IMO, the droning Nurmi is encouraging is making JA more personable to the jury. Not in a sweet and innocent lets be friends way. In a sense of not being able to commit someone they know to the DP. Nurmi's task is to save her life.
Are there still weapons charges against her too? For that, she should receive an extended sentence. Especially if it's guilty for transporting across state lines.
I'm no legal eagle, so this is just a guess..... JA is never to see the light of day outside prison walls.
