A lot of states now require the card to be shown and an I9 form filled out. The problem I have with that whole story is that she KNEW the code to get in through the garage, and she TOLD everyone who would listen that she had the code, so why did she not just go in the garage and get the darn thing? Because she wanted to be peeping in windows, that's why. So glad Juan brought this up yesterday.

Her lawyer missing another Objection! Juan got away with calling it peeping;)

OK…I've tried Googling "Jodi Arias Tootsie Pops and Pop Rocks" but I'm not getting an answer to my question. I missed the back story on what the deal is with these candies. Or do I even want to know?

Nurmi sure seemed to be looking at the notes intently if he'd seen them before. Maybe he was looking at the pretty photos though. I get that magazine myself and the photos are gorgeous in them...haha

I was trying to see the "Really Right Stuff" ad. ;-) I only subscribe to 1, Outdoor Photographer. :)

ja thought she'd outsmarted everyone with her code/writing in near the spine of the magazine.

IF Matt McCartney is on the DT Witness List..
Why is he posting and answering questions online on Jan. 3, 2013?
(sry can't stomach this site to go find the 1st post of MM)

Isn't this the same argument DT had about Pros witness following media if a witness in trial? :waitasec: Or does that Not apply to DT witnesses?

Here’s another interesting post from Matt McCartney - detailing his 2 year relationship with Jodi – originally posted Jan 3rd 2013:

I don't think the defense can use him. He sounds like poison if he was in on the letter scam and so were her attorneys. And he can't be forced to testify and incriminate himself so he's of no use to the state. Have i got that right?

Hiya, everyone! Not sure if this has already been discussed...(oh, who am I kidding - you guys already thought of this, dissected it, and moved on, by the time it crossed my mind!) - but regarding the magazines she was attempting to give to her friend...

So given the description that she stated of the attempted transfer of property (magazines) the procedure appears to be similar to that in Cook County - you fill out a form, signing your property over to a friend/family member/visitor, who has already been cleared to receive the documents/papers/property (with a signature by a C.O.) A guard flips through the magazine and gives it to the visiting room officer (or fill in the proper title here...you get the gist)...and then the visiting room officer ALSO flips through/checks the property before handing it to the visitor (at the conclusion of the visit - on their way out. It is NEVER given in the room with the inmate.)

My question: Her friend, evidently, never received this property. At some juncture in the process, the writing was caught by an astute guard, who then would (according to Cook County Jail procedure, unsure of in AZ) notify the inmate that their property was being confiscated for..and there are a litany of things that could occur over (writing inside, thus attempting to pass a message...inappropriate photographs/nudity...sexual content...gang content...etc)

So, Jodi SHOULD have been ready for this (magazine thing). But she didn't seem to be. At least, her attorneys appeared to be taken aback. Did she simply forget/refuse to tell them? Or did she think that, sheerly by writing in the magazine (in Cook County, even writing 'I love you blah blah my little love muffin' would be grounds for not authorizing the property transfer, because all written correspondence MUST be properly checked by the officer in the mail room.). So, did she imagine it wasn't a big deal, that the prosecution didn't catch it? Did she bring up the notations she made, while on the visit with her friend - and then, the C.O. doing the monitoring of the visit checked out the magazine, after Jodi made reference to notes in that same item?

Basically, I'm thinking that her grandiose thinking did her in, in this instance - that she thought they didn't pick up on it, that she was free and clear. Otherwise, why didn't she try to come up with some b.s. to cover it, like she did, blaming the guard for the interview?

Thoughts?

JMO

Since she thinks she is soooo smart, she probably thought they just saw the writing and threw the mags away. I don't think she realized that they cracked her ' 'super-secret' code. I don't think it dawned on her that the prosecutors had
planned to reveal her witness tampering to the jury.

I am not a camera whiz kid by any means....I point and click and hope.....so can someone please tell me how the camera took the pictures of the ceiling in the bathroom and the picture of 'IT' pull Travis back to the bathroom. TIA

The button to take the picture is on the top of the camera. If the camera were upside down on the tile then it would take a picture because of pressure on the button.

If this is the case, a question now for our legal experts.

If Nurmi knows she is giving false testimony now, what does he do for redirect? Or does he "have no further questions"?

It is my understanding he cannot suborn perjury by questioning her if he knows she is lying.

:waitasec:

Yes, but who can prove he knows that? Nobody.

My fave moment from yesterday - where JA asks her what the numbers are to prompt her to read them, but she says they are page numbers - then she frantically scratches her face.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=y9xLnoNfyRI#t=2168s

PS Sybil was fake. I just found out a couple of weeks ago.

She knew and said they were page numbers right away. She said it so fast that I hadn't go over all the possibles like lottery or safety deposit box #s before she gave the answer.

Which Sybil was fake though? The whole Sybil or just one personality?

This is 2 part questions.. while finding 'dates' << this is why I relate to the Juanator "what is The date, what Time Was it?" :blushing:

Lie or Truth?
JA says she doesn't remember the name of the CO who 'didn't push me but encouraged me' to do Inside Edition bc JA said 'she, they did not wear name tags'.. hmm most states do,
1) no name tags for CO's in AZ??

Jodi Arias Trial - Day 21 - Part 3 - YouTube

10:00:00 mark about hearing and 19:00:00 mark start 2 magazines -
8/4/2011 met with Ann Campbell and Photo Mag in JA possession
8/8/2011 Hearing regarding pedophilia letters/passing contraband
at 35:53:00 mark of Star Mag
7/25/2011 Mail date tag is Feb 6, 2012 > ??

BBM-

When Juan put the magazine up and had her read the date, she read the date of the magazine first, I think July 2011, but then on the printed subscription sticker with her address, it said Feb 6, 2012.

What I found myself thinking is that maybe that 2012 date is the end of her subscription - I think I have seen that on magazine subscription labels before.

If she had the meeting where she tried to give the magazine to Ann Campbell in 2011, then I am sure that 2012 date on the label is the end of her subscription.

I'd take one into the courtroom if I wouldn't get in trouble. LOL!

Yes, she will get a last meal.

Here are some last meals of death row inmates who were executed here in Arizona.

http://www.azcentral.com/news/artic...s-history-death-row-last-meal-last-words.html

Thanks for this article. I found 2 things remarkable - 1) These men probably got very upset stomachs from all that food they gorged themselves on; and 2) No remorse from any of them when they died. And lethal injection seems pretty easy and painless to me.

Since Jodi was defending herself from an abusing Travis..... And she likened Juan to Travis the abuser..... Does that mean Jodi was threatening to murder Juan?

Had to go find out exactly what Arias said about her secret messages in the magazines. Juan says, "They're in pencil right?". She answers, "I haven't seen them."

Jodi Arias Trial - Day 21 - Part 3 - YouTube
min mark 28:30

When JM gives Nurmi the first sheet listing what was in the magazine, JW says, "what's wrong with that?" I don't think she ever saw that magazine. I'm guessing the other attorney probably quit because of this. Jodi's denying she wrote in the magazine with her answers. Must have frosted her because JM never asked her if she wrote them, only made it clear that she was the only one who had them until she handed them over to the jail personnel.

It's her writing. She can't deny it, well she can but even the jury would be able to tell she wrote it. Same lettering as her journal.

How ironic. She's implying it was "forged" because she didn't write it. :floorlaugh: jmo
