He was called by the defense. he did appear to be sympathetic to her. And he did seem to be caught off guard when Juan Martinez asked him about the gas cans she borrowed from him while starting out on her murder trip.

Hmm, I wonder how Juan found out about Darryl's gas cans? Did Darryl spill the beans to prosecution about lending them to JA?

I'm a bit confused about the morning that JA went to DBs to pick up the cans. :waitasec: I believe she said she stayed for breakfast and left after DB's son went to school (did they have one last fling in the hay? This may explain his support of her and his being in luuuuuv on the stand), but did JA also say that Matt M. also showed up? Or, do I have that morning mixed up with another date?

I feel like a lot of the speculation as to whether had sex or not comes from the shock that Travis would have willingly let Jodi back into his house after such a big blowout. To me it actually makes sense on some levels. As I said before I think on one level he felt some guilt in the "creation" of this situation by having sex with her (it's not his fault, I am just discussing feelings). He also did seem like not a perfect, but a kind guy and even if he meant every word in that email (or was it a text) to her May 28th, he could have felt some level of guilt, that emotional pendulum swing back after a release of anger like that. And I do believe this was all mixed up by at least a little bit of fear by that point. All of this, and the availability of easy sex... Who knows, we might be privy to more information in the coming days, all I am saying as I think it was possible for him to have opened the door willingly.

Agreed. For all we know she talked him into it by saying "One last time for old times sake. I know we're not right for each other, but I don't want to end in such a bad way." I could see him falling for something like that. :(

I agree. It blows my mind how fast it all happened. No way it would have happened so fast if she hadn't caught him by surprise and her first blow was a big one. Whether she shot him first or stabbed him in the heart... he barely had a chance to try and defend himself! I've started thinking maybe the first one was the stab to the back of his neck / ear. That would be an easy one for her (left handed) as he's about to stand up from that seated position.

I don't know, but we all know... no way was this self defense!!! :furious:

LBJ's, this is my friend theory. He thinks that she stabbed him behind the ear first. Those head wounds were also deeper than the chest and backwounds..more force applied to the head. He also believes the gun shot was neither first nor last......

Let's just say we argue allllllll the time about this case. LOL

I don't remember this part of the interrogation. Was she asking about the Ford Focus that she rented on her way to TA's, or the rental that she had packed-up when the LE arrested her?

JA bluts out out of the blue during Det Flores interview with her, asking if they will bring the FIRST rental car to be investigated.
I was totally out of context, but you can tell she's worried about the evidence, and is trying to make her story fit it.
I posted the link this afternoon - I'll see if I can find it.

I found this link to the pictures from the camera in order with timestamps. It's strange that the two between the surprised look and the face straight can't be made out. It really makes you wonder if this is when she pulled out a weapon and then forced him to sit. I go back and forth on how I think that went down, but this makes you wonder seeing them in order!

The more I see the pictures the more I start to wonder if she forced him in the shower with a weapon. The first photo, he is standing there with his arms crossed. Thats a strange position to be in. Even in the next few photos with his back towards her, his face is turned to the side... as if he didn't trust her being behind him. These photos weren't from any sort of sexy photo shoot... They are uncomfortable and odd. I think maybe he was forced into taking them.
Scary thought really.

Start about the 46 min mark for the rental car question.

How can anyone actually believe that a 115 lb. woman assaulting a 190lb. naked man will switch from a sharp knife which will be slippery with warm blood, stop to grab a gun for a single shot to the head, and then continue with the slippery knife? :waitasec:

Gotta' disagree. It is a typical pose as you adjust to the water temperature. Simple as that. Not scary at all. Your imagination is playing tricks with you. Sleep well. Tomorrow is a big day. :)

I've never stood that way in the shower to adjust to the temp of the water. I don't believe it has anything to do with my imagination playing tricks on me. The pictures are all strange, they aren't a sexy shower photo shoot. They are all awkward.

Can't sleep, I'm at work...

Odd that the shower photos seem to have no flash. If he was consenting and she was taking the pics for a purpose then taking flashless pics seems odd so that makes me thinks she was stalking him at that point. How freaking bizarre to do that but that's JA. Where would she have been standing (or crouched) when taking these pics? His closet or the bathroom closet? Then the closup of his face (the one where he seems to be looking directly at the camera happens) pic is taken and seems to have much more light exposure than the previous ones. Was he showering in the semi dark with the light off, only using the daylight from the window?

Why the heck would she even have the camera during the murder? If she had a knife and a gun and a badly bleeding and struggling Travis, then how the heck did she hold a camera too (which did not have the strap on it apparently as the strap was still new in the box).

Ya know what? I think the pics show it couldn't have been self defense. Any person in fear for their life would not hold onto a camera while fighting off someone, although it does appear the last pics were from the floor level perhaps and she was no longer holding it and was somehow taking picks on it's own. It just doesn't make sense!!

Really, this case never ceases to amaze me and confound me.

That's beyond me. He has his own theories and I have mine. LOL

Listening to testimony.
Jodi got the helio? phone from Gus the day she moved from AZ.
About the 3 min mark.
She meets up with Gus somewhere in Southern CA - gets the new phone.

Mark me naive! Tossed salad? Oh my am I ever green on this

Me too! I made the mistake of googling about salads and dirty Sanchez and now I am about to toss my marbles. Ick! Ick!

Also made the mistake of looking at JA's pictures. Ick! Ick!

I was warned and did not listen. Nightmares in my future.

Yeah but still.....geeeeesh....noting the distance she had to drive to see him......that is some booty call. He should have been skeered

Thank you for posting this sequence. I hadn't realized there was partial faced photo taken just seconds before the full faced one.

The 'full faced' picture of Travis that caused Jodi to giggle and tell Detective Flores that Travis "hated that picture", although she didn't know why, because she thought that picture of him was "great!!!". One minute before the slaughter began.

Looking at the pictures in order like this, I wonder what she was saying to him. I'm positive she was talking to him. She finally had his full attention, and all the power and control. He was literally her captive audience.

That's one thing I haven't been able to stop thinking about these last few weeks, what her face must have looked like contorted in rage, her dark eyes blazing, and what she must have sounded like, what she must have been saying, or screaming. Or screeching like a demon from Hell.

I think that might be the reason her voice sounded so strange in the voicemail she left him hours after she murdered him.

The minutes just prior to killing him may have been the first and only time in her life she took off her 'mask' and exposed her true self to another.

What went down in that bathroom was absolutely horrifying. Just over the top brutal. Only a monster could butcher someone like she did.

Let's hope this is one day closer to a verdict. I'm rather tired of all the lying she has been doing :maddening:

Wonder what she will accuse him of today.....sheeeesh

I am glad you mentioned having the link, and grateful to you for sharing it with me! I had looked everywhere for the autopsy pic of the stab wounds to his back, as I hadn't yet seen it.

It was even worse than I imagined, and I can't get over how vicious she was. Proof that the last few minutes of Travis' life were the longest. He suffered agonizing pain.

It made me think of what Abigail Folger purportedly cried out to Patricia Krenwinkle when Krenwinkle (of the Manson 'Family') was killing her, "Stop stabbing me, I'm already dead".

Jodi isn't really human, is she? I mean, I know she looks like a human being, and talks and walks, and (urgh!) sings, and mostly convincingly functions like a human, but, whateverit is that she is missing, or whatever it is that is wrong with her, there is something essential that just isn't there.
She is not even empty, there is a screaming, scheming, monsterous abyss within her, I don't know how she has managed to hide it for this long, perhaps it has grown within her?
She is not human.
