I personally have mixed emotions about DP but in her case, so far, I think she deserves it. I just hope that if she does get LWOP, I hope the taxpayers do not have to pay for her to get a college education or other things like that.

Justice is extremely important.
DP does NOT mean she will be executed. In fact, she will most likely die of natural causes. But she will have a little less fun/fewer privileges on her way there. Regardless, we will be paying for whatever higher education she requests. She will get full dental, medical, psychiatric coverage as well as the right to appeal her status till' the day she dies (which will MOST likely) have nothing to do with the fact that she's in jail!

i cant stop thinking of what may have happened, i thought of something horrible, what if she shot him, which just disabled him, then he was able to stumble to the sink (or she lured him to sink and shot ) then, she realize he not dead gun jammed? she dragged him to bedroom ran downstairs to retrieve knife, he wouldnt die he was on his knees, when she got back by then he was screaming and , only for her to begin stabbing him, where he sliced up his hands self defense the water was running ( i read something about crime scene where box in bathroom cabinet had water/blood line --then she sliced his throat. uggghhh,, i hate her so much

There's the added appeal of 23 hours a day of solitary confinement too with the DP considering just how well psychopaths adjust, and even excel, to prison life.

It doesn't have to be precise but what you write sounds about right.

Is she guilty?

No answer required.

Yes. Which is what LWOP should be but isn't.

ETA - I would think that psychopaths would adapt quite nicely. They don't give a chits zzz where they are; as long as they can continue to fool the idjuts they think they have around them.

Don't laugh, but we've all read/heard about Arias's dabbling in witchcraft/occult and I have a part of me believing Arias had some occult "training" into the dark arts...Simply by the use of knives when she had a loaded gun to murder Travis and the incredible amount of excessive stabbings, really adds a new dimension to this murder

Somehow this is wrapped around my head and my girlfriend is here with me online, she believes Arias might've had a date picked out to murder Travis in a bloodshed, horrific murder so it coincides with a cult event

OK we both read up on this...the occultist believe in numerology and 11 & 666 are the more significant numbers

Travis was murdered on June 4 2008 or 6 +4 +2 + 8 = 1010 or 11

Here's what the occultist book says about the numerology of 11

The number 11 is a "master number" and a sacred number in occult..When you mention the Occult...People who are in the Occult are Satanists (The Higher Ups - The Elite) and Satanists believe that a carefully planned event must be carried out according to the correct numbers, or it may not be successful. They go to great lengths to make an event occur according to the correct numbers. So 11 is the essence of all that is sinful, harmful, and imperfect. (This is what they believe and have adopted)

I lived in a non-DP state and now live in a non-DP country. Even having the possibility of a death sentence is somewhat foreign to me. I really have no strong views...except...

I very passionately believe the family and friends surviving a victim should have the right to what they wish. Ultimately, it is they who will have to face the coming days without the person they loved and somehow come to terms with their grief.

For some families a death sentence is unconscionable. But for others, like Travis' family, it is very much the desired outcome. I believe the choice should be theirs to make - since it was Jodi's to take Travis from them.

MOO

When the fecal matter killed my brother, we wanted the death penalty for him. We took the DP off the table during the trial when he pled guilty. You verbalized the sentiment so beautifully. I do not have forgiveness in my heart for him. Given the opportunity and legal permission I would have shot him dead and I hate guns. There is an eternal rage that stays very deep inside and it just sits there. It is the force behind my trying to make a difference in this world. Rage. Pure unadulterated rage. You don't act on it, but it is there.

What about the bloody hand print with her blood/ type mixed with TA???

Oh don't get me wrong...*i* would have zero problem voting guilty. But I would bet my last dollar some moron on a jury would not believe she did it or acted alone.

Whether the gunshot was first or last, he suffered terribly and tried to fend her off. Due to the time between photos it looks like he had at least a few minutes of agony before he died. It is hard to watch her on the stand trying to make herself appear abused in anyway. I think the sex tape back fired when we heard him singing...he became someone we felt we knew. It made me very angry. I keep up with a lot of trials and she is up there with the most evil of murders.

Look. I think it pretty simple. She tried to shoot him. The gun jammed. He leaped at her, she grabbed a knife and stabbed him. Everything else was auto pilot. On both parts. He got killed dead.
Now, how was that dang knife so handy?

I am sorry for your loss. I believe in the DP, just not sure if I could do it. A family member - let the killer fry!!! Needless, to say, I never want to be on a jury for a murder.

In the spirit world, 11 is significant also. I don't know if she planned it that way, but an evil presence was there that day.

I see no need for her to run anywhere to retrieve a knife. None appeared to be missing from the home so it seems most likely that she brought it with her. If she was the perp in the tire slashing incidents then even more likely she carried her own. Often.

I think Travis' walk in closet would be an ideal place for her to have placed her bag (whether it be backpack or whatever) because it would have been only an arm's reach from where she was when taking the pictures in the shower. There are several cabinets in the bathroom that would allow her things to be in ready reach too.

The courtroom exhibit schematic of the master suite showed a doorway to the walk in closet right at the shower. On the exhibit it is written 'shoe impression' and points to that entryway area of the walk in closet at the bathroom iirc.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Zuri. There aren't words, I know. I lost a friend to murder many, many years ago. She was only 15 years old. Now, as a mom, I read about other 15 year olds and guard my own children - with knowledge the world can be evil and brutal to often its most innocent.

She would've been the most compassionate, loving, generous mother herself. And that beauty was stolen - not just from her family, not only from her friends, but from the world itself.

The loss of those we love is beyond quantifying...but the loss of those stolen from us long before they've ever really lived defies definition altogether.

Hi Dawg

Phone records June 2
Phone records show several calls between Arias and Alexander in the early morning hours:

Arias called Alexander four times between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m.

These calls were all very short, the longest 17 seconds.

Alexander called Arias twice during the 3 a.m. hour:

The first call was just under 18 minutes, the second about 41 minutes.
Arias called Travis at 4:03 a.m. The call lasted 2 minutes, 48 seconds.

June 3

Arias called Alexander twice:

A 17-second call at 12:57 p.m.
A 2-minute, 50-second call at 1:51 p.m.

I'm catching up with all the threads. Is there a link to these phone calls? Thanks.

ITA with you both. This "I'm confused, let's go back to when....." is a ploy that I recognized the 2nd or 3rd time the Def did it, and yes, to cram so many dates -- and JA had 'em, didn't she? -- and events and conversations and lies upon lies -- with her in that "go to sleep, your eyes and ears are getting tired..." monotone -- it was all to draw this bumfuddled conglomeration into one big fat wad of muck. To totally mommick (a NC word that means what it sounds like) up what the jurors are trying to write down to keep a decent handle on what happened when. Arrrffffuuugggghhh.

If Mr. Juanderful exhibits a timeline -- he!!, we've got a beautiful one -- and asks Jodi, "Is this right, is that right?" etc., maybe he can pin her down & help the jurors with a picture/timeline, that would unscramble a lot of her carp.Grrrrrrr.
