I'm also curious as to why she did this? Why did she go to Redding to rent it? Did she have other "business" there? What was the point of going there given the she used her Driver's License and her credit card to rent the car?

She must've hopped a ride to the car rental office...maybe she chose that far away rental office because they offered customers alot more mileage on trips

if you see the hln map posted in the media thread it shows a complete circle that her trip took and also shows where she made transactions on the way.

She went from her home, south to the car rental, kept on going down to Monterey where we know she visited DB and borrowed gas cans. She then headed right for mesa (she fell off the grid here... used only cash and turned her phone off).. then poof on goes her phone as she heads to Utah and back to california.

Her transactions and stops are what give away where she was and where she was headed.

I live near San Francisco and I've made the drive north to Oregon and south to Monterey many times, so I have a real life experience map in my head. It's a long drive from Yreka to Redding and there's not much in the way of public transportation. I'm sure the answer to how she got from Yreka to Redding is here somewhere. If somebody gave her a ride, I'm curious to learn more from that person.

I just watched part of this about Jason Young on dateline and I did remember! I guess a lot has happened since then. I can't believe the first trial ended in mistrial. He cheated on her and was awful to her. The crime scene was awful. I am glad he is locked up. Hope he never has a chance of parole.

Sounds plausible. She told the car rental guy that she would be travelling locally but the agreement had "unlimited mileage" so, you might be right.

I think she ambushed TA by sneaking into the house and planned this to be a quick execution, then bolt for Utah for a booty call with Ryan

I think too once she drew blood, she went into psycho rage mode, almost oblivious to the excessive brutality....

I think she got it all out of her system and realized the clean up of blood, etc with her prints anywhere in the home was more than she planned on

This made her switch to the home intruder story until she could gather her wits to admit she killed TA

And she knew TA had a roommate (Zack) who might've come home anytime or friends stopping by since TA had the open door policy to friends...so she wanted out of the house quickly and forgot the all important clean up

I think she would've possibly gotten away with this murder, but she could'nt control her anger, rage and she lost her mind and sense of time how long she was at the home once she started the killing

Her plan was to kill him in the shower. She needed to wash off her DNA.

She was ignorant about what to expect when stabbing someone to death. Travis really hosed her when he slipped, slid, and stumbled out of that wet shower stall alive, and then, wouldn't you know, he just wouldn't sit still and be peacefully stabbed, slashed and shot in the head.

Poor Jodi, she's a victim of her own narcissistic evil self.

That still makes no sense to me about Travis wanting her out of his life??? Were'nt there time stamped photos of the two of them naked, sprawled on the bed right before the murder??

That still does'nt sound like Travis wanted her completely out of his life and it does'nt sound like he was pizzed at her either......Did I miss anything on this ?

Maybe Arias staged the naked photos by holding a gun to his head, made him take photos of her, then she took photos of Travis naked...This She Witch is completely and totally capable of doing whatever it took to complete her murder goal

I think he wanted her out of his life and would have been very pleased if she never showed her face again or called him or contacted him at all. I really do think that is what he wanted, judging by the last week of their interactions and the slow burn leading to that point.

However, when she showed up unannounced and uninvited, I think he acquiesced or maybe even relished the opportunity to have sex or perhaps he was coerced to do things he did not want to do at gunpoint. There's no way to know -- it's not a certainty that they had "lots of sex" the day she murdered him. Yes, that is one possibility, but there are other reasonable possibilities.

I don't think we do know how she got to Redding or with who. The car rental guy said that he thought she came in with a guy but he wasn't positive.

Oh I was just being smart about the trial and Scott Peterson. Once I knew he was convicted I was like a bird out of a cage. I followed that trial so closely. I was home alone when the verdict was read and I stood up and cheered. Seriously! Then I read the jury's book and Catherine Crier's book. He was off to death row and I forgot about him. I could never forget Laci and Connor or little Caylee Anthony. Jodi loves the camera and the limelight but we will forget her too, that's all I am saying. Travis did not deserve this.
I have never heard of Jason Young.

I think Beth during the Scott Peterson trial was fantastic, that also is my founded memory of Court TV message boards ... When Geragos parked that boat and all the CCTV message board folks, myself included it filled with flowers!

I overheard this exact question from a customer about the debit/credit cards and the car agency said these cards are still considered debit cards. I think it may have to do with the fact if you get into an accident and have $5k damage in the car they have a better chance at getting the money from a credit card versus your bank account.

I believe it's to cover your deductible. You have to have insurance coverage and most companies the deductible is either $500 or $1,000. Just because you have a credit card does not mean you have a $500 plus credit line. Insurance companies want to recover the deductible. Most people carry insurance and you certainly don't want to run the risk of driving a rental car without your own insurance. jmo
