi, you obviously think you are smarter than everyone else and able to explain everything away but you will have lots of time in jail to think about it and realize that your inability to shut up makes you your own worst enemy.

Good morning everyone! Just catching up to all the night owls! On the topic of shot in the shower......I looked again at the empty shower photo, the one taken after Travis was removed, so it's a crime scene photo. I will not post the photo but I hope you know which one I mean. Look at the area where his head was resting. There is a clean void where his head was. At first I thought I could see his profile along the left edge of that void, but I knew that could not be correct after seeing the phot of him in the shower deceased. But look carefully around the void. There are wipe marks in blood, as though someone wiped around his head without moving it, preserving the spot his head rested. I don't know what that means, but it had to have been wiped like that after she had rinsed the rest of him off. I guess it is possible that she did get in the shower to rinse him off, standing in that small clear corner, to the left and back of the stall. Even tho he was certainly dead, he may have been making some small movements or sound. I guess it is possible that she did then shoot him, and the small amount of blood or spatter she just wiped around his head. At first I thought he may have been able to move his head slightly back and forth but that would have erased the void his head rested in. OMG I am probably not even making sense.....need coffee!!!!!

Really? That is interesting. So, does the jail separate the defendant from the rest of the population during testimony? It certainly makes sense.

By "maximum security", does this mean she is in solitary confinement, or is she in general population with a higher level of security?

Is she allowed any outside visitors, or only visits with her attorneys and therapists? How about television and/or newspapers with the current events? I'm sure she looks for herself, in the media.

It is going to be a long five days for JA! :great:

Since Jodi has blamed everything on Travis, I'm sure she has her story all prepared and rehearsed that the weapons she used to kill him belonged to Travis. She may even say he threatened her with them in the past. She had 4 years to learn new words to impress the jury on how and why she slaughtered
Travis.

2. It's been reported that Arias' mother made a complaint about jury misconduct. What they didn't report was that she claimed the Alexander family had been seen talking to jurors. The defence immediately moved for a mistrial. Each juror was called into the Judge's chambers and questioned individually. The mistrial was denied. Arias' mother lied.

Clearly the apple did not fall far from the tree.

Good thought, unless when she got him back into the bathroom she kicked it and it landed on the blood pool.

I believe the ME's point or conclusion was if it had been kicked it would have rolled and still had blood on it. There was no blood on it other than where it landed. jmo

If she were to do that couldn't the knives and 9mm gun found in her trunk when she tried to leave town before her arrest come into evidence? jmo

Can she not be done with contempt or something? Seems like this family will stoop to anything.

I feel sorry for her brother and her father, with his illness he doesnt really need to be dealing with this

What do you think is the probability of that happening? Especially with the observed state of the casing.

Same thing I was thinking.

I was initially going along the line of TA being shot first. AND, the whole kicking the casing into the blood, etc as Zeno49 posted.

But then, IF the shot came first...AND, the bullet casing ended up somewhere "clean", so to speak....AND, it got kicked or whatever, I ended up coming out with the same conclusion. The actual "condition" of the casing.

IF it got kicked, it would have HAD to go flying in the air, and land smack dab in that blood stain. Really no deviation from that, since, IMO, the casing didn't even appear, to me, to have any other blood any place other than the bottom....as it was found.

I'm sure stranger things have happened....
Again, this is only IMO.
