So...everyone..."Let me ask you this"....said in my sloooowwwweeeesssstttt Nurmi voice...

Is Nurmi EVER going to get to that little part about the murder?

I think that the defense has blown it by keeping her on the stand for 6 days already, talking about every nonsensical aspect of her life EXCEPT the murder.

And then, there is that pesky little part about where the gun and knife are now...

If she hadn't had that gun he may have won the fight.

Even if the deep thoracic stab wound had not been fatal, the throat slash was incapacitating within seconds and terminal in less than a minute.

She didn't need the gun, IMO.

All she needed was the element of surprise, which she definitely had, a long knife, and the determination to wield it mercilessly.

And all the evidence indicates that she did just that.

I'm still not sure that it was sunscreen that Jodi purchased but, if it was, I found this:

"If you have ever witnessed an unfortunate encounter between sunblock and eyes, you know firsthand just how painful it can be. In fact, someone who has experienced a severe case may compare it to mace or pepper spray. It can take a long time before the victim can open his eyes, especially outside in the bright sun."

In the really hot months, when I sweat just a little, the block i use on my face will get into my eyes and I can hardly keep them open (actually their closing up is beyond my control), plus they tear up like crazy and my face sort of contorts. I usually have to stop and wipe with a damp cloth or paper towel. It can be very very bad.

Thanks! Thanks too to everyone who transcribes. So we don't know how she got there or got back to Yreka after she returned the car. Strange, I would think this part would be of interest too. Or if it's not, then maybe the reason it's not interesting is interesting too. :)

I bet her finger was never broken. I think she is double jointed!

I think it was damaged when the knife slipped as she was slaughtering Travis. She had her finger bandaged the next day at Ryan's. I think that she damaged a tendon and it healed untreated.

I want to hear the prosecution do nothing but hammer Arias about the murder scene, killing and if Arias is bored, so be it....Keep hammering her like a Heavyweight Boxer to break into a pizzed off rage...I want to see her angry...I want to see this She-Wolf Witch just explode..

I don't care if she starts talking in Devil's Tongues...She can babble in Satanism for all I care, I want to see her explode

I'm tired of this "Woe Is Me" behavior
:furious:

You're talking like full on head spinning pea soup spitting? That would be awesome! I

Well who knows what 'real friends' consists of anymore--I've wondered this myself as I've had friendships transition or fade away.

However, the question was, "have we heard from a single female friend of Jodi's?" And yes we have. The one from Utah in particular self-identified herself as a close friend.

Seriously. Where is this girl's girlfriends? I'm talking about the ones you'd call to help you when stuff went down, not the one who doesn't know you very well. The friend who knows ALL your business including, but not limited to, the shampoo you use. Know what I mean? Where are THOSE women? And if she didn't have any, well, that's a red flag to me.

:moo: of course, but really. Who doesn't have close girlfriends?

That would make just as much sense as the testimony so far...:floorlaugh:

:floorlaugh: I think it was broken when she tried using two hands. LOL.

Hey, thanks for looking that up. The last time I looked something in this case up I started getting nasty emails in my spam. Hope no one has to search my computer. It will look like I'm into all kinds of things. lol :what:

That happened to me during the Noelle Paquette search/arrest ....:blushing:

I am glad he is locked up. Hope he never has a chance of parole.

In North Carolina, first degree murder = life without the possibility of parole. And they mean it!

Maybe she sprayed him in the eyes before she attacked him? Just thinking out loud and trying to understand why she purchased the things she did.

I really don't think Juan will get to Jodi tomorrow. We usually only get about 3 hours of testimony in an entire court day out there, so I can totally see her talking at least 3 hours from where she left off to the murder. And then she will have more to add about what happened after the murder. Geez, that could be another 2 days.

Wait... Lets back up to when you were 7 years old again..... Arghhhh

Sorry, think I have PTSD

OMG I had one of the more traumatic experiences with sunscreen in my eyes when I was like 10 at a water park I must have recently reapplied it to my face and went on some ride and it got in my eyes and it was the worst burning imaginable. Likened to the worst soap in the eyes times 50. It burned and burned and I was in that water park bathroom for 15 minutes easily trying to wash it out and soothe with cold water. I could barely open my eyes, I thought I was going to be blinded! Now I'm super careful about sunscreen and water.

IMHO Some women have more guy friends and very few female friends because they believe other women are jealous and would'nt want a friendship

I don't think she would have been able to cut his throat. And the fatal stab wound may not have happened if she hadn't had the gun. I think the gun gave her power over him, where as if she just had a knife he would have easily gained control after the first stab, maybe even as soon as she tried to stab him.

I'm honestly thinking we may not get to the cross until next week with the holiday and all this week. HUGE mistake on the defense part. These jurors have to be thinking that this attorney is nuts and that she is guilty as HELL-O!

Honestly? I don't consider any of my friends *that* close. When I was younger, yes. As a middle age adult, there isn't anyone I consider myself that close to. I'm more private now than I was then and I had some friendships end over the last 10+ years...ones I thought were really close. Turns out I was mistaken.

I don't think we do know how she got to Redding or with who. The car rental guy said that he thought she came in with a guy but he wasn't positive.

moo

Jodi claimed her sister-in-law brought her. jmo
