And here's ANOTHER friend Jodi has completely brainwashed and snowed. She sure knows how to use her people to do her bidding. Isn't Donovan, after all, the friend of Ann Campbell, whom Jodi used for her coded magazine scam?

I guess knowing Jodi will pay-off soon enough, though -- once the BIG interview offers start rolling in. Hanging in there gives them plenty of juice to tell once they the State "spins her around" to death row.

Jodi is like an F5 tornado.... very rare but when they happen, the devastation left in their path is unmistakable. I said it before and I will say it again. Jodi will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She's already thrown everyone (including her family) under the bus and she will NEVER be sorry.
I have wondered all along why none of her pre-Travis 'friends' haven't come forward. It's a good thing they haven't. She destroys everything and everyone in her path!!

If this is indeed true and the letters were forged by McCartney, with what could have he been charged ? Aiding and abetting ?

Exactly! Wouldn't this be powerful for the Prosecutor to get his hands on to show this entire pedophile thing is made up along with letters?

Where are the letters and where is Matt, I think they Det. Flores needs to bring him in for a chat.

And I think the photos of the male body parts are Matt or Ryan (Matt most likely as she claims only to have grinded Ryan in a love sack, not a bed, a love sack, much different) not...

Wow. Although it's not confirmed, I tend to believe the information from this author - everything she has said so far has panned out. She was talking about the magazines yesterday and said that they were related to the forged pedophile letters and that the coded messages were meant for Matt. I believe that is the case, just from Juan's questions yesterday. I believe (and hope) this will all be tied together next week.

That 48hrs director's name and phone number were in the magazines too correct?

Was this Matt supposed to call him?

Psychopaths can be immediately charismatic. Look at Bernie Madoff. People really trusted him. He gave off an heir of honesty. It's funny, a lot of women are attracted to psychopaths because they seem so good right off the bat. The guys like that are the one's they should avoid like fire. JMO

i'm thinking that "courting" is territorial jodi-speak for "having sex with"

I agree that when a man is flirting back Jodi mistakes it for "courting". When she's outside peeking in his house in the dark, that's him courting her.

Yes, I think you're right it becomes territorial. But what really clinches her taking possession seems to be when it becomes OFFICIAL which may happen after the first ...sorry...anal with a new guy.

Good thing, Abe A. didn't court her enough when she hinted at the magic in her underwear.

Was it grandiose of her to want to become a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 star with those wonders?

JMO and I'm not even trying to be catty. :laughcry:

I have a wicked little grin on my face knowing Jodi knows this and has to stew about it ALL weekend!!!

Why on earth would MM forge letters for JM? Good grief! I can understand helping an exlover, friend, present lover, but for me that would mean helping them move or giving them a lift. Forging documents in a murder trial...not so much. That old saying about friends helping to bury /hide the body is just that...an old saying.

ITA, a normal person would not do this but remember JA is a master manipulator who preys on the weaknesses in others. I don't know this MM but he may not be very intelligent, maybe she has some sort of blackmail on him? I can't imagine some ex-boyfriend, out of the goodness of their heart, forging letters like that!

this from DD transcripts from last nights show:

SHANNA HOGAN, TRUE CRIME JOURNALIST (via telephone): Yes, thanks, Dr. Drew. This was the day we have all been waiting for. Basically what the prosecutor tried to do today was to establish Jodi as a cold, calculated monster by methodically picking apart her testimony detail by detail.

What he seemed to be trying to do is erase this picture she`s created over the last nine -- eight days of testimony as a sexually, physically and mentally abused woman and instead showed her as the obsessed ex-girlfriend who could not move on and who is now twisting the facts in court to get away with murder.

PINSKY: Shanna, I understand you know something about the secret messages that are brought up in court. Jodi was giving -- passing along messages in a magazine. How do they relate to Jodi`s claim that Travis was a pedophile?

HOGAN: This was one of the more powerful moments in court. I`ve known about this for a couple years because they came out in some of the earlier hearings. But these messages were written in pencil. Basically, it`s the margin of a "Star" magazine, and what testimony showed today was she was attempting to have these jailhouse messages smuggled out of the jail, delivered to her ex-boyfriend, and when it was deciphered, it basically said, you F`ed up your testimony, you contradicted everything I said in the last year, and come see me before you interview with your attorneys again.

How this relates to the pedophile claim, is that that is the testimony that she started to elicit in 2010 and this ex-boyfriend had come into the picture and had given letters that seemed to show evidence that Travis was a pedophile, which was later proven to be forgery.

PINSKY: Wow, that`s phenomenal, isn`t it, Laura? That`s -- yes, spooky, calculated.

Oh was that HIS name and #? Thanks.

I still can't rule out that it might be mine.

Why in the world would that be an issue? The jury knows Jodi has been charged with a crime--don't they know that people who don't make bail or those who aren't offered bail wait in jail until trial? It doesn't mean she's convicted of anything, she's waiting for her trial and sentence. Is it different in AZ? (I'm in TX)

Every state is different, but usually when it's such a brutal crime bail gets denied or set so high that the everyday person can't pay it. Like the Blade Runner whose bail was set at 100K, so things are different in South Africa.

Obstruction of justice? Fabrication of evidence? Probably forgery too, if he signed Travis's name. I'm sure they'll come up with something. :)

That makes a lot of sense. I wonder if JM will be able to connect those magazine notes to the forged letters?

  • #635
Nurmi sure seemed to be looking at the notes intently if he'd seen them before. Maybe he was looking at the pretty photos though. I get that magazine myself and the photos are gorgeous in them...haha

Star? Lol

Now the pieces fall into place. I get it. How does he get those letters in? Is that going to be a problem or have they already dealt with this?

The state moved to exclude the letters as evidence a year and a half ago. In the middle of the evidentiary hearing, Jodi's attorneys suddenly withdrew their objection to the motion and allowed the letters to be excluded.

Almost as if they knew there was some problem with them... :waitasec:

  • #638
You would THINK they knew...but why did they look so confused and concerned, then? :waitasec:

ETA: Just saw your response to this, above.

ETA2: I just don't see why you would make a show in front of the jury about being worried about what is, in fact, pretty dang bad evidence for your client. If anything, you would be like, oh, this silly old magazine thing, I shall just toss it to the side like so much nonsense... ;)

Do you think they were trying to convey the impression that the prosecution was pulling some sort of fast one on them? :waitasec:

I am still amazed at her ability to question every detail to avoid the question being asked...nice trick, not working. Classic stuff though.

I'm sure someone must have mentioned this but isn't Jodi showing remarkable STRENGTH, DETERMINATION, RESISTANCE, and WILL? She seems not at all intimidated by Juan. Doesn't match the meek, mousy, girl who couldn't stand up to Travis, right?

By the way, where can I find Katiecoolady's trial notes from Thursday? I was traveling yesterday so could not follow online, and saw that Katie posted them in the "court reporting" thread but could not find it.

No, you're right. But the idea is that some (stupid) juror might think, oh, if she's in jail, she must be a criminal. Only criminals are in jail.
