OMG, you are right! I was racking my brains wondering why JM was focusing on the remote. After reading this, I looked it up and you're right - a DVD player was stolen from the grandparents house. Wow, that is the nail in the coffin for little miss killer.

I'm just catching up w/ posts, so I'm sure by the time this shows up it would have been discussed and I'm going to apologize in advance. I just can't believe how excited I am over this.

Jurors viewed photos of Arias's grandparents home and heard from Officer Friedman on the items that were reportedly taken: the handgun, $30 in cash and a DVD player were taken. Just as importantly, Prosecutor Juan Martinez pointed to items that weren't taken, such as the television, Arias's laptop, and stacks of quarters were located immediately above the cabinet where the 25 caliber gun was taken. Other guns remained untouched in the home.

You guys rock! I never would have thought about this.

With regard to all the photo hair/no hair and quality of Jodi's photography (which was always terrible, she was one of those gals who bought a DSLR, takes a few pictures of flowers and declares herself a photog) discussion as others have pointed out some or all of the "photos" are actually recovered thumbnails and not full-resolution.

With regard to the back wounds (big leap, just speculating), with Jodi's testimony, from what I can recall and am watching she tried to claim he wasn't directly on top of her but grabbing at her. I wonder if they're going to say he got on top of her, somehow the knife was nearby and she stabbed him in the back while he was on top of her. (Of course we have no explanation for how the blood spatter got in the sink). Which is a big leap but Jodi and her defense clearly don't consider plausibility that often. Even though they need to explain the wounds on one level, or at least on a human level the jury would want to know, it also seems like getting into it just digs a deeper hole.

If I heard correctly in yesterday's testimony, she dragged him TWICE!! The picture with her foot shows her dragging him towards the bedroom (to the spot where all the blood was on the carpet). Juan asked her about the orientation of the picture and he pointed to Travis's foot and asked if that was in the direction of the bathroom and she answered yes. That means that she dragged him both ways down that hallway.

I heard something on TV the other day ... a friend of Jodi said that he and she believe that there will be a mistrial, that another trial will take years and that at most, she will get 5 years. I can't begin to understand what she is thinking ... except that she must expect that all juries are like the Anthony jury. I hope it isn't so.

One thing I think gets her to Premeditation fast is how fast it all took place. Like she had each thing covered. What I think also comes across is her evil nature. She could have just waited for him to fall asleep sneak in and shoot him, She could have shot him a couple of times and that would have been it. But she wanted to do hand to hand combat. She wanted to stab him and slit his throat. Those are vicious cold acts.

She did not kill him while he slept for a reason. She wanted him to see her and to know that she was killing him.

Arias also testified that she did not know about the Hoover Dam checkpoint. I find that extremely hard to believe as don't you have to go through the checkpoint to get to Las Vegas ? And she never went to Las Vegas from Mesa with Travis & company before 6/4/08 ?

JA definitely went from Mesa to Las Vegas to visit with Gus in his long but not wide or wide but not long [:crazy:] motorhome.

Is the Hoover Dam checkpoint on the most direct route between Mesa and LV? TIA

Just wondering, where is the bath mat that was supposed to be in front of the shower? Didn't Jodi say it was there when she was taking pics? Granted I am getting confused between Jodi's many lies and all the info.

I am also intrigued by Travis having hairless legs in the bed pic but is miraculously sporting hair on his legs in the shower pics.

When I heard her testimony on this, I assumed that the 'bathmat' she spoke of was a little towel-like one that Travis put in front of the shower when he took one. It may have been a hand towel or smaller towel he used for that purpose.

I don't recall seeing a terry-cloth 'bathmat' from the washer, but several small towels (that would have been covered in blood and thus doused with bleach).

She's referring to a completely different object - not the rattan-like one in front of the tub (that I thought was more of a decorative little rug) that we saw in CS photos. He probably hung it over the shower door when not showering. Just guessing.

I think that 'bathmat'/small towel ended up having the same fate as the camera.

The gal that is writing the book 'Picture Perfect' posted about the 'letter hearing' on her FB (sorry, don't recall her name but someone posted the link here the other day). She had all the details of that hearing, but don't ask me how 'cos I can't imagine she would be allowed to attend it. Anyway, she quoted Juan speaking to MM, who had testified. He apparently told MM that 'if he testifed about those letters, he (Juan) would have him up on perjury charges before his feet hit the ground.'

Second, and separate issue; if there was a gun in Travis' house/involved it was planted there WHILE she was cleaning it. It may have already put it there in her premeditation, that crappy .25, and Travis had no idea.

Sure Jodi would be "relieved" to get away with murdering Travis and have no one suspecting she was his killer for the rest of her life.

It was Jodi's goal to avoid detection or connection to the crime. She says goal. Calling the detective, leaving the messages to Travis after he was dead, going to see Ryan is all part of her goal. That must include killing Travis as part of her goal which means it was premeditated, IMO.

I hope Juan uses that in his closing, she sure did as per her words have "goal"s

If for some crazy reason JA got a mistrial, I would bet they would retry her immediately...within weeks.

her Ishothimfirst story also is cruel and heinous as arias testified on direct and on cross that Travis was awake, yelling, and moving (thus thinking) when she stabbed him.

she cannot have her cake and eat it too.

I think she said the bit about the yelling and clothes grabbing after she shot him to try to CONVINCE us that he was still attacking her (thus why she stabbed him).

Epic fail when looking at the
1) time constraint of less than two minutes(pictures)
2) forensic evidence

This is so important. I just don't see how she could get out of this.
