matt has been a busy poster on pro jodi sites - and has basically said things that could impune his reputation and show he is not a trustworthy witness, if martinez cross examines him

Any guy that would date her for more than a few times is a bit off, IMO. I can understand TA's situation entirely though...attraction to the sex part but most, normal guys who have experienced relationships in the past would run for the hills from this lunatic.

Reminds me of the old saying...crazy in the head, crazy in bed.

It wouldn't surprise me if Matt has some screw loose of his own.

Why on earth does anybody think MM would a) support Jodi and b) take the time to publicly support her?

MM has been quoted saying he would lie to help JA

So if they say that they want a "stay of the aggravated portion of the trial" until after the court has held a hearing about it, what does that mean? Are they trying to prevent JM from questioning her about the murder itself?

I'm wondering if this is a delaying tactic -- that Jodi's beginning to realize that, once again, she's "over her head" and now wants several days to negotiate some kind of plea?

Jodi's lawyers know the gig is up.

Jodi will probably never plea. This is all a game to her and she thinks she several steps ahead of the game.

I'm really enjoying the show. I don't ever want her to plea.

We have not even just begun to begin.

Someone like Jodi is not going to able to get along with the co-workers, and as a waitress, I can't believe she would get along with the customers. Any back-talk, and she would be livid.

I hope she didn't do "things" to customers food :what:

The Arizona Supreme Court denied Arias's request for a stay of the aggravation phase of this trial. The trial moves forward without delay. Today's decision was not on the merits of her claim--that will come later--but there will be NO STAY of the trial.

Now, Jodi, you can do some REAL crying because you are going down with a smirk on your face.

Somehow I believe this. And I can see her standing there in the doorway not only watching him but taking pictures too, just because she knew how much he would dislike it. Perhaps with a gun in the other hand?

I think so too. And her testimony, about Travis making fun of her holding the camera "like a five year old"...... I think he really said that, but about how she was holding the gun (she was more animated, relaying that).... perhaps in some failed attempt to ridicule her out of what she was doing :(

If he (Matt) has anything to do with the magazine stuff, maybe that's why the defence seemed blindsighted by his entering into evidence? Maybe they didn't expect him to pre-empt them with that evidence?

did anybody notice that one of the magazine pages looked like it was in a different handwriting? makes me wonder if the last line was a "response"

Just out of curiousity. Will the sales of poprocks and tootsie pops go up or down based on testimony? :waitasec:

okay, this is a little behind topic...still trying to catch up here.

in JA's testimony i remember her saying that she suggested them taking the pictures of Travis because he wanted them and she was trying to get him in a better mood after an argument. (at least something along that line)

but i seem to remember earlier can't remember if during interrogation or in beginning of trial her stating he didn't want the pictures taken at first but she talked him into it.

am i mistaken? does anyone else remember that?

I remember that. She also suggested she was coerced into participating in the 'nudes' from earlier in the day. She explained how proud he was of his newly emerging 6 pack. That he was wearing some bug thing on his upper arm that calculated his caloric intake and burn. He wasn't quite there yet but he was close, blah, blah. He wanted photos to document his new self and she suggested they be taken in the shower. (While she held a gun and threatened him IMO)

I asked similar question and was told by katiecoolady who was at court that day and spoke to a court worker who claimed to know that the defense team (ergo Jodi) knew well in advance on their end about the magazines, and that any appearances of "shock" was just a huge act. I noticed Nurmi did not make a huge hissyfit over it like previous entries, which seems to support the claim that he knew it was coming and that it was admissible. His objection was "for show"

But what's the point of the theatrics? It made him look like a fool. He should have just shoved it aside confidently, like ya, we're aware of this - no big deal.

I'm still curious why the defense didn't bring up those magazines notes themselves. Jodi would certainly have come up with some great explanation. /sarcasm/

I'm still shaking my head over the whole "no one will convict me meant I was going to commit suicide" thing, so an explanation for the magazines should be no big deal -- to her anyway.

The magazines never made it out of the jail. YAY for the guard that caught the writing!!! :rocker:

Did anybody find it odd that JA said she stayed at MM's friend's parent's house/apartment (ever notice there is no easy answer to anything - it couldn't just be a friend's apartment), AND she slept on the floor? Really? What man makes a woman (especially a former girlfriend) sleep on the floor?

"If I did this, I'd beg for the death penalty" ~Jodi

Wishes do come true!

If I were her, I'd ask if I could beg right now for the DP, rather than face Mr. Martinez again, but you just know she thinks she's still got it under control.

:waitasec: Taking a "wild guess" here : WHICH arm do you want the needle, Jodi ?

:seeya:

Probably not the left arm. After all, her left ring finger has already been through so much! Let's give the girl a break.

Up, definitely. Doesn't even mean they will be used necessarily, but people will be buying them as joke gifts for some time.

JA made many serious mistakes yesterday, but two are really sticking out:

1. She said that she could freely and absolutely just walk away from Travis at any time.

She didn't even qualify it with , "Well, I didn't feel that way later," or something to that effect. Travis didn't have power or control over her. And the way she said it, calmly and confidently... I think she slipped up there because she was so intent on sparring with JM. I thought the THs would pounce all over that...

2. (I don't condone perjury, but, c'mon, this is JA - she doesn't have such standards) She never should have been so definite and specific about having only one journal at a time.

Had she said she sometimes kept other journals and would write in them concurrently - the journal entries in evidence (and what she left out) wouldn't have been nearly as damning, which she made worse by being adamant there were no other journals.

Even though she wouldn't be able to produce a "lost" second journal, she could have at least planted the seed of doubt rather than eliminate it altogether as she did.

--

I'm happy she made these mistakes - especially the first one. I think (hope) that will be stated in JM's CS - maybe a few times to really hit the point home.

Somebody who knew Jodi and didn't want her there.:floorlaugh:
