I believe she deserves the DP, however, not the media attention that would likely be present when as the date of execution nears. I recall all the attention Karla Faye Tucker received, and someone like JA would thrive on the celebrity even as it meant her death was imminent.

She testified that she went over to Travis' that night and had sex. This was supposedly after all the pedo confrontation happened earlier that day -- after she got off work, and after she helped Travis move Christmas decorations. Seeing the absence of phone or text communications after 9:00 pm, I bet Jodi showed up at Travis' house after that. I do not believe there's any way she could have been there that afternoon, however, and believe the whole pedo confrontation was entirely fabricated.

No, it does not. Long long ago during FCA trial when I was behind, and my computer was really slow to refresh!....I changed to 100 posts per page. It is fabulous! I also changed my view to not see folks avatars, as that takes longer to load also. It's all about the loading! And without avatars, quicker and easier to read if you change that setting also........imho

Funny you brought that up. I was watching a true crime show the other night, and they said the prisoner got life in solitary confinement???
Maybe in certain states? Or maybe an old case?

The gunshot wound was inflicted at close range, just beyond 24 inches, is my belief. That's a very short distance. "Indeterminate range" does not mean far away, so there's no need to introduce a muffle.

The tassel fragment (the shiny one) could be many things. Could have been tracked in from the closet area or anywhere really. It doesn't match the two other fibers either yet Jodi identified them as being part of this "rope". Jodi just constructed a story around it to explain how the knife got involved. And that story is debunked by her claim that she threw the rope in the dumpster (made up to explain why no rope was found at the scene). There would have been no need for that. She could have tossed it in the washing machine if she was so concerned about forensics possibly finding her DNA on it. The dumpster story is ridiculous.

I would like to know what you think is in the picture of Travis at this link. It's the last picture of him in the shower, he has his head bent forward with eyes closed. What is the object in the bottom center of the picture.

Then again, how we know she even showered in TA's bathroom ? She had that case of Costco water in the trunk and could have washed up in the desert or possibly showered in one of the other bathrooms in the house.

jmo but if even looking at this theoretically and saying I believe that she was in fear for her life and shot him in self defense..even in going with that scenario IMO the entire self defense issue still immediately flies out the window due to the fact that just how in the hell can even self defense justify the literal OVERKILL that she inflicted??

Fine, in fear for her life she grabs a gun and shoots to stop him from attacking... OK, fine if even it were true that the initial gunshot wound to the head allowed him to continue to attack her so she is forced to shoot him a second time or more..that IMO "could" be claimed AND IMO would fall under the catagory of self defense...

but just how in the hell does it in any way whatsoever even come close to equating self defense when she in fear for her life shoots him in the head and then proceeds to butcher him with a stab to the heart area, 29 ADDITIONAL STAB WOUNDS AFTER THE GUNSHOT TO THE HEAD AND STAB TO THE AREA OF THE HEART...AND THEN TO LITERALLY SLICE HIS NECK WITH SUCH FORCE AND POWER TO LITERALLY NEARLY DECAPITATE HIM!!

I would like to know just how in the hell that could even be claimed or justified as even anything even resembling self defence.. obviously it did not take a gunshot to head, stab to chest, knicking the vena cava, 29 additional stab wounds, and near decapitation in order to stop the attack and allow her to get away....

IMO self defense is inflicting bodily harm on an individual that is in that moment a direct AND literal threat to your life and you're being unable to escape...IMO the entire premise of self defense is to disable the aggressor from following through in taking your life..therefor allowing the victim to escape from the aggressor.. so, IMO the self defense scenario immediately flies out the window in that Jodi didn't just merely take the steps necessary to disable her attacker allowing her to get away..she instead went waaaaaaaaaaay past that point in her continuing to viciously slaughter him long, long after the point of simply disabling him to allow her to flee..

IMO fine if she shot him one or more times and as a result he died from those injuries that IMO would have been justified by it being self defense...but its a completely different ballgame with the OVERKILL of infliction of bodily harm from which he died as a result..long before that extreme amount of wounds were inflicted she could have at any of those times ceased the inflicting of bodily harm once he was disabled allowing for her to flee..

SO, IMO even when I look at the perspective of Jodi truly having been in a position of fearing for her life from Travis and this being just cause for her shooting him...it still does not even begin to equate self defence due to the fact that she went so far, above and beyond the necessary amount of bodily harm to disable her attacker thus allowing her to flee to safety..

IMO the fact that she did go so far beyond the point necessary for her to flee to safety IMO COMPLETELY DISQUALIFIES THE CRIME FROM BEING THAT OF SELF DEFENSE..am I not correct in this?..and that is NOT a rhetorical question but rather a question I honestly would like to know the answer to..

Yes. Exactly. This is why she is being charged with the Death Penalty. It's virtually IMPOSSIBLE to subscribe to "self defence" with these facts + her admission that she killed him.

Let's just hope this jury is made up of "normal" people.

Jodi went to Darryl's home to use his property (gas cans) to try to conceal her involvement in the murder. I think she did the same with Matt. Having her grandpa's gun was convenient, but it would be very obvious when Travis was found dead with the same caliber bullet in his head. Jodi might have called Matt faking suicidal ideations and asked to borrow his gun (for her suicide) to determine if he had a gun . IMO, she planned to steal or permanently borrow Matt's gun and use it to kill Travis.

ITA. The pulling down the hallway doesn't phase me as much as what she had to deal with to stuff him back into the shower! She most likely had to step into the shower stall to pull him in. No easy feat.

I finally figured out what JA's testimony reminds me of - particularly when she's whimpering and sniffling and trying to sound hurt or in peril or simply over-dramatizing.

She sounds exactly like what my 7-8 y/o or so friends and I used to sound like when we would play "pretend", after having been shooed outside by our parents... Pretending we were from other countries, were runaways or orphans... just silly stuff - with the requisite tragic or dangerous event occurring every other minute or so, of course... little vignettes that we played out, making it up as we went along - blissfully unaware at how lousy our acting skills (if you can call them that) were.

JA's intonations and reactions sound freakishly similar.

And again, when a little older when we'd pass notes about boys and having a boyfriend meant kissing (highly unlikely) or holding hands (maybe)... the jealousies and broken hearts were immature - but developmentally normal for our age. JA's sound 'tween-y' too, only X-rated and just emotionally weird.

It's all so very, very creepy - especially since so much of JA's 'story' is so violent, vulgar, obscene and homicidal - NONE of which were part of my childhood playacting.

But the way she describes things, and the type of things she pretends to be upset by or hurt her feelings... It's hard to explain given the dark dichotomy in JA's world that didn't exist in mine.

I hope at least one person knows what I mean about the little-kid lousy over-acting...

UUUgh. I hate to ask this but has anyone seen a pic of her two-hole wonder with a timestamp? I watched one of the two 48 hour videos again tonight and Flores says that there were "minutes" between sexually explicit pics and the ones of TA in the shower. I thought that the explicit pics were all around 1-1:30 pm and the shower pics were around 5:30? Am I missing something?
