The picture of him looking surprised...That's the pic that says it all! He didn't have a clue that she was crouching down and taking pictures (without flash) until THAT very moment. Somehow after that, she got him to sit down. Gun, knife, freaky talk - whatever he sat down. His look in the last pic where he's looking straight at the camera? I think he thought wtf but I also still think he was trying to connect/communicate with her. I don't thing he (or anyone else who might be "normal") would have ever imagined that she would do what she did...Gun or knife in hand, he felt that their lines of communication were still open. I don't see fear in his face there. I see the expression of someone trying to connect, to make contact.

I think she stabbed or shot him immediately after. And then all hell broke loose because he didn't die and most probably tried to come after her...And THAT is why she feels so justified in pleading "self defence"!

YES! I think after her first assault, he came after her - to protect his own life. She is skewing this every which way she can...

I'm worried about the jury! Since the Anthony case! I pray this jury is with it. I think the difference was that the Anthony jury was sequestered! The foreman had a cruise scheduled for the next day! I think they just wanted to go home period. Judge perry spent to much time trying to appease them with movies! Different resteraunt s! They forgot what they were there for. I swore I'd never follow another trial and here I am.

In depiction number one, if Travis body slammed her then her head would most likely have been towards the sink and closet area and her feet would be pointing towards the shower area.

In depiction number two the gun was located on the top shelf closest to the bathroom door not to the bedroom door as you show it.

This is what I think too. She had enough busy work to do without cleaning a bathtub or other shower. She dragged him into the shower, straddled him (for the last time) and probably congratulated herself for a job well done.

Possibly. So she would have stripped down right outside the shower and just hopped in to rinse off? If she rinsed off in the shower, she still had to traipse through puddles of blood to get back to the carpet area, so she would have to wipe off her feet again at that point as well. I think she may have just wiped herself off with the towel that Travis would have used to dry himself, and then threw it in the wash with his bloody clothes and camera -- along with the black socks she was wearing, tossed her bloody clothes, gun, knife, imaginary rope and KY in the backpack and set it all on fire or buried it in the desert.

When did she take the braids out of her hair and rinse out her hair? I think that's what the case of water was for in her car. I think she used it to wash herself down, having only wiped off the excess blood while she was at Travis' house.

Obviously I'm very behind-but I was shocked to hear him say exactly that when I watched that portion of the video on youtube. Listened twice to be sure. But I don't think it would be considered coaching...more like advising the client. Doesn't matter because she doesn't take direction anyways.

This struck me too yesterday during cross. He was saying if you shot him and now his back is to you, why then, why did you stab him in the back? He was not a threat to you anymore..

....law is you can't go at someone with more force than necessary so if she stopped the threat of death, she could have then turned and walked out. AND not killed him

Just going by my experience in watching all the different CSI type shows ...
I would think that the crime scene techs would have checked the tub for latent blood.
If JA had used them tub to clean up in, and thought she'd scrubbed it clean - the CSI techs would have founds blood traces there with their equipment They usually even check the tub drain pipe for blood/etc.
No, I don't think she used the tub.

I think it is possible for JA to have used to tub to clean herself off after cleaning up the blood as much as she could. It makes more sense to me than in her trying to use the shower because it was small to begin with (28-1/2"w) and with TA's body in it at the time, pretty much impossible.

I am not certain that she has on just socks during the murder as JA claimed. The socks would have been soaked in blood and removing them would still have left blood on the bottom of her feet. Since there was no blood found in the bedroom, she had to clean her feet really well or remove the shoes she was wearing, perhaps stepping out of them where the blood was into a blood free area like the closet before picking them up (maybe putting them in a plastic bag) and taking them with her when she left.

The plastic cup is puzzling because we have not heard anything about them finding her fingerprints on. She may have even used the plastic cup that was found in the shower to help rinse herself off in the tub before getting dressed and leaving. She also may have used a bathroom cleaner of some type or bleach to rinse the sides and bottom of the tub out before throwing it in the shower. If she did that there would have been very little if any blood left in the drain pipes by the time he was found. For as violent as the murder was in that bathroom, I was surprised that there was on blood spatter or anything found in the tub. Do we know if they even tested the bathtub drains because I don't remember hearing about it? I have to admit that I was a little surprised that they did not do much testing outside of his bed/bathroom and a little in the laundry.

I think when she started to clean up she may have used gloves and took them with her to dispose of later. Without bandaging her bleeding hand or putting on gloves there would be no way for her to get out of the house without leaving some blood evidence. There is no way she left his house with his blood on her hands, body, and feet without cleaning up really well first. If she found blood on her hands when she was in the desert (and she never said anything about bloody clothes) it would have been from her own bleeding wounds on her hand. There is no way to explain how she got out of the house without leaving any traces of blood along the way, unless she cleaned herself up really well first, putting on clean clothes and either clean shoes or was barefoot.

But how about washing herself in the tub? That makes a lot more sense to me. Much easier for her to wash herself in the tub, rather than standing on top of Travis in the shower. That just doesn't compute for me.

This may be a *really* stupid question....
I am on a private septic system ....so pretty much everything "drained" is in my buried private tank....was TA on a city sewer system? Or one like mine?
I'm sure this has been discussed ....but....

It is my understanding Jodi wanted to defend herself at first. She even presented some official motions in her own defense. Even forged some letters supposed to be from Travis talking about his propensity towards pedophilia.

After several attorneys on her behalf quit, Nurmi was assigned and denied a motion to be be replaced. He didn't want her, either.

The US Constitution guarantees every single person the right to a defense. It makes no distinction. I believe in the US Constitution.
