What i mean is the entire sequence of shower photos.

I do not buy into this being a photo session, every single picture I believe was taken under duress up until the shot of him sitting in whhich i think he knew his time was about up.

The ME said it would have been at least a distance of 3ft or so away which most likely could mean he was laying on the floor, possibly on his side and then she has shot him before dragging him into the shower.

Whatever your belief as to gun or knife first, the trajectory was that if it was done during the photo of him on the left sitting in the shower......the one where she SPECIFICALLY did not have his head in the photo. She is left handed, and the trajectory was from his right temple to left cheek. Perfect IMHO when I recreated it in my shower with me sitting down. MOO

I agree with you, she doesn't seem like the type to protect someone. She seems more like the type to blame it all on them and to claim that they manipulated her into helping out and covering up the crime later. Just based on her testimony where she was trying to paint Travis as this undercover, evil tyrant that would turn on her in a flash if she didn't give in to his ever want in desire or if she did something as "stupid" as mess up a CD, etc. She would have thrown her helper under the bus a long time ago if they existed, imo. :moo:

Um, don't think that is what is being said as to showering then dragging. Remember, all happened in less than 2 minutes, so she did not shower after killing, changed, and in less than 2 minutes she was fully clothed when dragging.:moo:

Linda7NJ I agree with your comments on virtually everything I have read here but this one - NO. KC is as stupid as can be imo. She was only capable of fooling her equally deficient mamma and the 12 jurors who were even stupider than her!

I don't understand this emasculation of Travis' lack of "technique" or hyper-(stereotyped)-feminization/weakness given to Jodi. (She does try to make herself tiny in court though.) He did not tower over her, and while he was working on his fitness she was very fit as well. She also had the element of passionate motive and surprise. (I also think it's insulting to the victim to imply that we strangers could have handled it better.)

None of us truly know how we would react in to a situation as unexpected as this, especially the shock of someone we know intimately. The time frame is rather quick and we do not know when the first blow was given, only the time between the last alive photo and the bloody one.

We're talking about a psychopath/sociopath here. First off, you can't appeal to humanity. Jodi's concern is JODI and she wanted Travis and she finally realized that she couldn't have him. She's not stupid, so a change of heart claim wouldn't do. Jodi has also demonstrated when she has made up her mind about something, it cannot be changed. I can't be so confident in my ability to "negotiate" with a woman who stabbed a man 29 times including slit his throat ear to ear, shot him, cleaned up the scene as much as possible and waltz away like nothing happened... but maybe we have some super Casanovas out there, what do I know?

Hi everyone. I am a newbie and would like to say hello! I have been reading here for many years, and I am very captivated by this trial. I have been following it from the very beginning.

You folks seem very knowledgeable and I have really learned a lot from my browsing, and finally decided to join, since I had a quick question.

I came across what may or may not be a big mistake by Mr. Martinez, and was wondering what your thoughts might be, if it is big or not.

During Jodi's direct, there was a conflict of the happenings of Jan. 21, the day she walked in on Travis "supposedly" on the bed with the pics.

She testified to Mr. Nurmi that she talked with Travis later that night, after FHE about the "happenings" of earlier that day.

Mr. Martinez during cross, was showing texts and phone calls he was highlighting that there really wasn't a way that Jodi could have been at his house that night because he was at FHE.

He showed that after 11:33 she still was not at her house.

However, on the actual exhibit which shows the order of the calls/texts, the 11:33 wasn't PM (Monday night), it actually 11:33 AM (Tuesday morning).

He continued to question her on how she could have been at Travis' house that (Monday) night to discuss what she had seen.

There was actually a gap between 9pm on Monday to 11am Tuesday, in which she could have actually been there.

I hope this makes sense. Sorry about the long post. Just wondering if this is significant or not.

She testified at the 8-8 hearing for the pedo letters. She is not on the DT witness list, but we don't have JW's rebuttal list.
I would love to hear from her.

I have one question since the start of this trial and it is for any gun expert
on this site. I am left handed and have tried to figure how she was able to
to make that shot, Two things I know are(1) she had to either be above him
or (2) he was laying on the floor. Also she had to be to the right of his head
because facing him would be at the wrong angle. Maybe she did use the bench to stand on to fire the gun. Any suggestions would help solve this. Or maybe she used her right hand. Still puzzlings. As she would have had to be
behind him. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Why not with the left hand? He was shot in the right temple.

ITA. The pulling down the hallway doesn't phase me as much as what she had to deal with to stuff him back into the shower! She most likely had to step into the shower stall to pull him in. No easy feat.

Interestingly, JA isn't the only defendant to use "ninjas" in her crime story. There was a case on HLN this weekend where another perpetrator claimed two ninjas committed the crime.

Finally! I found it. It was on cross when Dr Horn was testifying, he said he doesn't think the GS is a contact wound because there is no stippling or a star shaped tear but when he clarifies to Willmont (sp) he says there could have been something in between Travis and the gun. He gave examples of a towel or some kind of garment.

Based on this my working theory is..

- There was no rope. The tassel fragments we've seen were parts of a pillow used to muffle the GS

- she wasn't feet away from an already dead/nearly dead Travis but right at his head.

- Her purpose was two fold: to make it look like two people committed the murder and to make triple sure he did not survive and implicate her.

The gunshot wound was inflicted at close range, just beyond 24 inches, is my belief. That's a very short distance. "Indeterminate range" does not mean far away, so there's no need to introduce a muffle.

The tassel fragment (the shiny one) could be many things. Could have been tracked in from the closet area or anywhere really. It doesn't match the two other fibers either yet Jodi identified them as being part of this "rope". Jodi just constructed a story around it to explain how the knife got involved. And that story is debunked by her claim that she threw the rope in the dumpster (made up to explain why no rope was found at the scene). There would have been no need for that. She could have tossed it in the washing machine if she was so concerned about forensics possibly finding her DNA on it. The dumpster story is ridiculous.
