I think she filled up the car and two gas cans. I have no idea why it wasn't done under one transaction though. Just like i don't understand her making two seperate deposits into the same bank account minutes apart. Unless this is her simplistic way of book keeping...

Are there double purchases of everything from Monterey on, where JA borrowed the gas cans?

If so, maybe her mystery caravan partner joy ride illusion began in Monterey?

And that illusionary caravan partner gave JA cash for the trip that she then deposited in her account/s, accounting for the multiple deposits.?. [Wink, wink!]

I think we saw two store receipts also. One at CVS I think 1 product but it was not detailed. I think she stopped at CVS to get the KY only. Maybe in an attempt to not have that lumped in with some normal things from the first store.

Agreed. But two very weird, suspicious fuel receipts like that shouldn't have been kept for deductions, because, as I said - they only hurt her alibi.

She should have just taken the loss on that one. She should have gone elsewhere, at a different time for the second purchase and tossed that receipt.

I'm glad she was that stupid (can I say that?) and had that much hubris - great combination in a bad, vicious, murderous criminal.

I'm in total agreement with you, she should have taken the loss.

In her mind she was too smart to get caught and figured no one would notice the oddball receipts.
Apart from her evil side, she seems a very strange person to me.
On the sex tape, that crazy laugh of hers makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

I'm glad they are not going for an insanity defense here because I think they'd have had a better chance with that one...she's just that disturbed. Not legally insane but bizarre as all get out.

Evil has many faces and she likes trying on many for size. In my opinion.

I don't. The palm print seems to have happened during the attack or moving him back down the hall IMO.

I think it happened on the drag back ( palm print) I think she removed glove to look at her finger after slashing his throat ... I don't think she realized she touched the wall.

Iirc roommate said the banister was just cleaned ... I think she wiped it down.

Do you think she was gloveless?

What I find fascinating is she really tried hard to remove trace evidence. From dying hair, braids, rinsing off Travis, washing bed linens, cleaning the banister, perhaps even the floor downstairs... She left no prints on the washer dryer...

IMO that means she was aware of just about everything she touched while there.

Regarding the events of May 10th - I think that the sex-tape may have been in the early hours of the morning and then her blog post and his text message to her occurred later in the day.

Haven't been able to read all of the posts to catch up, but, I seen the text message mentioned on the last thread too... that text message was actually sent on May 26th, not the 10th. I know minor4th had found it late last week when we were trying to figure out when it was sent. JA's testimony is all over the place and so hard to follow. I'm sure Nurmi will take her back to being a toddler tomorrow *sigh*

She did not need to hide from buying gas on the way to Ca. so....did she burn up the evidence somewhere between Utah and Northern Ca. ?????

I think you may be on to something with needing fuel for the fire she had to build to burn the clothing and knife/gun.

AZGRAM previously brought up a good point that I missed in the testimony about Jodi saying this below:

I'm wondering if Jodi actually broke her finger during the murder and she herself used posicle sticks, Im wondering if there was popsickle stick wrappers anywhere in his place that LE found or in the freezer. Or maybe if there were receipts from the stores she stopped in, did she buy any ice cream or popsickles at any of the stores.

I think Jodi has consistently lied about things that Travis did that she actually did herself. Hope PA can prove she lied about things like this.

She may have put the nozzle back on the dispenser after the first fill-up (cans or car) which would have ended that transaction, then she would have had to do another one.

The bank deposits - she could have handed them to the teller one at a time, waiting until the transaction was finished before she gave the next one.

Trying to figure out this woman is almost pointless, who knows what she was thinking

Re: bank deposits, in those days, I am wondering if she had several deposits, specific amounts and if you hand them 3 checks or a stack of cash, the deposit shows $4566 (for example) When she wanted to see all 3 figures, so she did them one by one so it itemizes out so she can remember what was what. When in fact the receipt might have itemized them anyway, but sometimes it does not.

she may have put money in for 3 trips, and wanted them to show up independent of each other so she knew what she put money in for. Just guessing and with this girl who knows.

I believe so. She was definitely in Utah, as the receipts show.

Hi, katie! Seems like I read somewhere on here (or not), that she had bought another gas can, making 3. Dunno fer shure.

Either she was getting two burgers or whatever for now & later -- she had the gas, so why stop for food (side of the road to relieve herself??) -- or she was trying to make it look like two people -- but how did she think that would help her? Hitchhiker would be a possible witness, so prolly not that...

I'm so sickandtired of her, I really don't give a dayam anymore.
